you could put in your Strategy guides if you so desire. also, if you're short on ideas, just pick up a game magazine and flip through it, to get a feel of the format and the types of things they have. |

Yeah strat guides would be cool, maybe put in strange ones, like demolisher rush and stuff, also, i suggest you keep each editon a somewhat small size, maybe 10 pages max, of course magazines are in a lot different format then a typed paper, so you could even reach 15, but remember if u want alot of reading and hits and stuff, then keep it simple, lotta art and stuff, also, then the reviews would have paragraphs and art, anyway, u'll see what i mean if look look through a PC gamer or something like that. Another idea would be, have like this months highest rated art, and take the highest rated art from the art gallery, and put it in, and put in all the comments that one had. |

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll be using a lot of them. :) |

I just thought I would take a second to voice my support for this idea. I think it's an excellent idea to put out a WC3 magazine. I personally would be most interested in a warcraft custom games review. Interviews with the creator and ratings would be great, as well as reviews of a number of different genres. I think that would be a great selling point for the magazine, as I am always looking for new custom games to try and I think a review would really help that. I guess I'll offer a suggestion on format, at least for the reviews. I would love to see a page with all the games reviewed for that month with a rating and a small summary description of the game. With a click, you could read a more in-depth review of the game. The same links could apply to a page with the interview text, the home page for the custom game, and any other links that come up. For example: Aos Era of War - Anitarf. 10/10 In this game you level up and "Create" the hero of your choice as you level. Allows for strategic planning and countering because you can pick heroes to offset other heroes in your lane, or heroes that work well with the rest of your team. List more maps from the genre Other Frozen Chess 1.3 - Mari.Jade. 10/10 An intriguing and original game that allows you to play chess in Warcraft. The pieces will actually battle. Allows for cooperative play on each side. More maps from genre, more genres, etc One other suggestion is that it might be interesting to see reader-submitted editorials on any of a variety of subjects. Your strategy guides would fit in perfectly, but you could include an editorial about the state of DotA from a DotA expert, an article about how bad DotA is and why from a DotA hater, an article on promoting maps from a mapmaker, basically anything could fit in there. Just an idea, but it would allow you to add content without a lot more work on your part (other than reading through submitted editorials). This probably wouldn't work until you had created a few articles. I hope you have the motivation and the time to do this :) |

sounds nice. I could help on map previews. Ive already done previews to games or wc3 maps in other forums so I have a certain experience on such things, and Im always on for testing a new map (as long it isnt obviously a rip-off naturally). |

Sounds interesting enough ;) I'll be waiting for this... I guess... :P (As long as I got more than a week *looks at sig* then I'll be waiting) This way I guess we can get more info about projects which we didn't hear anything of for a while now :P Maybe hold an interview some new projects too, the project you find promising, or interesting that is. Or an interview with our mad-spammers of the forum? ;) Nah, that would be useless... ...maybe some rumors too... if some are being spread around that is :P Alby, it is no use saying that. People will always ask questions to join up even if he clearly said he didn't want help. |

I think its a very good idea, as long as it doesn't die like the previous one. But I have a few suggestions about it. Strategy guides would be nice, but not much since this is a modding site. However a few tutorials in the magazine would be appreciated, I'm sure. Also, try and seek out the less known projects around here that show some promise and advertise them in your mag, many mods would grow that way. Take interviews with modders, learn about projects... etc. I'm also pretty sure of an overview of the stockmarket happenings would be cool too. But I'll just leave all that up to you. |
