No Riddle you cant do the map terraining, sorry. But you're very welcome to help Freakzoid if he needs help. And the custom doodads or terrain would be nice.

Zazzadar if it's not to much to ask i would like you to start with the Materia system. You don't have to do it right away. I will give you details by time how you should make it.

Well ill hunt down my FF7 walkthrough and get a list of materia.

Just one thing...i dont think its gonna be able to be done with items...i mean you can pick them up but then ill have to create variables and junk, just so you know. Oh and its probobaly gonna help if i know a little about the battle system perhpas.

Do you want me to look at the triggers side of equipping and casting ? Or the look of spells when cast? Or both?

I guess i'll wait for further details ^_^ But i dont mind at all making the materia system..thing lol

I don't know much about the World Editor and stuff (I'm starting to learn :D) but I always liked this game, and I was planning to make this too If I ever learnt how xD (I beat the game 5 times + Weapons :D)
I dunno what I could do... I could Trigger and stuff in Starcraft but obviously that's way different... I could be a Tester/Balancer or maybe a Terrainer :O

Here are a few ideas I was gonna use xP

Have 2 Wisps(Made a LOT Smaller) having it follow each Character (These are the Materia Slots for the Characters) and a Inventory/Stash type of thing at each town, could be trigger base to transfer/use items

Main Hero will have 6 Slots - Weapon, Bangle, Accessory, Effect, Emergency Item
Effect = Fury/Sadness/Berserk, etc.

Materia Slots on Wisps based on Weapon, Items given to wisps are "Materia" and give the Wisp certain spells.

Items like Double Cut = 100% Atk Speed? and Slash-All = Cleave, etc...

For Giving Weapon Attack Boosts, Give a Aura that effects only the same hero it's following, as well as a + Dmg Boost. (FF7 Weapons give a Direct Damage Boost as well as a % Boost) Armor might be different since its All % Base...)

Mini-Games... Motarcycle mini-game could use the triggers to change Camera Angle and use Arrow Keys to move (Sorta like the Horse Racing Game in Wc3 if anyone's played that)

Allow Save/Load Codes to a certain area... Like If you have a Lvl 50 Cloud, the next time you play, you could have a Lvl 50 Char in a certain area, with Weapons and everything replaced appropriately and put onto the right Quests (So you don't need a certain character to start the game and adds re-play value)

Is it possible to reduce/increase damage with Triggers with Elements (Lightning vs Mech etc.)

Well, i have a lot of costum tree models, but i think i dont want to use them.

Why can't I do the terrain?

Well Freakazoid could give me the map and we both would work on the terrain and decide which one is better when they're done..

This is no competition. You'll have to understand that. If you want to take over the terraining part of the project you can stop posting in this thread. I don't care how good you are. If you're better than Freakzoid i don't care, because if you are it's better for Freakzoid to learn than just get kicked out learning nothing. You can have a 2nd terrainer part in this but nothing else. It's up to you. (not like we need one more)

Anywho i had an idea for the materia....its not great but you know. (WateryAura like your ideas keep at it hope you learn the editors full power it can do some amazing things)

Press a key for now ill say ESC that brings up the main menu dialoge box (like the normal one in FF7) Fro mthere you can open up equipment and materia menus.

The equipment one (havent thought about it) will et you equip accesory and weapon (thats all you can equip in FF7 right?)

The Materia one takes you to a secluded part in the map (not very big) where there is a power node (magical lantern dodad) fro mthat you chose a character which brings up a menu then click eaither accesory or Weapon. Above the power node circles of power (representing slots) will appear depending on the equipment piece. Then by selcecting a cirlce of power (slot) a list of all the unused materia you own appears. The either a: choose one (it'll have to be a dialouge) or B: text command it ie. the player types it as a message.....which is easier but looks poor. Thats as far as i got and of ocurce i havnt written down all the background variable work but ya know it complicated enough (i know what im doing in my head).

Ill make a VERY crude version of it to show you what i mean. Its the best thing i coudl thing of without using endless dialouge menus and endless triigers for those menus. But knowing me i have probobaly missed a very simple method LOL so jsut tell me if i have (sometimes i go a little toooooooo compicated when its really simple...then go back and change it and think....whooops that wouls have saved me a few days)

Well, could I then get the map and terrain it to test my skills?... I won't give it to anyone, It will just be some nice Terrain...

I wouldn't mind. But you should talk to Freakzoid since he is the Boss in the Terrain part.

Uhh, i don't know realy, im 15 and i have 16 subjects and i have to study 14 of them every day for longer than an Hour, i'm pissed. I will only have a 15 day holyday over the new year.
