What did you think about the RotD Campaign?

Got stuck in the maze (wasn't the first of problems, but it was the worst), didn't even bother restarting the level for fear I'd do it all over just to get stuck again (and as we all know, saving and loading is bugged...)
Seriously, was he even LISTENING to the beta testers, or did they just suck?

i dont think Darky is gonna make another version, some of the bugs are just too big. Personally i'd remake the entire thing from scratch is your best bet.

They just wanted to play it first obviously.

Yeah, it's surprising to see how long the beta test lasted , how long everybody had to wait, and all this for a campaign full of bug. Don't misunderstand me, spider queen had a lot of bugs but was very good. Most campaigns have a ton of bugs, aven the best ones (maybe The Last Druid had less than others, if I remember well (haven't played it ? go download it at maps n mods)). RotD is good, even very good, but all the fuss Darky made about the campaign being tested again and again to remove all bugs made us expect too much of his work. It's a very good campaign, but we had all the feeling that it would be perfect, and that's why we are all a little disappointed. So thanks Darky, but next time either release your campaign sooner and with less "tadam" (what's the English word for that?), or release a totaly bug free campaign.

Less hype i think you mean. Theres also the "GOLD" thing he had with the progress, it made everyone thing all the stuff was gonna be kickass. Either Darky is blind or he was bullsh!tting us the entire time.

Ppl believe me it takes a lot more than just one or more beta tests to make a campaign bug-less. The person finalizing it (obviously Darky) has to do a hell of a job bugfixing and final-testing it (and that takes a shi*load of time.
My campaign for example (Bago's Quest) had like this one general beta test and even after fixing all bugs reported I've still found major bugs the 1-5th time I've played the campaign after it.
Campaigns which have started development at RoC and ended at TFT suffered many changes because some triggers started to work differently.
I renember I wanted to release my campaign tons of times but when I always said "one more time just to check out if everything works" I acctually did find new bugs so imagine how RotD with it's 5 major different ways to play the campaign would have to be checked.

OK enough about campaigns that should have worked thousands of times :)

The campaign must be bug-fixed because it's one of the greatest achievements in modding (if not the greatest so far) and it can't go wasted. I would really be happy in seeing the campaign less buggy (not bug free cuz I doubt it's possible with such a big campaign) cuz if I'd ever come back to playing WCIII in the later future I would come back once again to play this campaign too and so would lots of people.

it was a nice demo/beta, when you are releasing the r3al version?

Jester does has a point. It does felt quite like a sort of.. demo/beta.

I might be wrong, but I thought that rather than being ironic Jester was off topic and speaking of Bago's quest to MartinezTG

Then I misunderstood him and I give my apologies for it, but I do stay to the fact that the RotD campaign was like the beta that was released. I recall seeing some of the beta-test-guys talking about some bugs that were never fixed.

It could have been more original, it could of had all 5 aspects help you in some way. You were in caves to much, and in 4 missions your practicallly back to notherend, which i didnt like. Their could of been some stories on the aspects also. And cameras in certain levels just made me mad, before i get pissed, i'll finish with a rating.

You should know that i aint that bad it just has some minor bugs like in the last level they planned a submap but stopped but stil left the Entrance standing and the goblin building don''t have tool tips. but i don''t mind that i think that Darky and his team did a great job despite the Bugs keep up the good work Darky 28 !!

I kinda dont like it
-bugs
-hardcore dificulty level (i like it when games are hard btu nto this hard)

and anyhow i didnt like the spider queen campaign and i think if i would play this to the end then i would also say that i dont like , i dont say that its bad or its SH*T because thats just my opinion and you may like it
I waited a lot more for HeroRPG well but for me its seems also a bit bad
For me a good campaign schould have a awsome story line , and some systems ( i mean new things , nto another RTS) and be bug free of course
well im sure were going to w8 pretty long until well get a very good campaign
all we can do is
sit and wait until some guy will have a great idea (as i did) gathers a team (as i did) and will start making something great (like me)
Well i just hope were going to get lots of great campaigns soon

Storyline was quite good, but i found couple really annoying bugs. First when i was in the sub map where you play with khazaam only. When i died and then loaded, i had 2 khazaams. Secondly also when i loaded, khazaam could do the best potions with the potion making skill, when the potion making skill was at lvl 1.A good campaign, but little too buggy. 3/5
