tufy, you can fix that spawning problem by have it check if that building is still there then spawn the units.

And cool Troll Destroyer :D

If I lift the sail any more, it'll loose its unique low profile look, plus it won't look similar to that in Warcraft II. Oh well, can't have everything...

Oh, btw.: those ships in intro are transporters i think. But it's true I haven't seen the movie for quite some time now...

I think the destroyer is awesome! Best ship model i've seen! And its so accurate!
PS: Wat are the stuff behind the troll destroyers (white spikes)? If that are bones, it looks like a unskinned part of model!

The main hull of the ship as well as spikes are not skinned yet. I think I applied the same texture on them as on both catamaran hulls, it's just that on the small spikes that's not visible.

In other news, I think I'll need a skinner (a good one) to help me wrap a few models. Post message here if you're interested.

k i get its true what u r sayin about that low profile stuff and as a matter of fact the orcs cant have troll ships in the intro cuz they werent even allied yet (they allies on second orc mission when u saves zul'jin from that prison)

I got a cool idea for trolls to, u know the batrider, if u r using it could be called cloud surfer or so, and they r like real california/hawii/carribean guys going like"Aloha" when they r ready/attacking, "what u wanna me doode" or maybe "i hear u mon" when marked.

It's a nice idea, I'll think about it.

Anyway, here's a shot of a building I am making right now. And it was tough. You don't belive? First poly count: 2500! I had to cut all the add-ons around the building to get it lower. Oh well, can't have everything, will have to think of something else...

That building is supposed to be a test ground for poly count. I wanted to see how many polys till I hit maximum. It's also a concept design for Wood Elven buildings, though it will get major changes through time.

About the banner: I didn't get to it yet :)

Sorry, I'm a student and have a lot of other stuff to do too, so I didn't have time to reply sooner.

The page will be updated as soon as I have the troll section finished. But certain concept changes required a few minor changes in the Troll balance of units.

Anyway, I'm working on Wood Elf concept right now. The only problem I'm facing is the fact that large trees I wanted to use cover a lot of ground and kinda block visibility. There are two possible sollutions to this: Either I figure a way to make the treetops seethrough (they still need to look good, though) or I drop the whole tree idea. In case of the last, I'd need to come up with an idea of making Wood Elves look "woodlandish", say with wooden buildings perhaps, si I still stick with the tree concept for now.

The trolls, on the other hand, will probably get a whole lot of additional units, like Zul'jin's Guard (think of them as Elite Troll forces) and Cave Trolls (turn to stone during day, unless player has researched Daylight adaption).

RaBiDmOfO, yes, I wanted those skins, because they would put even more variety into the Elven forces, allowing me even more experimentation with different army concepts. You're welcome to send them to my E-mail in exchange for credits, of course.

u can make the tree tops become insible when u move the cursor (thats the right word eh?) over it.
And i saw a silmarillion map called War of the jewels WITH UR SKIN IN!
that wood elf Legolas skin is there!!
