oh and btw, i forgot to mention this earlier, but someone has 1950's mob as the theme.... if this is the true golden age of the mob with tommy guns and such, it takes place during the late 1920's and VERY early 1930's (as in predepression which began in late 1932)

Kansas-State University, actually. Sorry, the issue of KU vs. KSU is a big thing in Kansas - easy to forget how little it impacts the rest of the world.

:( ive never understood this. it seems to follow no storyline.

Just post flashy maffia pictures, and have X mentioned! that should work...

There's usually a storyline, it's just usually very simple:

Pirates - Erwtenpeller and crew trying to kidnap X.
Fantasy - Adventurers from everywhere travel to defeat the Sorceress Jacinthe and rescue X.
Airships - Uh, well, yeah, that one was pretty random.
Heaven & Hell - The demon lord Rictus tries to invade Heaven and capture/kill the lady of the Holy City, X.

And, Mafia - A new don is causing trouble, and with her brother out of the picture, X has to run the family business and put an end to her competition.

You just have to pay attention, catch every detail you can.
