Guest | you are using a blademaster for your samauri too aren't you? |

Yep, I use the exact same edited models for both. But I think I might make the beard on the samurai even shorter and with the form of a chin, so I can actually make it look like a shaved beard. (Kinda grey out the skin like blizzard did with the bandit's beard) |

Guest | Dh might make a good samuari if you can model his blades into katanas |

You should make a character based on the legendary Guan Yu. A halberd carrying guy who has a very long beard. check here for other cool Orient warriors http://www.kongming.net/dw3/avatars.html |

I'm already using the DH as a monk. He has the best brawler animation in all the WC3 units :) Besides, the DH model has the perfect pants for a samurai. Looks alot like a samurai armor's kusazuri Dmonmonkk: I'll have to see about that :-/ I am already planning on using a Sohei wielding a polearm (naginata) for my campaign, and Sohei don't have beards they have to be clean, and I want to diversify the weapons as much as possible. I might actually remove the kensai's katana and attach an axe because the samurai uses a katana. Thx for the link tho :) I might concider basing some stuff on them. |

Guest | did the japanese even have axes? That seems more like a viking type weapon to me. |

Yes they had battle axes :) |

Guest | i could just picture a tanto wielding peasant cutting down a tree kung fu style. Lol with that off my mind, i finaly did the portrait for my conscript, now to test it. Are you going to use the grunts axe or maybe the tauren chieftans? Id say mountain king, but his looks like a hatchet with a bigger blade, no real handle on his blade |

theres always groms :) why not the chaos grunts axe? its sharp and refined looking blade not a rusty tool like the tc's |

Calzone: I thought of it a long time ago, when I first saw the Sohei picture in my oriental adventures book. It was a woman wielding a naginata and wearing studded armor and she looked just awesome. And anyways, I might give this guy a naginata after all, since the BM's katana is the easiest weapon to edit into one. This was inspired by you Calzone :P |

No offense to your skinning/modeling, but he looks more Middle Eastern then Japanese...try narrowing the eyes and thinning out the lips. How about a character using furi-chains? (is that what they're called?) Sorry if you don't know what they are (I think they're Chinese), I tacked up an old picture I drew with some girl using them. I know it sucks, I was only in 8th grade then :sweatdrop EDIT: That's a sweet Naginata :D |

Trust me making the face look asian is a pain because it is wrapped SOOOOOOOO goddamn weird it's not even funny. Especially his forehead, the eyes, and around and inside the mouth. As for the chains, that'd be near impossible since i'd have to animate them. |
