Yup thats what it was, my color depth was set to 16 bit. When I changed it to 32 it started working. :D

Did you recieve my map in e-mail?

(it was kinda large so I was worried you might not recieve it.)

I still encounter the bug where the map when you protect it sometimes won't load. You can tell when the bug is going to occur when you click the map in the singleplayer menu to preview it and the teams don't change.

I have however -- isolated the cause to some extent. If I lock the map and it is bugged, making the .j file exactly 1 line longer makes it work the next time I try to lock the map, which makes me hazard the guess that however your iterating through the lines of the script doesn't like either odd or even line numbers (haven't bothered to check which).

Good news guys. :ggani: I discovered a way to get aroud the large block size + WAVE files. Waves are now compressing about the same as they do with the standard "level 3" blocksize. More info here:

Of course will add the WAV->MP3 thing, but it is not that urgent now. :foot: :foot:

EDIT:
For an exampe, my d2xtalk.mpq (filled with WAVEs) wich is 60.278.192 bytes got about 30% reduction with BlocKLevel=7 and WAVEQuality=LOW :ggani:. The opt-d2xtalk.mpq got only 42.047.812 bytes. This was impossible before, even tough the quality=LOW is also helping in this case

yeah i'm getting a similar problem to dataangel, the game says the map is "unavailable or corrupt" when I try to use ANY configuration to lock my map (and I mean ANY, I've tried all sorts of combinations). I've also been recommending this prog to users on a forum I moderate, and they've all been saying the same thing, their map gets corrupted no matter what they try. I guess I might go back to one of the older versions till you can figure out what the problem is (no complaints here btw, only concerns, you're doing a great service to the community).

this is using v0.2.8 btw (I just downloaded it today).

BD do you provide support for older versions? I'm trying to do a full lock in 0.2.0, but it only seems to delete the triggers, the map is still very much openable in the editor. Is this how the program is supposed to work?

(for those wondering why I'm using 0.2.0, see my post above).

I guess I should ask, if it hasn't already been asked, is Heavy Locker still going to work properly with the new patch out? Will it still work at all? And if not, how long until a compatible one? emote_confused

I´m not always, but for now yes. I´m at my girls home, so Im resting a bit.
Btw, I got my PC with me, so whenever it is possible I´m coding on HL a bit.
I still need to code a lot of things and also make some tests due to the 1.13 patch.
Not dead folks, just getting myself some time. :D

hmm.. weird.. after using this proggy for the longest time i have encounted my first... bug or whatever... even after the patch it worked.. i edited my map a little.. and protect it with ur locker like always.. then when i try to play the protected map it gives me a file corrupt error.. that never ever happened to me.. untill now.. the unprotected version works right. but after i try to protect it.. that happens? WHARTS GOING ONZ!

i think many have encountered this issue in v0.2.8, so we're just waiting until BD gets another version out. Until then, you can go back to an earlier version that you know for sure works.
