Your plot is always going smooth, eh, Lord? Firessa heard the shout from afar. She was in one of the surrounding trees, dangling like a monkey. She swung herself to the next tree and, still like a monkey, she travelled to the clearing. Kar was just below her when she arrived there. She was apparently preparing something. Varall, on the other hand had already charged towards the pandaren. They were wrestling, weapons in hand. Varall had just received a backstab in the abdomen but he was quickly recovering. Siroff sent her a telepatic message. "Help Varall, Firessa! We'll go on with the plan! To the letter. Shinjo doesn't seem to notice me at this time." That was true; Shinjo seemed to be concentrating exclusively on Varall. Even as Siroff moved into a retired corner, he didn't even glance at what he was up to. "Let's try hot cutting air then!" Firessa thought. She climbed up to the top of the tree and prepared herself. She heightened the temperature without burning the tree. She unsheathed her katana and concentrated. Now that she had been refreshed, she could fire an even more powerful arch of fire. Varall saw her, she was sure of that, so she wouldn't have to warn him. She jumped just over Shinjo, swung her katana downwards and landed on top of another tree. Siroff transformed into a spider. He waited for the arch of fire to crash. It didn't take long. After some seconds, it crashed onto Shinjo, lifting dust into a veil. Shinjo had been injured by this, Siroff could see it; he had been cut on his right arm. A heartbeat after the veil dissipated, some ice bolts were fired; it was Kar's spell, using the orb of frost. Some of it struck Shinjo, in the chest and legs, others knocked against the polearm. The pandaren was stunned but even the small time required was not given; almost immediately after Kar's spell came thunder, out of an artificial cloud. That one was a spell from Thenaius. It electrified Shinjo, who seemed to become dizzy. Varall resumed his fighting; he was joined by Firessa and Kar. "Okay! Let's do a quick revision of the plan! I crawl my way into the clothes of Shinjo, climb up to his chest and kill him with a poisoned blade or a spell. Perfect!" Siroff started his way towards the panda. Continue, Marco. As you said, add to the plan as convenient! |

Is Therranor's bunch in Raignaton, now? If so, in case you overlooked this, the governor of the city, a dwarf named Glakthol, is currently assembling around three hundred people (3/10ths of the city's population) to march on the dwarven settlements. This force will leave at noon; it's 11:15 at the moment (roughly). Karl'Vrynn will watch the city while the governor is gone. Forgot to PM Count, maybe I'll do so right now . . . and there we go. Anyways: Shinjo growled as the three warriors paced around him - he realized now that he had underestimated the human's resourcefulness. "It won't happen again," he spoke, startling the three - exactly what he wanted. A quick and precise whirl of the staff sent all three flying into the trees. Shinjo used the moment to seek out the human - only to barely avoid a barrage of whistling rockets. "You!" he snarled at Gazz, and leapt. Only Gazz was not there anymore - Thenaius released his illusion, and the pandaren warrior landed hard in a pool of magically conjured quicksand. I was told they had only just met! How are they cooperating so easily? But there was no time for pondering - the pandaren simply used his bulk to stay afloat and drug himself out. Again the half-orc was on top of him - Curse the Red Planet! - followed by the night elf and goblin. This was too much! But now I have to go - maybe Count will come now and finish things! |

Didn't you read that? Well, Karstorm is somewhat near from Ragnatan. Not that near, but not that far. Arching Blades: I'll take that as a compliment. Thanks. No updates today. |

Siroff watched as troubles rose. How would he be able to get onto the panda with all this movement? He fired a spider filament to Shinjo and began pulling himself onto the massive animal. "Careful, Siroff! Varall's axe's coming down for you!" Thenaius was sending telepatic messages of warning. It was a good idea. Siroff only narrowly missed the blade of Varall's sharp axe. He hauled himself a little more, then, sensed heat. He immediately knew who it was. He managed to swing into a pocket on the panda in time to miss a fiery blade. What was he to do now? Meanwhile, Firessa had just swung her katana. She had seen Siroff enter Shinjo's pocket. "Thenaius!" Firessa shouted. He understood. "Listen everybody! Siroff has entered Shinjo's clothes so be easy on that big panda now. It should not be so long before we get rid of him..." The battle continued but the tension lightened. They no longer pressured Shinjo as much. They merely defended themselves. Siroff had to succeed... Continue please.... |

Siroff was on Shinjo. Now he had to sneak, undetected, to a position on the pandaren where he could sink his blade to the greatest effect. Right now, Thenaius envied the shapechanger. He wasn't the one that had to keep Shinjo "busy". And as dull as that pandaren looked, he was far from stupid. In fact, Thenaius could tell by Shinjo's face that the bear-man realized something was up when Firessa, Varall, and Karazai began carefully withdrawing. Curses! "Don't let up!" he shouted, loosing a bolt of acid at the pandaren, "We've almost got him!" The others hesitated. "Thenaius, what are you doing?" Firessa demanded. She nearly got her head taken off for asking. Shinjo grinned, "Fool elf, your wizard realizes that I know your planning something." "And it seems," he added, reaching into his shirt, "that I am keeping my enemies a little too close." He drew out something the size of a cat, but if he hadn't kept his eyes on the warriors around him, he would have noticed it grow into a small, green humanoid. Instead, he set a menacing grin upon the goblin he held by the collar of a shirt. "Gazz, I must admit I severely underestimated your stealth, since I never imagined you would be able to get this close. But honestly, did you really think to kill me with that puny knife of yours?" "Oh, I wasn't planning on killing anybody," a piping voice said. Gazz crept out from behind a tree, pointing at the other goblin. "That's Siroff's job." Suddenly the goblin was growing - and the dagger with it. Before Shinjo could react, he found Siroff's shoulders gripped within his ursine arms - and Siroff's blade stabbed deep into his ursine neck. Shinjo gurgled, his grip tightening on the human, but only for a moment. With a tremendous, wet sigh, the pandaren landed heavily on the ground. "Well," Siroff said, "That didn't go exactly according to plan, but a little improvisation never hurt anyone." He turned around, facing his companions. "Take us back to Raignaton, Thenaius - we've got some undead to slay. Thenaius sighed, muttered something about being out of the frying pan, and cast the spell. By the way, Count answered my PM. He's says he's just been too busy and creatively-worn to post anything, so he's not permanently out of it (always a good thing to hear). |

They appeared at the small inn where the volunteering had taken place. A big crowd was waiting for them there. They were of all kinds: knights, footmen, dwarven riflemen, elven footmen, elven archers, orc grunts, raiders, some bandits, gryphon riders in the air along with some batriders and among all of them, a small group of night elven archers. "Where were you?!" "Why are you late?!" "We've been waiting for you for ???? hours!" Protestations were heard all over the place. They were obviously anxious of getting to the battlefield. Thenaius had to cast a 'calm' spell on them, a reduced version of sleep, to have silence so that Siroff could talk. "Sorry for being late, guys! We've been..." Firessa no longer listened to Siroff. Naya sneaked from behind her. “What are you doing here? Firessa asked. “I just thought I should inform you of another message from the priestess. “What is it? “Our reinforcements will be arriving by tomorrow. It will be a group of druids and huntresses. The priestess said it would be about thirty units. That's quite something… “Okay. That's three days to the frostwyrm's nest and five days to the dwarven city if there is no interruption. You send twenty with the main force going to the city. “But I want to come with you to destroy that white dragon! Firessa smiled at her enthusiasm of killing the greatest of the undead units, “You can always send an owl, Naya! Those are our advantages! “Ten will come with us then? “Technically, yes, but Siroff might need some somewhere else. If indeed ten comes with us, I'd prefer druids of the claw. They're better melee fighters than other druids. “I wish we could send in more units… Naya looked at the small dot of purple skin in the crowd of white and green. “Ah, always remember that reinforcements in small numbers but with speed can be better than a big slow-marching army. There are advantages there too. “Lecturing your Captain, Firessa? Kar had just come up behind Naya. The latter jumped in surprise. “Yep! And here another one, Naya, you should never be so surprised. And even if you are, you should recover quickly. “Yeah, I've had enough of this at the Hunter's Hall. I'm gone to send my message. Bye Lieutenant! Naya hurried off, through the crowds to a peaceful part of town, near trees actually. “Your Captain seems really cool about that battle, Kar said, grinning. “She is stressed. Trust me. All these undead subjects seem to make her afraid as well as enthusiasm to fight them. She, in a sense, reminds me of myself… some years ago, Firessa smiled sadly, “If she makes it through this great battle, I'm sure she can be as good as me… if not better. “Siroff's about to tell everyone about the plan. You wanna listen? “Not really. Firessa strolled away. Where are you going? It was Thenaius, connected in telepathic communication. None of your business! “I just thought we should know in case we have to go while you're away, girl. “I'm going to the trees over there, near my Captain. “Okay. “Oh, by the way, I haven't finished my argument with you! Firessa threw him a quick glance. “Oh, not again! You stop it, Firessa! Siroff had been speaking then. “I forgot to tell you Siroff was listening too! Thenaius said in a half mocking tone. With that, he cut the telepathy. Firessa felt stupid. She had once more forgotten about Siroff's psychic powers. ‘I think I should stop trying to argue with that mage.' |

Just two things, there are pieces where it is not very clear in your short composition like who is talking. And you should also put the Is and 's so that it is easier to understand. Other than those, you should be quite a good writer unless you don't post enough to keep up with the story or you don't get your grammar corrected. However, mistakes like 'De' instead of 'The' is allowed in conversations. That would show the person is talking like Hagrid ^_^ . Is all that okay with you? |

Well, I didn't post much updates, but I'll just say they stayed at the city all night, searching for information about the mage. |

Sorry about the delay - had to go to enrollment for K-State, and yesterday the server seemed to be down. Let's see if I can whip something up. Even after the earlier rallies, Thenaius had trouble coming to grip with the sheer variety of "his" legions. Orcs, humans, night elves, high elves, dwarves, tauren, and a few others too miscellaneous to even bunch together, all under one banner. It seemed a little incredible, no matter how one looked at it - especially when you considered that some of these troops were trained and assigned representatives of their people. "I can't believe it," he repeated to the fifth time to Glakthol. "Well, then, don't," the dwarf replied, "Just because they all happen to face the same foe doesn't mean that the enemy of our enemy will be our friend when this is all over. I don't know how you got caught in such a difficult mantle of leadership, but know that every step this army takes will be an uphill battle for you just to keep it together." Thenaius groaned. The only other person here he was actually acquainted with was Karazai, and she had become very secluded since Kol's death. Siroff, Firessa, and Varall had all went off on their various tasks, and lately Glakthol and Gazz had spent so much time comparing technological notes - I guess craftsmen really are tight-knit - and Thenaius was lucky to have this little time with the dwarf. Time which he desperately needed; although he had commanded squads of soldiers during the Reign of Chaos, Thenaius had never dealt with anything of this magnitude. The sheer numbers, though relatively small for an army, set the wizard back with the mere number of aspects that had to be covered - supply wagons, prepared planning, rank and formation. Not to mention the assigning of captains and lieutenants - for every person Thenaius picked, two score rose their voices in protest. Not to mention the simple matter that Thenaius was a wizard - that alone sent half the camp against him. Siroff had been charismatic, seemingly honest, and, at the bottom line, a solid fighter anyone could respect. Sorcery, however, brought mixed emotions in every camp. Among the tauren and night elves especially, Thenaius felt a growing distrust from the soldiers around him, and surprisingly little sympathy even from those of his own profession. Sighing, Thenaius dismissed Glakthol and returned to his tent - to discover Naya waiting for him. Here we go now . . . "I beg your pardon, sir mage, for intruding." She sounded more like she was sorry she had to be there - she stood rigid, as far away from anything in the tent as possible, and stared at him like a fel hound had wandered into the room. "I must protest where you have positioned my warriors." Thenaius sighed. "I'm sorry, Naya, but you're one of the only ones that can relate to the dryads. They and the druids must stay in the back and act as support casters, and somebody has to make nothing puts an arrow in their back." "Have you ever seen a druid in combat?" Naya asked dryly. "No, I haven't," Thenaius lied, "and until I do, I'll play them like any other spellcaster." Naya snorted - Thenaius really didn't want to know why. "Trust me, huntress, you will have your glory in combat." "You think I want only to fight, mage? We are only here to ensure our people do not become the next targets of those abominations!" "Do you mean the undead in general, or the abominations in particular? Because if it was the last one, I could try-" Naya stormed out, furious. Thenaius didn't understand night elves; Firessa made him feel stronger, safer, and there had been no conflict between the two before that incident with Shinjo, despite their differences. Talking with Naya, however, was like chewing draketongue - it left him unable to think clearly for at least a few minutes. "You performed remarkably well there, Thenaius. The way she was acting, I probably would have just stuck her head in the horsetrough for a few minutes." Thenaius turned around, surprised - no one had seen the ranger come in, yet standing there he was. Thenaius grinned. "Methias Tuskrender, by the Light! I thought you'd finally overcome your xenophobia!" "I'm afraid therapy didn't work - the healer says I've got three years." Now it was Methias' turn to smile, trying his best not to laugh at his own joke. "I have gotten over my problems with other races, however." Thenaius patted his old friend on the back. "What have you been up to? I thought you were still up north, driving the undead out of your homeland and living up to the family name!" "I have been." Now, the ranger proudly displayed his bow, which was inlaid with the dismembered tusks of a dozen trolls. "But then I was asked to go tracking a friendlier prey, and found you here leading the next big crusade on the undead! Quite the turnaround for you - I like the change." "Let's say the change isn't complete yet," Thenaius replied, reaching into his sleeping bag for a very special canteen he'd smuggled past Siroff. Sipping it lightly, he mulled things over in his mind. This was a good opportunity. "Say, Methias, how old are you again." "Don't remind me - I'm turning 179 next spring. A couple more decades, and I'll be over the hill!" "Would you know anything of a Kol'Aronos, or perhaps Karazai." The ranger paused. "They sound familiar, though I don't recall exactly who. I think 'Aronos is a royal name, and the woman you're traveling with right now bears a striking resemblance to the first Karazai, at least from the pictures I've seen." "She should - she and another elf were claiming to be the pair." Silent covered the room for a moment, before Methias spoke up. "Are you sure they are speaking the truth?" "Were speaking the truth - at least for Kol. He -- died, saving my life. In any event, according to my spells, Karazai is speaking the truth - or at least the truth as she sees it." Methias frowned, "Maybe I'll go talk to her." He leaves, making no noise whatsoever, even casually. "Yeah," Thenaius said to himself, "and maybe I'll spend my time trying to keep this army together." The sudden noise of combat brought a sudden halt to his torment. He managed to make out one muffled cry - "Centaurs!!" On second thought, maybe I'll just cuss the entire dwarven royal family to shame. By the way, this is two days after the last post. |

Valeu'kraz was walking alongside a small river. Seeing the beautiful fish swimming upstream, jumping and splashing. He always enjoyed country walks. It made him remember his old master. He who learned him how to fight and how to live. They always took places like this to practice. And it was alongside a river when he first won a battle against his long dead master. His master was an intelligent orc. one of the swordmaster clan. his master had left the clan because of demonic corruption and so the clan only concentrated on swordfighting. while he concentrated on axefighting. Now Kraz is the only left that knows the art of the axe. He sat on the ground and unpacked his backpack. he looked in it and cursed "That darn dwarf, may he burn in hell" then he laughed. with a big smile he opened it and drank some. "ill let him pay for this" he said to himself in a funny tone. he jumped up when he heard a loud noise of a human screaming orders. quickly packing his stuff he ran to the nearest tree. from behind the tree he looked for the human. but he only saw a large group of centaurs. "Centaurs... the unholy bastards... filthy magic crossings" se whispered angry. Then he saw the centaurs attacking a mage. the mage was certainly surprised. it seemed that the mage had an strange army behind him. he spotted orcs, humans, elfs, night elfs and… god even "Taurens and trolls" Valeu'kraz gasped. then he ran to the mage. he shouted "I'm here to help" right in the mages his ear. The mage was totally shocked, he didn't hear kraz approaching and the loudness of the shout was deafening. Running at the centaurs valeu'kraz took his axe in his right hand and his spear in the other. He jumped and let his axe fly to the head of the left centaur of the group. The centaur was decapitated. he planted his spear in the guts of the second centaur. still with the spear in his hand he jumped and went horizontal, kicked the third with the back of his iron shoos and still going horizontal he got his axe back and decapitated an other centaur. The army finally got up to the centaurs and the fight was going strong hope this is a bit better then the last stuff i did. lol hope so. |

OOC:Yeah, it is better but still that part: Quote:
Firessa and Varall were already leading their small squad into the forest, towards the dragon's den. Firessa had some of her kin, mainly huntresses, in her commandship. The team was composed of four huntresses, six grunts and footmen, two priests, sorceresses and druids and finally, three shamans. 'With this,' Firessa thought, 'It should be well enough to kill that frost wyrm.' Suddenly, cries were heard at a distance. 'Centaurs, surely,' thought Firessa, wondering how close to the truth she was. Varall wasted no time. He hurried to the edge of the forest, which was on a highland that overlooked Thenaius's camp. Firessa shrugged and followed. They couldn't do much at this distance. |

No real objections here - we've got enough people MIA anyway that a new addition couldn't hurt. LEGAL NOTE: To preserve what little reputation Marco has, MIA is not forum slang - it is army connotation. Anyways: It took decades of training and concentration to keep Thenaius from loosing his frost nova on the newcomer. He rolled his eyes as the human hacked his way into the stunned group of centaurs - given the xenophobic tendencies of the four-legged race, the only way you could fight on their side was as a thrall. Honestly, does no one read anymore? Looking back, he saw Naya and her huntresses closing in at full speed - at the centaurs. "No!" he cried, waving her down, and then pointed as the bodies around him. Nodding her understanding, she called her pack into order, and huntresses quickly moved to recover the wounded sentries that had fallen to the horse-men. Nodding in satisfaction - and a little surprised the night elf hadn't issued any backtalk - Thenaius returned his attention to this new warrior, who was now falling victim to the favored tactic of the centaurs - a series of ride-by attacks that left little room for counters. Grinning, Thenaius muttered an incantation. On the next sweep, there was suddenly no human visible. The centaurs milled around in confusion - except for one, who quickly cut down three or four before the illusion dropped, revealing the human right in their midst. Confused, frightened, and leaderless (their great khan had been the first to fall - a stray arrow from a sentry had caught its throat) the centaurs fell back, retreating at full gallop as the rest of the army, roused and ready for combat, rained down on them. Thenaius breathed a sigh of relief. Now, let's go see if Methias has learned anything. The newcomer had completely slipped his mind. |

Hacking his way to the centaur leader, a strong and stupid looking Kahn, kraz felt something was wrong. the centaur leader wasn't so stupid as kraz thought, the Kahn ordered the centaurs to concentrate on the human only. and changed offensive tactics to defensive. and trapped the hacking human. running in circles the centaurs tried to hit the human who had unleashed his shield and held it in his right arm. kraz looked at the formation the centaurs had taken. astonished by there recovering he looked for a way out of the trap. strangely enough the centaurs where completely confused and seemed not to notice kraz anymore. "that's it, the mage has altered my looks in some way" kraz thought. with a smile on his face he hacked 3 or 4 centaurs down. when he got to the Kahn he seemed dead already and the centaurs where fleeing the battle field. kraz pulled his spear out of a centaurs guts and took the jewelry from the Kahn. looking at the ring he found kraz walked up to the army of races. Thinking about who on earth could lead such an army. "could only be 3 things a half-breed with leading skills, a mindcontrolling mage or a mutual agreement of some kind" he walked into the camp hoping it was the first. |
