Heh I'm getting to almost abuse my Moderater status on you Chickenfight lol. I told you why I had to remove the attachment, it was breaking the rules on the contest. I also choose not to veiw your map yet or say anything about it, because ti would give you an unfair advantage over your peers. Sorry about that but it's the truth. Since you have so much extra time, add more to your map. No offense, but I usually dub the first guy done to be the last place work if you get my drift lol. -Insaniteus- |

Guest | It's not the whole thing, it's like half, and please instead of molesting my posts, try to tell me and maybe i'll delete it myself? |

Guest | Cool, that gives me a bit more time... :P Question: When you make cinematics, do you make a trigger with all the Camera objects first? Then add movement? Or do you put both at the same time? Im trying to figure out an efficient way to do this... I personally do a bit of both. Anymore uber tips or cinematics for dummies pls? :ggani: Sewtwo <------- Dummyemote_confused |

i am also a dummy, but when i make a cinematic i just make the cameras and stuff as i go along. i dont really do any layout first, i figger out the general plot and do whatever comes to mind. Ship crashes! OOOOOOHHH I wANT TROLLS(hint at my cinematic!) then i just create a camera and make a scene, and create cameras as required. one thing that i learned is to always name your cameras, so u dont do this: "Hey, is Camera 003 the one that looks at the guy scratching his butt? Or is it Camera 005?" |

Guest | Lol :ggani: Yeah, i had that camera problem at the beginning but now i name each of em :ggani: Im trying to decide whether i should set a template on everything first and then just debug the whole thing. Or debug as i go along.... BLAH. ://// Sewtwo I always have problems concentrating on debugging cause i always just wanna keep going with the cinies, but then it turns up crappy... lol. *WANTED: MORE UBER TIPS* |

every time i finish a few seconds i test and have a notepad to write down ANY bugs/typos i see. this way i fix it as i go along. if u dont write down problems and go too far u forget the problems as u get engrossed in the cinematic and dont fix them, and it comes out crappy. |

I personally prefer to create my landscape, then I create the cameras as I am making up the cinematic's triggers. This way i simply add the cam i want, select it in the triggers and I don,t waste my time giving each a name ;) |
| 04-02-2003, 02:18 AM | #28 |
i usually go back into my cinematic after its done to watch it for errors a few times so i want the cameras named. |

I usually create the cameras at the exact time I want to use it in my triggers lol. I name the damn things really quickly, and the triggers and variables all something distinct, because I have a TERRIBLE memory. PS: I just made 2 entries into the Cinematics for Dummies thread lol. DK needs to do one .-Insaniteus- |

Guest | I usually just make the cams for one scene, with names like: s1: attack, s1: headshot, etc. |
