Yeah, the blood was for them popping outta corpses, and 'cause it looks cool. The models smears the hell outta the blood making it mix with the white bones and a light color is made. I'll fix it. The sword was made crusty, but I'll make it MORE crusty now. -Insaniteus- |

Guest | nice skellies, but the archers head...its like..nearly half the size of the body :bgrun: other than that great |

Now you can't blame me for the head's size! Blizzard made it that way!! All I did was skin them! PS: Yes, there will be cinematics. In fact, there will be an Intro Movie before the first level and several little side movies, alot like what Blizzard did. I also plan on having a few 10-seconds-or-less cinematics whenever you complete an objective (alot like Resident Evil) I think I should point out that I've been recruited (by two seperate people lol) for the UMS Campaign along with Assassin X so THAT Campaign will have some cinematics lol! -Insaniteus- |

That has got to be my favorite reply I have ever gotten lol. As for cramming ownage, wait until I get to the Shaman! I've got some serious shit planned for him, since he will be the leader of the Orcs! Also, if you want to see some of my other skins (Including my best one so far, Majin Buu), go to the "WANTED: DBZ MODELS" thread in the normal Model and Skins forum. -Insaniteus- |

Guest | Wow your campaign map is really getting off to an awesome start. Can't wait to play your campaign man. Skins are freaking nice. Your Kaldornyo skin looks pretty cool but since you're having pencil god do one then maybe you can make your current one some kind of secret bonus unit in the campaign? Or instead of keeping it as a hero make it into a Vampire unit so the final Kaldornyo will have his own custom followers. Just a suggestion. Please make more skins for DBZ when you're done with your campaign. I beg of you!! |

I planned on Kalandornyo having plenty of Vampires working for him (many not even humanoid like Mosquetoes lol). I haven't put alot of thought into what all I will do for his minions, but they will DEFINATLY not look anything like him. He is the type of person that wants the world to know that he is the most powerful being ever, and he only uses his vampire slaves whenever he's too busy to do it himself. Also, Kalandornyo's hair is made of several mystic magics that were banned from our multiverse by the gods because they were too powerful. I was going to use Pencil's Medivh Vampire as one of his minions. I'm not sure yet whether or not I will have more than one type of vampire, and since Kalandornyo isn't even in the first map I haven't really thought much on it. I'm seriously considering making Nekrix's Skeletons have only 6 elemental enchantments instead of 8. I may replace Earth Skeletons with Golems of some type, and I'm thinking of getting rid of the Holy Skeletons. Even if the Paladin makes holy undead, I really don't think Nekrix should. I will have to give another mastery a healing ability. Oh yeah, I was wondering: Should I release this campaign one map at a time, or all on one big package? Since I am working on College, my Campaign, and the UMS Campaign I don't expect even Map One to be done anytime this year. I won't release the map until it works 100% either (unlike *Cough* RoK *Cough*). -Insaniteus- |

Insan...will u give me a tutorial on cameras? like make a camera real close to a character and how to make them rotate and stuff? i just cant figure it out by myself. im always looking at an overhead view. |
| 11-20-2002, 07:30 PM | #30 |
Orzokiki, here is your tutorial: 1: To rotate the camera, you have two choices: Make several camera objects in a circle, or use the trigger Camera - Set camera field Rotation. Other fields fun to work with are Angle of Attack (basically the general angle of the camera, use this to make the game NOT overhead.) and distance from target (zoom in or out). 2: The way I set up extreme closeups in Insaniteus Cinematics was to place the unit in WE where he would be in the map, and then move the screen into the perfect position (Anything too close to the top or bottom won't be seen due to letterbox) and once I had it looking the way I wanted I just created a new camera there. 3: Fade filters are your friends! Remember that they don't always have to have 0% transparency adn that flashing them can make a cool effect. Also the Scope filter makes a perfect sniper and the slash filter if red looks like pain from a FPS. 4: Also, remember that transitions from one camera object to another don't have to be instant. Some times a pan over an area looks awesome. Ok, that's basically all I've used so far. Master these tricks and you should be a God. -Insaniteus- |
