What Blizzard did was STUPID. Apart from making all of the mapmakers go back and redo their triggers and even add some new ones to compensate for the changes, this ought to end up in less TFT sales because they put half of its features into this. I even remember seeing one post by Blizzard saying this was a "thank you." ((Thanks my ***) :nono: |

Secret Human Lvl??? Anyway, I found out that UMSWE no longer works with War3. |

Thats a wonderfully positive attitude to display to all those (myself included) people who want TFT. Thanks. (and I was a beta tester) EDIT: Yes, I agree that they shouldn't have put ALL OF TFT'S FEATURES IN ONE PATCH. Thats plain stupid, why don't they just let us DL the whole thing in one patch??? Now the only thing that's left is the several new units and campaign, no new features! Its like diablo 2's XP set! Lord of Destruction has a bigger stash size, and as far as I'm aware, the classic D2 still has the small stash! What's up there? We get TFT's features in one patch, but d2 doesn't get LoD's features in one patch (there IS more than the stash, mind you...)? Thats kind of strange, don't you think? I think they SHOULD have put the battle.net features in, as it would be lame to see TFT people in clans only. I also like the icon-changing thing, its so much cooler to CHOOSE YOUR ICON rather than just be stuck with one, 'specially when you like playing as all the races. I don't think that they should have put the building shadow/research cue/other features in though, but I do think that the Custom Keys.txt thing needs to stay, THAT IS SO AWESOME! I hated the Frost Nova hotkey, now its nice n' simple... same with Frenzy... possession.... anti-magic-shield... *cough* ... Thanks for listening :p |

its not like it wasnt said this was going to happen i havent been doing any triggers or spell editing because i knew they would become obsolete, and it doesnt matter, u just have to redo some of the stuff, stop making a big deal out of every single little thing |

Hehe you and me both. I haven't done a single trigger for my cinematic yet. Whoever made that post or announcement about doing skins and models for now until TFT came out was damn right. Also as a side note, go into the WE and change the default the sky. They added in the ability to choose the Outlands sky, yet when you try to use it, it says that the model for the sky doesn't exist. One feature I like is the ability to use the cliff tiles from other tilesets when you use a custom tileset in your map. |

Somebody said in another post on the boards here that this problem is easily fixable by just getting the latest version of winmpq that supports the new file format in the new war3mpq. |

Wow, lets just take a step back and have a look at this in perspective, ya? For a moment here I thought I was in the battle.net forums with all the bitching. Do you people actually believe that all this useless cussing at Blizzard will actually change anything? Instead of whinging about the new patch, why don't you look at the benefits that it was actually created for? It was known for over a month that there would be drastic changes to RoC to coincide with the release of FT. ALL the problems that Cookie mentioned are fixable. Spells can still be edited, triggers can still be repaired and potions can still be changed. The patch was for the best, and hopefully after you've all had your hissy fits you'll be able to see that ^_^. Don't get me wrong. I'm affected by this at least as much as the rest of you, but saying things like "OMFG DIE BLIZZARD YOU STUPID ****ERS RARGEE!!" aren't going to help any of us. ~kharma |

now that iv played a lil its ok on the play side but for custom gamers i dunno but seeing as im getting tft (twice :ggani: ) the new mods just show me whats gonna change ( have any of the skins that we've put in gone wrong or are they ok) |

All skins and models will work fine. The blp and mdx formats were changed only for the FT beta. They use the same format as RoC in the retail. ~kharma |
