Here's the progress on the Thaumaturge so far. As my brother said "the head needs work". I also will probably edit it more to give it more taureny proportions. I've been trying, with this model, to imitate Blizzard's caricature style art. I think I'm doing pretty good, don't you? Anyway, here tis. ![]() |

I dont mind at all :), nice to see my idea put to good use, all of those abilties sound really great, good job I like the model so far, looks pretty sweet. Possible project/mod team name: -Deciples of the Earth Mother -The Warchief's Chosen -Tauren High Council -Skies of Fire Thinking about the new tilesets n such, and thinking about the creeps to go on it, we could have one creep kinda like a dragon, but called a hellkite. Its wings are fire and mane are fire, but its body is sleek and a dark blue dragon body. |

I'd go with Nature's Chosen... Not the Warchief's. |

Ok, I've made a spell making map. As it says somewhere in my profile, my expertise is triggers, so I made the Ardent hero. (These aren't terribly complex spells, really) Don't worry about dying, as you will revive. Volcano may be a bit overpowered at the moment. Heh... |

Look above, picture has been updated. Just so you know, the spikes in his staff are pieces of hits ancestors' horns. (Read in my Warcraft art book that tauren do that) By the way, who wants a shot at skinning this? |

I like that model A LOT. Its pretty damn sweet. The head is kinda wide tho, if the cheecks (just below horns) were a bit thinner and cheek bones mroe pronounced it would look better I think. |

Cool spells, Bhav. Bastion needs to be replaced though. That's boring. Updated model again. Edit head size, haunches, cheekbones. |

I agree, bastion could definitely use a makeover... Perhaps a 'reverse' cleaving attack? Inspiring Valor- The Ardent's attacks are brave and vicious, to the extent that nearby friendly units gain (15%,25%,40%) of his attack damage as hit points each time he strikes. Perhaps even an "Immolation Aura"... Fervor - Grants all nearby friendly units a shield of blessed fire that deals (2,3,5) damage per second to enemy units. (No worries; I can do this with ease. There'll be an icon, but it can be put in a place where no unit will have an ability.) |

i dont know if someone has said this. i dind't wanna read through all the posts. but why not have a campaign with Taurens vrs Centaurs. when Thrall meets the Taurens he saves them form centaurs. there could be alot of potential there i think. |

There's a good idea.... :infth: tho it probly has been thought about, the thing is, centaur would be REALLY ahrd to make a race for. Sweet, I like the screen shot, I would skin, but I have no idea where to begin... |

Updated image again. Shrunk head and horns, fixed neck, added some stuff on back, put in a dynamic pose, and place on an attractive desert background! Let's choose a name tonight. I'll go with... the Tauren of Mulgore Warcraft III: Storm, Earth, and Fire Warcraft III: The Land of Strife Warcraft III: The Skies of Fire Or perhaps some others. I think it should be Warcraft III: something. The something must be ominious and cool sounding, but not restrictive to the tauren at all. |
| 12-07-2003, 11:49 PM | #164 |
Warcraft III: The SKies of Fire :infth: I think the head is a little too small now. Its REALLY disproportionate to his body, should be slgihtly bigger |

How about Warcraft III: Ominious Causatum Big words, cool sounding, applicable, non-restrictive meaning... (Means foreboding aftermath, if you haven't heard of the words. Fits, I think, as we are making new races to combat each other, all of which will take place after TFT. Thus, great dangers and strife loom on the horizons for Lordaeron and Kalimdor, as new factions gain power and assault one another.) |
