looking good :D the reason I think this will be better is you're not just using the existing Elven units (or won't be eventually) BTW if you need any beta testers for the maps with TFT units I could test them as I have the TFT beta so I already technically have the graphics so it wouldn't be stealing :ggani: just offering

Well, I personally belive, that the main advantage this Campaign will have is non-linear story, meaning that the player will decide wich allies he will have and who his enemy will be. I've tried to take as much advantage of this as possible and right now it's your choice if taking Silvermoon will be piece a cake... The new units are only here to support the story, nothing else. And the new maps are only here to support the story. And even the new spells are here only to support the story. Anyway, any beta testing will be greatly appreciated (both of you guys :)), but only after all the missions are made (I can't do much else as I still have to modify various missions (even mission 1 lately received some minor modifications, like those spell changes).

Here's another male archer skin I'm working on (thanks to Bob the Tomato for supplying the model). This fella only has a new face (the hair, as well as clothing are temporary only) and will be a Woodland archer (possibly having Camouflage ability like Thalion's Rangers). On the right you can see Silvermoon Sentinel (seen several times before) and in the back there is a Blood Elf Spellbreaker.

Oh, and, in case you are wondering, this is the 8th or 9th (depending on the path you choose) map of the campaign, "The Ruins of Silvermoon".

Looks pretty good so far...

This face was a joke... It's actually a face of John Sheridan from Babylon 5 (Bruce Boxleitner's his real name). I was testing the game's capability to contain real-life faces. My desire is to replicate Legolas from LOTR movies (and use him as Woodland High Elf Bowman). If I succeed, that will make one LOTR caracter less to make for everybody out there putting together all those LOTR scenarios. Plus, it'll make the campaign a bit more interesting with more units, spells,...

Btw.: This is the High Elven Cavalry that I'll try making:

Ah... borrowing a bit from Games workshop are we hehe If you manage to pull of this unit i would really be astunded! The level of detail is immense!

OTherwise really neat looking and it's nice for once seeing a campaign posting that's already begun doing something... Hehe :)

(BTW, isn't it tyrion? You could check the official GW site for a view of the model itself, not nearly as complicated but nice nonetheless)

If I'm able to pull this unit through, I'll be astunded :)

Now, I need someone to do some work for me. What I need is a captain's helmet (or better, his head with helmet) on knight's body. But this is not the tricky part. The tricky part is that the helmet must be part of the model, not Sfx attachment and that the resulting model must use a different texture(s) than the original two models. I can do some minor model modifications myself, I can do skins, but this is a bit too much for my skills. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I've added a second male archer into the game, who now looks much like Legolas from Lotr movies. It'll be a Woodland High Elf archer (name is still to be found, current candidate is Woodland Guard), probably with camouflage ability like Thalion's Rangers. Unfortunately I had to go on a travel and I ran out of time to post a picture before I left. You can await it within a couple of days, though (tomorrow, if all goes well).

I may give it a go so I take it what you mean is combining the Captain's helmet so it's in one model with the knight? Oh and here is an example for my previous GEOSet combination (still got a bug to work out but I should be able to do it)
Thing is I've been wanting to make a unit like this for ages.
BTW a more recent version of this example pic I'm showing will be in Nature's Calle: Return of the Dragon so watch out for it :D

Right. See, the thing is, I need a horse mounted Elf. Now the Knight would be an excellent model to start the work on. However, it has no pointy ears. Thus what I thought of is take captain's winged helmet and attach it to the knight. The problem is, if the helmet were sfx attachment, some missions could get really laggy on slower computers, since I'm using a lot of sfx in new spells too. If you could do the model, I'd really be thankfull. You know, credits n' all :)

Anyway, here's current list of units for each side:

High Elf common (all high elf groups have those):

- Worker
- High Elf Swordman
- High Elf Archer
- Priest
- Sorceress
- Ballista
- Dragonhawk (two versions, one is for Blood Elves, the other for High Elves)

Buildings:

- Town Hall
- Keep
- Castle
- High Elf Barracks
- High Elf Blacksmith
- High Elf Lumbermill
- Arcane Sanctum
- Arcane Vault
- Guard Tower
- Earth Fury Tower
- Air Fury Tower
- Altar of Kings
- High Elf Farm
- Gryphon Aviary (still looking for possible replacement)
- Training Hall (will allow building of advanced units, still looking for model)

Thalion Silvershield Special:

- Thalion's Ranger
- Nature Conjurer
- Thalion Silvershield (hero)
- Gareth the Wanderer (hero)
- Altariel Goldleaf (hero)

Buildings:

- Circle of Summoning (not sure yet, would allow research on summoned units, wich one of Thalion's units would be able to summon)

Elite Ranger Corps Special (this is not as much a side as a representation of those Elves that stand in between High Elves and Blood Elves or light and dark and can go either way depending on your actions):

- Brethil Firestar (possibly several forms of her, depending on the path she takes, you know like bad ranger/good ranger thingy)
- Dark Ranger (this is a mercenary, that can be bought by both good and evil)

Blood Elf Special:

- Spellbreaker
- Blood Mage (hero)
- Phoenix

Woodland High Elves Special (these are the Elves living in the southern Quel'Thalas areas, namely around Darrowmere lake):

- Woodland Guard (male archer, Legolas)
- Enchantress (something like a sorceress, spells are still in work)
- Elder Druid (not very likely, since High Elves don't have druids)
- Woodland Dryad (something like a woman priest, but with different spells)
- Shapeshifter (or some similar name, will be able to change form, most likely bird, bear and wolf, each with its own abilities (bear= slow & powerful, bird is fast & weak & flying, wolf = fast & ground & stealthy), will have no other spells).

Buildings:

- Woodland Barracks (would allow building of advanced Woodland units)
- High Elven Shipyard (would allow building of High Elven ships, not sure yet...)

Silvermoon Special (later this will be part of Blood Elf army and could also become part of Thalion's army, depending on your actions):

- Silvermoon Sentinel (male archer, a bit more powerful than standard Archer, with better armor, will probably have Cold Arrows)
- Silvermoon Council Member (hero)

Forest Trolls:

- Forest Troll Miner (worker unit)
- Forest Troll Axeman (light melee unit)
- Forest Troll Axethrower (light ranged unit)
- Forest Troll Trapper (ranged unit with ensnare)
- Forest Troll Batrider (I intend to make this one Forest green as soon as TFT comes out)
- Forest Troll High Priest
- Forest Troll Shadow Priest
- Forest Troll Berserker (will either be upgrade of normal Axethrower or a standalone unit)
- Forest Troll Warlord (hero)
- possible Siege weapon (name not know yet, will be a catapult, ballista, or something else)
- possible other additions...

Buildings:

- Family Hall (Town hall equivalent, a larger of both existing Forest Troll Huts will be used)
- Clan Hall (Keep equivalent, a larger of both existing Forest Troll Huts will be used, possibly modified to make it look more advanced)
- War Hall (Castle equivalent, a larger of both existing Forest Troll Huts will be used, possibly modified to make it look more advanced)
- Training Log (barracks, a smaller of both Forest Troll Huts will be used)
- Troll Mill (Lumber mill equivalent, still looking for model, will probably be a combination of log with some sord of saw on the side...)
- Sacred Log (Arcane Sanctum or Spirit lodge equivalent, no model available yet, I'm currently using Ashenvale angled log)
- Troll Burrow (it looks just like Orc burrow, but will require no peons to fire. Will function similarily to Watch Tower or Guard Tower)
- Food Storage (Troll equivalent of Farm)
- Altar of Leaders (name is not locked yet, basically Altar of Kings)
- Beasthouse (second barracks (like Workshop), will enable builidng of advanced units like Batrider, no model yet)
- Foundry (blacksmith equivalent, no model yet)

Human Alliance:

- all standard human units, except Priest and Sorceress who will both be humans and a few units will be added or changed to represent Stromgarde (Lordaeron is in undead hands, thus the Elves will mostly communicate with Stromgarde, plus the first two missions happen to the south of Quel'Thalas (also expect Stromgarde not to have access to Blood Elf units, but I intend to compensate for that...).

Undead Scourge:

- standard undead units, they will also get a few new units like the Vampire (sleeps at day, is very, very active at night, each strike replenishes his own health. Will probably get an upgrade that will make him invisible during movement :) I might add those as early as the second mission :D)

Most of new units have new abilities and spells (for instance Thalion's rangers will get camouflage wich will enable them to become invisible for a short amount of time, all Woodland High Elf units and Thalion's Rangers will also get Woodland Stride upgrade wich will cut their pathing size to half (enabling them to walk through dense forests, wich will come in handy in several missions). Then there is the Wild Growth upgrade wich will give Lumber mills the ability to regenerate trees near them, the Stream of Life (possibly, since one of you guys mentioned that you don't like current Altariel's healing system, it would be a ray of light that would strike from the sky and splash on the ground, healing units in certain range, but I'd need to find a good spell animation to do that), Voice of Woods (would call 1-3 Woodspirits to help you in your battle), Exorcism (damages undead), Summon Rock Golem, Firetrap, possibly I'll add magical harvest, wich wil allow you to use another, magical way of harvesting gold and/or lumber and of course there is Face of Anor spell wich I'm particularly proud of. This one will change Thalion Silvershield into a celestial being, enabling him to use several new spell for half a minute. And there will be several new spells and upgrades for Trolls, of course.

Don't worry I wasn't dreaming of using attachments. I was meaning MDL editing to attach the helmet not well, attachments :P

hmm looking at the pic the Death Knight could be a better original model I mean I can remove the Hero Glow stuff. The reason I'm thinking this is cause the Deathknight already has a cape etc... Ah well I'll try both (this is great for my praticing with MDL editing :D )

BTW where DID you get that pic from?

hmm modified Furbolg huts could be useful for Trolls too cause they're based off logs

That pic? I don't know, google I guess. But I think it's a drawn version of Warhammer Dragon Prince model from Games Workshop.

As for the Death Knight: Well, he has a sword and no shield. Now I know knight has no shield either, but his both arms are still full (he has a spear in one of them...), while Arthas, sorry, Death Knight looks... well, weak. You are right about the cape, though. To tell you the truth, I didn't really think about that :) Anyway, do as you please and I'll decide wich one (or both) models are allowed to get in :)

I had a go at a Troll Town hall... I'm going to make the vertical log the same colour as the huts as well. Anyway hope you like it. BTW I'm confused is someone else doing the Elven cavalry now?:bgrun:

Nice model, just needs a new skin.

This project looks very promising!

Wow, nice model... Now I can actually use Troll Hut1 for something else :D

Anyway, about the cavalry: You said you'll make both knight and Death Knight. But as I was checking the model (as much as I can here, without the game actually active), I was thinking about it and I think you're right, the Death Knight would make a better model. It's just that he'll have to receive some kind of shield or something. If I remember right, he doesn't really use his right hand (the sword is in the left one and the spells are also done with the left one, lifting the sword).

Well, I did some final concept work on new units, as I added another High Elven Fraction (Woodland High Elves from Darrowmere) and this are the current spells:

Nature Conjurer:
- Earth Elemental
- Air Elemental
- Water Elemental
- Fire Elemental

(Each elemental has his own advantages and disadvantages, while each conjurer can only control one elemental at a time. I should also note that Conjurer has a very high food requirement (5) and long train time, wich will greatly limit the possibility for Elemental attack only).

Enchantress:
- Enchant Weapon - autocast if possible (target unit can do extra damage for a limited amount of time. Kind of temporal critical strike, but with only 20% increase in strength)
- Obscuring mist (creates a fog that greatly reduces sight of units within it - Useful against night elves at night)
- Enchantress's Presence - passive (units in range 225 from the Enchantress cannot be possessed or charmed).
- Woodland stride upgrade (reduces pathing size wich allows Enchantress to move through dense woods)

Elder Druid - hero (name should be changed, possibly Elder Mage?):

- Natural Potion (similar to Darky's Alchemy, this is a spell that allows creation of potions for certain amount of mana)
- Entangling Roots (could be changed)
- Thorns Aura (could be changed)
- Voice of Woods - Ultimate (summons a wood spirit to aid you in battle)

Woodland Dryad (scout unit)
-Woodland Stride upgrade
- Dancing Lights (works similarly to Huntress's Sentinel, but is only temporary, 60s or so).

I intend to add a mission or two to show the first faze of Troll attacks in the south and bring Woodland Elves into the story. This will require a bit of story twisting (and a total reworking of the last mission), but I'm on it and already have some good ideas...

so should I send you the Trroll hall once I've done a few things (added Team colour, probably on the vertical log) reskinned it so everything matches, fix a bug in the MDL? Or is there anything else you'd like me to add?
EDIT: Oooh maybe I should add some skulls and stuff piled outside or maybe that could be for the other levels of the town hall :D

Heh just had an idea for a Troll guard tower but I'm not sure if my skills are sufficient to do it yet, essentially it's a vertical log (like the one in the Troll Hall) with a Forest troll with either axes or spear standing on top who throw's his axes/spear at enemies. But as I said I'm not sure if I'm good enough with MDLs to do that yet. Might give it a go though.

Just a question, should I try making other Troll buildings and if so should they all look like they're made out of big logs etc?
