Hi im none but the mostly have started like that (i think) I have thinked in many projects.... in many singlecustom levels and only one campaing. And i need some things. The first (i will se wath i do) is a computer that can run the warcraft III in my own house. The other is someone that make models withowt problems.(in fact in this moment i only need some skins of airplanes or x-wings or somthing alike.) The ultimate i dont need it but it can be good accepted. I talking of a mentor that take me as his diciple. To help my on wich progrmas to change the editor, and at least one of you can say me how i get skin in the level? But i didnt need help in triggering. i think that i am good on that and its funny make triggers(and is funny to see people that have problems with them!). Maybe thaey are a little complex but not that much. Oh, i didnt presented my self: I am Sir NaTuz III from the knigths of the Blue Unicorn |

well I mostly need a triggerer, but I need a modeler to do walking dragons for me. But triggerer is more important at the moment :) |

I could need a Trigger. Im good at stories and maps, but to make the booring work....Naaaah!. As for the Voice Acter, i think that is allready answered if you are going to make a real Campaign. You cant possibly make all the voices yourself. Try to make Uther and then Kelthuzad. HAHAHAHAHAHAAH! |

Modeling is very easy once you learn but no matter how good you are at animating, you brains will still pop! so i say... Animators are the most needed.... |

A terrainer. We also need a good triggerer, but terrainer most. We've met some people but they can't do the type we need. |

People most need *common sense* to finish their work. Forget dozens of new skins and models, just make your damn work! :P By the time Desler finishes his campaign for proving that you don't really need anything but WE (Everything else is bells and whistles that aren't essential), though, most may have given up, blaming the 'community' for a lack of 'support'. |

Lil tip: Ok - I understand that some ppl can't make good terrains but it doesn't mean sb will make all of it for you. The terrain and triggers are the base of a map. Make a crappy terrain, make it look like what you want it and if you think you're not that good at terraining then let someone polish it. But not give the whole job to someone else. Terrain and triggers go the same path unlike models, skins, spells and other stuff that can be added on later. It kinda pisses me off when ppl start to make new threads on campaigns and because he didn't find his 8 triggerers, 4 terrainers and 5 uber modellers he let his project die. Let's face it - 1000 ppl together everyone making .001% of the work WON'T finish a damn campaign.://// Either that or it's just me ;) Martinez |

Other = a good team and good voice actors. Voice acting, especially good one and yet even more especially when coupled with good music can produce absolutely stunning effects. It actually makes your campaign feel alive. But above all, a good story is a basis of every campaign. You can be a perfect modeler or a perfect skinner and you may not achieve anything but if you are a good story teller, then people are sure to admire your work. |

Yeah, exactly. If anyone has seen the "Creatures of the night" (it's not really a campaign, it's a cinematic); It has some techincally very well made things, like the sunset scene and other stuff, but the story and the dialogues... aaa, the cliches are eating through my brain!!! :ggani: Still, the technical stuff almost makes it up for the bad story, and it's true, music helps the scenes a lot (altrough the author could have chosen it from some less known movie than LotR). |

I think the best way for a WC3 campaign would be to poke fun and ridicule the cliches, or twist them around to make them seem less predictable (That is the basis for most of WC3, the twisting, which was made by the designers, afterall). If you take the time to do that, then at least the viewer\player *knows* you're aware of it - like how Max Payne was completely over the top film noir, yet it was still believable. I've had ideas for a thief-type character (Bandit or assassin unit) that joins the 'generic party of characters', whose purpose is just to poke fun at events, like if a knight hero has to rescue a damsel in distress then he would make some humorous, sly comment. But the problem with 'younger' and less experienced (I'm avoiding the 'newbie' word there ;)) campaign makers is that they don't take the time to properly create something - most seem to 'borrow' an idea of Blizzard's or some other fantasy universe without thinking it through. |
