MTG TD Feedback

This is the 2nd release (version) of Uber MTG TD. If it wasn't already obvious, this TD is based roughly on Magic: The Gathering CCG.

I have been working on this project (on and off) for a couple years now, and I am pretty close to finishing it.

When you start out, you choose a tower builder (there are 6 to choose from), each builder is unique in the strategy for mazing and attacking, and also has strengths and weaknesses versus the other builders.
The choices:
Volrath - Black
Viashino - Red
Counter Mage - Blue
Yavimaya - Green
White Weenie - White
Sliver Summoner - Sliver

In addition to these 6, there are 3 additional artifact builders. These builders are used to supplement/enhance the defensive capabilities of your primary builder. Each Artifact builder has approx. 6 additional towers to choose from and an assortment of equipment (items) for towers.
Urza - Focuses primarily on life gain.
Mishra - Random focus.
Karn - Focuses primarily on damage.

Sending attackers increases tempo (read: income), which in turn allows you to build stronger towers and send stronger attackers.

Each primary builder has access to approx. 32 different attackers (yes, that is about 200 in total) , with tons of special abilities (that actually effect game play strategy).

Part of what sets this map apart from the rest of income based TD's, is a spell system that allows players to respond and react to each other. Each tower builder has access to 8 unique spells (slivers only have access to 2 spells) that augment attackers/defenders, deal damage to towers/players, kill land/towers/attackers/artifacts/enchantments/anythingimforgetting, counter spells, and more...

Most income based TD's are determined solely on the income of the players, this TD requires more micro management because you have to draw cards and play lands, and pay attention to the spells that other players have (drawing cards gives lumber which is required for towers, and playing land increases max. food which is required for towers and for sending units).

This map supports up to 8 players, but personally I find that this map is more interesting 1v1 (its easier to see how the builders interact).

All in all, this is an entertaining TD that takes some time to master, requires skill and a little luck.

Quick note...
Urza should be heal and life (as it is), Mishra should be DAMAGE (seeing as he's the tainted brother) and Karn could go either way - he's bloody confused as it is.

I love the map; I hope in later versions multicolors will be introduced :D
I believe the slivers need more spells (maybe changeling spells?) because going land, land, land, copy artifact is not very fun.

Karn is more of a paladin...heck, he casts Wrath of God atleast once that I've read in the books. He is not very confused at all.

I appreciate all the feedback, I will definitely make flavor changes as suggested (i.e. making karn = random, and mishra = dmg (or whatever the consensus decides)). I've never actually read any of the books so as far as character plot goes, I'm a bit out of the loop.
As far as the slivers go, I have had a very difficult time deciding what types (read: flavor) of spells to give them. I will take a look through all the changeling spells as suggested.

EDIT: Oh yeah, sorry mods for putting this in the wrong forum (and thanks for moving it). Also, I do plan on adding multicolored decks/spells (but that is prob awhile off).

Btw, the black dudes (volrath) are uber. If you get 10 swamps then one of ur spells will deal 100% of attackers life as damage to them, and if you have a methidros vampire then youve basicly won!

Get those bats asap, then get a bloom and a methidros, and your bloom will keep getting uber strong, as will ur bats. I also have a feelign the ghosts will become uber form the Methdros. (i have mephidross in real life, i love him <3)

Loving ur td tho!

EDIT: id realy like to see a game with as many MTG cards on it as possible, and as true to MTG as possible. Would be realy fun =)
EDIT2: spawn life needs a rebalance i think, a bit too strong!

If you are talking about the spell Mutilate, yes it will destroy all attackers in the lane, but it isn't repeatable, so it will only save you from one wave (btw, white has Wrath of God which does the same thing, except it doesn't depend on the number of Plains).

Bitterblossom isn't affected by Mephidross, as it doesn't directly attack, but sends other units to attack.

What is "spawn life," I cant remember/find any black spells/towers/etc. with that name, but there are multiple ways to gain life, and they may be too cheap/good/imba and need to be fixed. Would you please elaborate on this point. In previous versions each life point was worth approximately 3 lumber, in this version I reduced the cost to 2 lumber. This change was largely experimental, I will do some testing regarding this issue, and if others also find it to be a problem, I will definitely change it back.

In short, I don't think that either Mephidross or Mutilate is overpowered (if you still disagree, please do a bit more testing, then post again).
