Name is Zachary :) And no, I use a bit of custom scripting, but nothing crazy. All is done tru the triggers available...just need to put it togeather :) I'll be posting an update to the Keeper of Souls, added another spell and fixed a few bugs :) |

Lol good idea. I would like to thank Panto for stickying this thread. I think i will contribute another spell into the fray. But this time, the spell will truly go to the very limits of trigering. It is called Valcano Eruption. |

Folks, watch your signature lengths. Try to keep the total height of your sig to less than 500 pixels. Find a 500 pixel image somewhere and compare it to your sig. hiya, take time to phrase your questions clearly and ask about specific things. Blanket questions will only get you vague answers. Also, if you want to ask extensively about a spell, you should either PM the spell's creator or ask in the Map Development forum. 35263526 and others, there is no excuse to flame anyone, even a little, so don't do it. If you feel the urge to flame, report the post instead. Really, it's a lot more satisfying. And it's no problem for me to deal with it. There's no nead to clutter up a thread with a pointless post that's just about another person's pointless post. If you really need to flame, go to some other unnamed Warcraft 3 web forum. ls_freak, you didn't outright flame, but you were using fighting words. In my eyes, that's inciting another person to flame. Don't post unless it's pertinent to the thread topic. This is a forum about learning and teaching each other how to use this freaking awesome WE tool, so let's keep it on track. I'm loving these spells, and personally I'm thinking about rabidly ripping every single unprotected one of them from this thread for the next map. :hammer: Keep up the unusually excellent work. |

First things first, my hat goes off to all you spell makers, there is some great work here, perfect to learn from. Thanks! :D @Lord Vexorian When I try to open your map in the WE, it comes up with a trigger error, something about "CompareLocationsBJ", then it crashes. Is there anything I can do to fix this ? |

Probably he was using a map editor that is different than what you use when creating the map. That is the most likely answer. |

Didn't know that mattered, but to add to my previous post then : I'm using the plain vanilla TFT WE (1.12), no patches or enhanced editors installed. Hope there is a way. Could you save the map without this 1 trigger otherwise? it seems to be the only thing preventing opening of the map. (obviously I'd mis out on 1 skill then...) |

@ spin--try UMSWE or WEU to open it, they may have the trigger function that he used @ Panto--i used "fighting words?" 0_o i was attempting to stop the flaming, but once again i my words are taken the wrong way... @ everyone making spells--good job, I haven't had time to look at the last couple, but they almost all look very good :D |

That is really weird, I made sure that no trigger was requiring UMSWE, also that function is a BJ so it shouldn't be causing you problems |

Time for some spells :) I've finished my Keeper of Souls spells, and here is the last two :) Spell Name: Soul Clash Description: Challenges the targets soul to a battle with the keeper, deals 100 damage to the target and 40 to the keeper. (both increase each level) The spell is the Death Coil spell. (I haven't changed the icon or added tool tip) Screenshot: Soul Clash Spell Name: Release Soul Description: Lets the Keepers soul rest and gain power, while deceiving thoes who oppose him. This spell is the "resurection stone" icon :) I have no screens, as it's a hard spell to capture :) Looks awesome in game. It actually looks like the Keeper dies, but he comes back, refreshed (+300hp at level 1) This is his ultimate. Tell me what you think :) BTW: Dark Rev, no need for points...doing this to show off and promote my AoS :) NOTE: The Keepers skin and model isn't included in this map |

*cracks fingers* All right, here comes my motherload. If you plan to use ANY of these for your maps, please tell me via PM or something. Credit in the map would be nice too. Contained within are several spells I made, most of them working and bug free. There are several custom skins from other people in this map. I cannot recall off hand who did what, but I take credit only for the Warden's, which is my Azure Assassin skin. I'll be listing a few spells that I've messed around with to be rather different in use, though not trigger enhanced. Hellfire Unit: Cryomancer (Blood Mage) Status: Working. Trigger enhanced: No It's not fire anymore. Rather, it summons a bunch of tornadoes. I may or may not use this spell in the final version of my map, but it will defiantly be on another hero (Cryomancer = cold mage). Though not trigger enhanced, I'm pointing it out just because it looks cool. Frost Armor Unit: Cryomancer (Blood Mage) Status: Working. Trigger Enhanced: No The Cryomancer's eventually going to have an attack range a little shorter than most mage heroes. As such, he'll be a bit more suited for melee combat, though he's still a mage and does poorly hand-to-hand. This skill helps to protect him in such situations. It's simply a modified Frost Armor made only to target himself. You should set it to auto-cast so that he recasts it when his last one wears off. Cold Snap Unit: Cryomancer (Blood Mage) Status: Working. Trigger Enhanced: Yes This is a nifty little spell. What Cold Snap does is take the units in the targeted region and reduce their life by one-third. It also stuns for a very short amount of time (like one and a half seconds at level 5). Think Static Field from D2. Hunting Glaive Unit: Assassin (Warden) Status: Working. Trigger Enhanced: No Fun fun fun. This slow moving glaive will follow it's target no matter how far they run. As soon as it's cast, the target better fall back quick and prepare, cause they're gonna have to eat it sooner or later. Cataclism Unit: Mage Breaker (Spell Breaker) Status: Working. Trigger Enhanced: Yes This one's kinda fun. Check it out for yourself. Degeneration Ward Unit: Dark Shaman (Shadow Hunter) Status: Working. Trigger Enhanced: No A ward that eats away at the life and mana of nearby foes, but only if they're not topped off. Divine Intervention Unit: Witch Hunter (Proudmoore) Status: Working. Trigger Enhanced: Yes Summons an angel to fight by the Witch Hunter's side. One of the angel's abilities uses triggers. Hot Feet Unit: Pyromancer (Jiana) Status: Working. Trigger Enhanced: Yes I give Das Jank credit for coming up with this one. Unable to check out his map, I conceived my own method of recreating the Sorceress's Blaze ability from D2, and I must admit that mine works rather well. Black Death Unit: Death Lord (Evil Arthas) Status: Working. Trigger Enhanced: Yes Upon being cast, the Death Lord's mana halts regeneration, and drinking potions are a waste. In addition, his life begins to slowly drain away. In exchange, he grants the ability to eat away at the health of every enemy unit within a large area. It's radius is equal to that of an aura. There is a smorgasbord of other half-finished and buggy abilities in this map, but those are the major highlights as of now. Feel free to check it out. |

Crap. The map's file size is too big. |
