USAGE
---

IMPORT DressYourOwnGolem.mdx to a path of your CHOICE and make a UNIT OR HERO use the model.
IMPORT the complete SET(S) OF ATTACHMENTS for your FAVOURITE GOLEM LOOK(S).
The UNIT OR HERO will be INVISIBLE in the editor. THIS IS CORRECT.

Now use all your POWER to apply the ATTACHMENT MODELS to the golem so that they will appear IN-GAME.

An ATTACHMENT SET consists of 15 or more BODY PARTS.
WARNING: MAY CONTAIN SMALL PARTS

Additional DECORATIONS could be provided for even greater VALUE.

Body parts use "first/second/third" tags in order to preserve the original set of attachment points for normal special effect usage.

All attachment-point strings should be completely in LOWER CASE in the Object Editor.

HEAD:		head first
CHEST:		chest first
PELVIS:		chest second
SHOULDER:	hand (right/left) third
ARM:		hand (right/left) second
HAND:		hand (right/left) first
THIGH:		foot (right/left) third
ANKLE:		foot (right/left) second
FOOT:		foot (right/left) first

While the base model can only be DRAG-SELECTED in the World Editor, dressed Golems CAN be SELECTED NORMALLY in-game. Selection is handled by TWO COLLISION SHAPES as in the ORIGINAL GolemStatue model, and these WILL RESPOND to clicks. This has BEEN TESTED.

MAKING YOUR OWN PARTS
---

Canny users will have noted that all the ADDITIONAL ATTACHMENT POINTS reside on the ORIGIN. This means that a model following the SHAPE of Units\Creeps\GolemStatue\GolemStatue.mdx can be created, and simply EXPORTED IN PIECES without additional WORRIES concerning the FINE TUNING of GEOMETRY PLACEMENT.

It's like MAGIC.

Parts do not need any form of animation or specific sequences; this is all handled by the base model. Parts can be as simple as a lump of GEOMETRY attached to a DEFAULT BONE with a DEFAULT SEQUENCE. Like a DOODAD. You can, of course, go NUTS with EMITTERS or TEXTURE ANIMATIONS or ANYTHING YOU CAN NORMALLY DO IN A MODEL.

NO BASE MODELS.
NO SKELETONS.
NO BONES.

But because I am a NICE MAN, I have included the MILKSHAPE 3D MODELS from which the PARTS were EXPORTED. Just so you can FOLLOW THEIR SHAPE when you CREATE YOUR OWN PARTS. Because you are CREATIVE.

BUT THEY'RE ALL IN ONE GROUP, I hear you say.
That is CORRECT. To export the individual PIECES, you must DELETE EVERYTHING ELSE.
While this may be a little INCONVENIENT at EXPORT TIME, it makes MODELLING THE ACTUAL GOLEM much EASIER. ARTISTS like EASY. ARTISTS like YOU.
Just make sure you don't DELETE EVERYTHING ELSE and then HIT SAVE. This is BAD PRACTICE.
