Note to self: always finish the terrain first or it will lag later...

It took 2 hours just to make the land of kalimdor/barrens cause it took 30 seconds after each time i added more land to it.

But here is an updated full map screenshot:

ACtually, there is one thing I need done (besides eventually needing beta testers) I would like the orc and human computer players to have some sort of AI where they build more units and attack each other.

Things I have done:

*Game master mode which uses a password to enter and uses dialog boxes to create the units and special effects.

*Heroes for the classes and races in World of WarCraft. I plan to add more when blizzard updates their world of warcraft site or if they don't, i'll just use classes that are in other games of this type. The attributes of heroes of a class are different for each race. (Example, taurens have more strength. And humans have a shield bash ability cause they have shields while tauren dont cause they dont have shields.) (Also: Night Elf Hunters summon bears while tauren hunters summon quill beasts and dwarven hunters dont summon anything... they place explosives instead)

*A large map that looks like the world of warcraft world map and has the familiar places such as westfall, dalaran ruins, duskwood, stormwind, capital city ruins, durotar, ice crown, and many more. I personally thing the terrain is good.

*Started the alliance part of the quest.

*creeps spawn every 2 minutes if every creep in a large location (such as an entire forest) are killed. The creeps spawn in random locations to deter people from camping.

*Created custom spell for the custom heroes. While some spells are the same (cause its the same "world") they have more level (5 total levels to be exact)

*Two hero factions that have separate quests they go through the same plot. The hero factions are the Horde and the Alliance

*Created an arena system where you but a ticket to play in the arena. The creeps in the arena will drop random items which are the same level as the level creeps.


What I will do:

*Creeps in the world will drop items such as armor or weapons or useful animal parts.

*will have professions (one of which will use those useful animal parts)

*complete the quests for the two hero factions

*make you able to talk to neutral passive heroes and then be able to fight that hero in the arena (you will be teleported to the arena immediately and the hero will become neutral hostile. The arena will also be cleared of whoever is in it. Depending on the level of the hero, he/she will drop better or worse item when he/she dies.

*anything else I think of or someone suggests.

Oh yeah. There will be mounts (both walking and flying) though the flying ones take more time to "learn"

Alright I have a couple ideas
I think that you should make it so that the hero can only hold one weapon and armor item at a time, like a real RPG where the weapon and armor determine how much damage and armor you have
also I think you should have the characters evolve or just change the skins a little for like every 5 or ten levels(im assuming you will have more than ten levels) to keep things interesting..
also it can get really boring if you only have 4 different skills to choose from for the whole game, so ya\

In case you want to colaborate with me i have some kick *** ideas too concerning the equipment.Also you can send me a copy of the map as it is now to enhance the terraine a bit.I can edit some skins and make some good spells and triggets.Anyway just let me know if you want me in your team (if there is a team) and REALLY GOOD JOB WELL DONE AND KEEP MAPPING:D

Each hero spell has 5 levels to it. There are 5 hero spells per hero (cause you can only have 5 per hero unless you do that hero swaping thing...)

maximum level i set is 100. While i doubt anyone will get that high considering there are no tomes, it basically means that you can never stop getting better.

Good idea with the weapons/armor stuff. I will probably add this feature. The heroes will probably do a low amount of damage without items (this would be from unarmed combat) but weapons will add more damage)

While playing a mech warrior map on bnet (one of the best on bnet so far i think) I thought of an idea. Players would be able to buy unique ships for a large amount of gold and wood so the ship would be able to carry items and 4 units and each unique ship would have a unique ability which I have already thought of for each ship. One ship is a Undead Frigate called the Shade. This ships ability creates mirror images of itself.

I dont think I mentioned this before but there is an ability (using an item you get from a quest) which allows you to swim for 30 seconds at a time. If you run out of time and are still in the water, your unit cannot move until you activate the ability again (which costs mana)

I have also started work on the ground and flying mounts and the quests you go on to be able to mount them.
