good idea, but alot of the spells seem strikingly similar to the old spells of the smae unit. Especially the ones for the archmage. Blink is taken from the frozen throne expansion and teleport is a weaker form of mass teleport. that rain of fire thing or whatever it is is a fire version of blizzard. the emissary is pretty much the same as water elemental. That is the most repetitious one, but the paladin is pretty repetitious too. So is the tauren, and the blademaster as well. To your idea, i say thumbs up, but to your spell designing, i say you need to rethink it.

hey are some of those from the game we had way baq when??? because i remeber the frost nova thing. it looked so sweet and also for the lightning cloud thing i remeber using it and it looked to weak because the lightning bolts are really thing and look like they dont do crap and theres also no sound effects os if you enance it withtriggers and ad a alot more lightning blots like have them randomly generat in the area the spell is used then it would look cooler and if you really wanna spice it up model edit the lightning bolts and make them beefer. just my suggestion...

Ok, so far this is looking neat, but for God's sake don't give the Far Seer "Summon Demon"!

Let me put this as bluntly as possible: Thanks to Thrall, and the other Farseers, the Orcs are free of Demon corruption. I seriously doubt that the patrons of independance would willingly damn themselves again.

Give the summon Demon ability to the Dread Lord or something.

Also, the Paladin does nothing but heal himself with 2 abilities, and then heals mana with his other move which means that he is now the ultimate mass Sorc/Preist buddy. His Ultimate, also, sounds way too powerful with no limit. Imagine this: Human player masses 30 Sorcs and 10 Preists. PolyMorph, Heal, and focus firing annihilates most of the enemies. When they run low on mana, the Paly recharges them all. When all of them are dead, he instantly revives them all. There is no real counter to this, since the paly would heal himself if targetted and with mass slow the enemy couldn't move fast enough to do any real damage.

I would replace the mana heal with a life heal move, and then I would replace 1 of the 2 self heal moves with an attack, possibly an AoE "Wrath of God" attack like Blizzard. His Ultimate, then, could be "Damn You" which is a heavy damage single target attack, like Storm Bolt.

For the ArchMage, Blink sounds quite useless, esspecially compared to Teleport. Just drop Blink and make teleport a normal move, and replace his Ultimate with some major show of magical power, like Death and Decay, only obviously changed.

For a MK spell, you could give him the ability to set mines.

For the BM, you could let him buff himself with extra damage for a short time.

For the TC, you could give him a Bash or Critical strike style passive for his ultimate.

For the Farseer, you should give Summon Demon and Flaming Doom to other units (He's the lightning hero afterall...). I'd give him the PotM's Lightning Cloud move. I'd also make him have a Thunderclap move, only targeted from a distance like Frost Nova. Lastly, Thunderstorm from Diablo II would be fun.

For the Lich, give him Blizzard. No need to change it at all, just let him have it as is. You could also give him an Un-Holy Freeze aura (reversed Endurance) which slows everyone in range. Also, a Passive that has a chance to stun/freeze target similar to bash with different art could be nice.

For the Demon Hunter, give him the Flaming Doom move, it's much more his style. I'd also give him a multi-target Fireball move.

For the KotG, give him a move that can turn a critter into a brutal beast! Personally, I think the KotG has the most appropriate move set of all of the Blizzard made guys actually, since it's very hard to think of moves better than his originals.

For the PotM, give her Twilight (turns day into night). You can also give her volley, which would be a Blizzard-style AoE attack with lots of arrows falling from the sky. Also, since she loves full moons, have her be able to summon a Werewolf lol.

Damn. That's alot of ideas!

I value your opinions. Firstly, I'm just working on spells, replacing them as i go along, when I am complete, they will be asorted into their propper heroes.

The archmage is doing quite well, no need to drop blink, because its getting a face lift. Now the ranges are: Medium Area, Large Area, Huge Area.

The huge area will allow him to jump over water and stuff. Teleport only works on what you can see.

I cant make the offencive aura, as it is hardcoded.


Volley can be done, but twilight cant. They removed the data for it, and there is no current spell to change the time of day. This is going to be straight melee, so no triggers eather. Sorry.

The revive is accually like the Item Revive. Bringing all units in a small area back to full health, but not reviving them from the dead.
