Ok I think we have a decent team formed, if you're not sure if you were accepted, you would have gotten an e-mail by now unless your just entered the team. I have some work for our triggerers / Object editors

I want basic unit selection set up:
That means you'll have to make all the races (specified above) into individual selectable units, then they must be brought to a class selection area unless they are an "odd" race (i'll work that out later)

If you finish that set-up the class selection system. The unit steps on the "Laborer Pad" The unit becomes a hero (race as Name and then job as their exp bar name.

then when can set-up job system that will take more time and explantion, when i get time and when this gets done i'll post more.

I have a great new idea for a simpler selection system.
In the beggining there could b a dialog where i choose MALE or FEMALE,
then another after where u choose HUMAN,TARUEN,ect...
its seems very simple but it takes many variables/arrays to make it work 4 seperate people, but i have done similar things before

once OD-Zonr_00 finishes with the object editing of the units i could impliment this into the map very simply, it would only take a few days for me to do it all.

all i need is oxalic's permission and OD-Zonr_00 to finish object-editing and to send me what he has done
(zonr send it to me at [email protected] when u finish makeing the base units, then i will send a new version with that & the food/water triggers)

Sounds good, I'll work on the the playable characters first, then onto the NPCs and items.

However, before I get too far, do you want the player's stats (strength, agil, intel, hp etc.) to be small? Do you want all jobs/classes to have the same stats? (which would make my job very easy :P)

Also, do you all have MSN messenger? It would make coordination alot easier, plus file transfers. :P

DragonHunterVII your system sound great, professional, and effiecient. I don't care what the objects stats are, but make them heroes! So they have inventory and can level, as they level they can choose to do more advanced jobs, when you fnish with this stuff we'll get into the job system ok ?

What do you mean all "50" Odd heroes?

odd as in more or less, not odd heroes as in the race ones. I made a laborer, mechanic, etc. for each of the races.

BTW dragon, I PMd you the map. (it's hosted on ripway)

Instead of changeing the unit for each job why not juts use the (unit - Change name) trigger. We make the unit like
Human male the Level 1 Hobo
and if he gets a job change that, via trigger, to like
Human male the Level 1 (insert job here)
and we keep an interger for each player makeing a # represent a job,
I.E.
hobo=0
laborer=1
Architech=2
Ect.......
and each trigger that changes jobs will change name and the number

im not going to put that in the map at the moment though b/c id rather wait for some other things to be finished to do the job system right now*

*note: i am lazy

Might work, except some jobs have certain abilities. IE: Bum has beg ability, stalker has shadow meld instant.
