Is it just me or do .mdx's exported from the art tools crash war3viewer? if this hapopesn fro anyoen else, I know why. I Will explain it as it appears in the .mdl (theprophet, if you need any additional help, see nub, hes good with .mdxs, and he understand what im tlakign about) ok in the faces section of the .mdl it starts out like this Faces 1 252 { So it then lists 252 integers that correspond to the vertexes that make up the tris. with the art tools, it groups them up liek this Faces 84 252 { it then has 84 sets up 3 verts. I am not sure why they decided to do this, maybe its faster to read them in blocks liek this, but nub informs me it is done in a similar way in the .mdx . if you need any mroe info, pm me, and i will try to explain in mroe depth |

I'll try to look into this as soon as I have some free time. Yesterday, I have worked a few on particles systems... |

Ok, I've just downloaded this tool and now I'm sitting here looking like a questionsmark. I just can't understand how to find my models, I've only been abel to open the ones I've downloaded, but I can't find their skins. So if someone just could answer where I can find the models and skins in a easy way, I would be thankfull! |

First, you have to load either the war3.mpq or the war3x.mpq located in your Warcraft 3 installation directory. Then, you can browse the opened mpq file with the treeview window. If you want to load a model which is not in the MPQ files, just open it with the File/Open... menu, or with the "Local drives" radio button in the treeview window. |

Warcraft 3 Viewer 2.3 has been released. Check it out : http://www.xeberon.net/view.php?id=125&page=0 Changes in version 2.3 : - The most important thing : particle emitters are (partially) managed, so you can see a more realistic Infernal ;) I say "partially" because I have not been able to figure out each of the parameters of the particle emitters Blizzard are using. - The Warcraft 3 Viewer can now read the MDXs created by the Art Tools. - The Warcraft 3 Viewer comes now with the FULL SOURCE CODE, including the animations source code . I hope it will be useful. - Some bug fixes here and there. |

Suggestions for upcoming version: 1. Can u allow us to somehow export the mdx file of Blizzard's own unit(not fully)? From that I mean, I just want to see the helpers and bones and the refs and linking among them from Blizzard's original mdx files. Not the animation or particles 'cos I know that would be tough. 2. I tried opening my own model animated one and I can see its 0 frame in the viewer. When I select the camera and the animation, I only see the particles and not the mesh. Can u fix this issue or am I somewhere wrong? 3. The camera movement really sucks. Otherwise its a great program especially for the support of watching portrait models and rendering animation to gif. If only u fix issue no.2 it would be great that I would be able to render the animation. |

I could maybe try to fix issue number 2 only if you gave me your MDX file ! Moreover, I have not so much free time, and the full source code is now available... But give me your mdx file, I'll see if I can make something. |

That's the only problem. I cannot give you the mdx file until the mod is released. Well, its ok. Surely someone else might have the same problem and u might then fix the issue. :D |

I am absolutely sorry, but I cannot help you without the MDX. |

Hi, when i try to open nearly any MDX file, (i tried the tiger mdx from the download, a skinless ogre one headed, and many other downloaded models or skinless blizzard models.) i get this error: "Warcraft 3 Viewer has caused an error in WARCRAFT 3 VIEWER.EXE. Warcraft 3 viewer will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer." Did i download a defeacted W3V? With the older version, i could look at them fine... |

Please give me either the links to the MDXs or the MDXs themselves, I'll try and see what I could do. |

Ok, here is one that won't open on me, it's the skinless ogres portrait. The reason i took it's skin away was to give it a custom skin, the portrait works fine in-game with the skin, but it refuses to open in the viewer. |

I have just opened it, and it loads very fine. Even animations are working... |

On mine, it gives me an error, it does it on nearly everything, what could be the problem? |
