If you look at [)ark/-\ngel's pic in the background you can see a cliff.

He lowered the terrain down as far as it can go, and then raised up the section he wanted for the tower.

I can't seem to get this working. Whenever I do the raise tool and then plateau all I come up with is something looking like this or a pyramid. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Here is where the miscdata[1] file is located too C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\UI

Any help on what I am doing wrong would be great. :D

Try using plateau and see if it makes the edges.

Try putting this .txt file in a folder named 'UI' in your wc3 directory...

You have to close WE, and reopen after you add the file, in case you didnt know. Then raise and plateau

It is still giving me slopes on the edges. I take a square raise toll then raise a little bit and get a buble shaped thing. Then I use plataeu and it makes the top flat and the sides sloped. Am I doing something wrong? Also I had closed and reopened a few times before. Do I need to delete that old .txt also?

Well, it should be impossible to have both files named that in your UI directory. You have to be doing something wrong, I'm using it myself at this very moment and it works fine.

Try using a big brush, raising it rly high and then plateau.

Raised it up as far as it could go. But maybee I am not putting the file in the correct spot. Here are some pics of where I downloaded them to.

That looks right. If you can't do it in WE, there's not much else I can do.

Well I guess I will just have to download one of those custom editors then. :bgrun:

Thank you very much for your help Draco. :gsmile:

wow, thank u very much for this trick with that text file, now even us mac users can make high terrain without having to search for a mac version of one of those editors, that is if there even is a mac version.

By the way, I found a little "bug" with this method. When I dl'ed this file I created an "UI" folder myself with the file in it. The high terraining works perfectly that way, BUT when the file is in the UI folder, I can't import custom skins anymore, even if I imported them b4 they just show up as the default skins, even ingame. But this can be fixed by removing the UI folder and its content. I haven't heard anybody else about this, so I presume it's only a bug on Macs.
