Troll Village

i havent terrained anything in a long time.. but ill give it a try........

Hmmm, there's no specific troll race, which we would have to use?
I mean such as Dark Trolls, Island Trolls, Ice Trolls, Forest Trolls?

To answer your question there's no limit to what troll race youw ant. This is because I want to see a great array of different cities and with this many people the cities will start looking similar.

ok the deadline and rules seem exceptable to me. hmmm maybe I should try to recolour and make the Desert trolls hmmm...

You should make the isle complete tropical instead of only making the beach look tropical. Else, nice work!

Well originally it was made to be a beach front with a large tropical "rainforest" that moves inland. If I can find it I'll show you some screens of a mini island model I made that shows where all the different areas were going to be on this massive island.

I've prepared some screenies, i might get some more up if i fell like it :\

A small band of Jungle Trolls inhabits this island off the coast of kalimdor, their main activities are fishing, the Clan witch doctors also craft magical items and wards that are exported via the transport ships. They have set up several fishing posts along the shore of island, and a patch of land off the coast is used for storage. Groups of Batriders also hunt on the surrounding islands for meat to sell.

Looks good, the best in my opinion is the one with the boat. It jsuts seems to fit them so well. I just don't understand how you see large jungle trees growing on small little patches of land in the ocean. I would say that the palm tree or something more tropical would fit the theme better. But then again, I should ask myself the same question.

I'm really kind of mad to say that I might not get my screenies in on time. When I take shots it creates them in Microsoft PhotoDraw format. Anyone know how to convert these to a format that is compatible with wc3c?

in photoshop, open the picture, go to "files" and "save as" then choose the format as jpeg.

when u hit "print screen" instead of opening it in photodrw, open paint then hit CRTL + V (paste) then it should paste ur ss. then crop em and save it as jpeg.

Well for one, the end date might change if the majority of the competitors can't get thier terrain done, also, to convert your screenshots from tga (the format that the ss are automatically put in) you can open a picture editing program like Jasac Paint Shop Pro or dl a free one like GIMP (link available on the main wc3search news page). I understand why your are confused about the file type, its because microsoft automatically changes the icon of the file to a compatitble program that can open and view them. If you want you can either post the ss's here in tga format and I will convert them and send them back so you can edit your post and replace them with the jpeg ones, or you can e-mail me them and Il;l convert them and send them back. Or you can do it yourself.
