1. Orcs don't have a destroyer, they have a Frigate.

2. No, the ship isn't the same as in Warcraft II (check bellow)

Yes, lots of models still need to be made. Making the terrain and triggers is easy, it's taking a long time, because I have to set a whole lot of new units up (see preview of current Troll destroyer model bellow)

U know it was realy hard batteling the undead on the second mission, but i did it after what? five trys. like the boat BTW:...:


1. It may be that you have text display disabled. I'm going to add a trigger to force the text preview (didn't get to it in the preview, though)

2. When the updates will come, that will be reported in both the news site and in the forum, so you'll get it for sure.

3. I have another background scene, but it didn't get in the preview for size issues.


Now, this is how far I've come yesterday. I've made the basic model and unwraped part of the skin (cannons, spikes, bones on the side - partially). The model is fully animated (like that's so hard with ships) but I think it still lacks certain something, certain... Troll touch. Any ideas?

have u ever seen the introduction movie of wc2 if u have there u can see some destroyers, am i right?
There u see that the thing on the roof that u made bluegreen is acually a.., whats it called in english..... that big white thing u use to "catch" the wind with sail i think ah anyway thats what i miss bout the destroyer.

NICE! Missing the logo thing though (wait isn't that logo the horde logo?) Hmm maybe add some Voodooish symbols, meant to ward of sea monsters or something? :P

The skin's not ready yet. For now I just used night elf battleship skin for the cover/sail and human destroyer skin for the rest of the ship. I'll be making a new skin today. The cover was now modified into a sail and I have to say that the thing looks way better now. I also modified part of the death sequence to make the ship rotate and sink head - on (kinda like Titanic :)).

I do have a problem, though. For some reason every time I try to add an attachment point, 3ds collapses. If anybody know what could be wrong, please answer in here or in a thread I'll post shortly in modeling forum.

The campaign looks great. The map design is excellent, and the campaign is actually challenging. However, I found some serious flaws in level 1:

1) The dungeon area reachable through the portal is too bland. It should have more loot, maybe a Staff of Negation or something.

2) I didn't manage to take out the undead base. The lack of dispel or siege means this just becomes a war of attrition. The small area doesn't allow my archers to get within range of the necromancers to focus-fire and the trees regrow so my workers cannot cut a passage through the trees to sneak on the base.

Level 2 looks realy good though, but you should change the name of the Orc clan as Stormrage is already the family name of Illidan and Furion. Also, there are some spelling and speech mistakes but overall the dialogues are good, almost as the official campaign.

Overall, good luck with the campaign. I'm working on my own Blood Elf mod, which will possibly be a campaign too so maybe I could help.

strange I managed to get my archers into the Undead base... though I did spot a bug that it still spawned Ghouls even though the Crypt had been destroyed:////

First Xaran: I am aware of that problem (the spawning Ghouls). The fact is that Mission 1 didn't get new AI, because I thought about replacing the whole first mission (wich is still an option). That's why I did a simple solution and spawn units in the first mission, wich unfortunately caused some wierd effects. Oh well, I'll get to it in the next Preview release, if the mission doesn't get replaced...

Thanks, that was the intention. Variable difficulty will be put in later (though I think mission 1 already has it) to make the campaign accessible to less or more capable players.

Mission 1 has a few known flaws, like the valley and the nearby undead base, I know. I added regrowing trees in this mission already because someone complained that the Undead cut through the trees and attacked him from two sides. I playtested the map several times and were able to take down the base with ease every time, if I had two groups of mixed Swordman/Archer forces. That's why I didn't give that Undead base any defensive towers. But as said previously, this mission can change completely, if time will allow it. Right now the priority are Troll and Wood Elf models.

The name of the orcish clan was thought of as a temporary solution while I was writing the triggers. It seems I have forgotten to change it as it is clearly ment to be part of Thrall's clan. I am also aware that minor spell mistakes may have happened, but that's normal during design process.

I thank you for your positive criticism and contribution to the campaign's progress. I also wish you good luck with your mod/campaign.
