What do you think about the NEW Download System now?

Quality control? there is no need for that at all, if you don't like a skin then rate it with something low, and viruses and stuff can't make it because of the scripts.

Actually quality control was what was messing last download section, having to wait till an admin sees your file is dumb

tru it wont be as bad when darky gets da new server but right now i have to cycle through the crap 4 hrs. Why do u always flip out like u made it or something. What i mean by quality control is the crap. Like the sublime and icq icon. Yes u had to waut 4 the admid but there werent recolors in it. I can deal with this but im just mentioning it. I still liked the old simple1, but i have to go with the flow i guess.

Before some of you say "I hate it. It doesn't even remotely look like the old one. Also, I can't open new windows!", hear me out.

There is a compact mode and a detailed mode. How do I switch between the two? Well, look under Display Style. It's a drop down menu.
The compact mode is the default and is the more laggy version (IMO).
The detailed mode is the secondary mode and is the better of the two (IMO) as it can open NEW windows and doesn't take as long to load. Also, it looks exactly like the old one.

Also, you can change the site look by clicking "Switch to WC3C Style" at the top-right.

If you complain about "OMG I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD 1700 ICONS, then just choose 25 or 50 Files per page. How? It's in a Drop down menu under Files/Page.

Heh. Yeah, that rant came mostly off from our "talk" 1-2 days ago.

I really don't like the new one. :< It should be like the older one where it organises it into catagories by its first letter and shows you how many there are. Also if ur gonna change it, add a search box so you can type wat your looking for in and it'll bring you to it. (By doing these seggestions, it might eliminate the lagg the download section causes for members trying to download so they don't have to spend 15 minutes waiting for the pictures to dl.) BUT 15 MINUTES??? o_O THATS JUST CRAZY MAN!!! So please listen to my seggestion and this may prove to work out as a better Download Section.

I actually like the new DL naming system. It's more organized, and I can find what I want faster than the older one...

You obviously never looked more than 2 second to the dl section.
You can make it look EXACTLY like the old one ;-)

Hmm that is only thing I like at new DL system. :\

Seems the popular opinion is divided. Interesting. (Im just going to blindly ignore the 5 or so spam-posts in this section) Eh (eh, ive been saying eh morE oftHen...) this new download system is slower then the last one, thats the main part I dont like. I also dislike the hassle of the two different websites (wc3c and wc3sear.ch).

Ah well, seems there's no stopping it.

I personally think it is way better than the old DL system :D

I GOT A SERIOUS PROBLEM HERE!
when i click on the download link, which should be the new dl section, it appeals:
phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database
in a new page but the same window. Then, i can only go back to wc3 homepage.
Therefore, i've never been 2 the new dl section so far.
ANY IDEAS?

since 2 hours my ISP seems to have problems with the mySQL database. Will be fixed soon i guess

My Problem with it is when you open up any zip file from the download section it comes up empty, maybe if you just didn't put smaller files into zip file. This is only because i dont want to look everywhere for a better zip opener I.E. WinZIP, WinRAR, Etc.
