Yeah and ctrl+numpad arrows moves it pretty much anywhere you like. ctrl+pagedown moves it down. That wall looks cool, but will the pathing work? Ah who cares? It's terrain contest :D. |

@i7esperado hm...that river looks strange, it starts from nowhere. edit: yay with 50 post i become warrior:D |

i7esperado that looks nice :D The bridge/entrance to town looks cool, but i think you should add some bushes/rushes, and other minor details and stuff outside of the city. |
| 08-18-2003, 01:35 AM | #306 |
it is pretty devoid of detail, it needs a lot more |
| 08-18-2003, 02:59 AM | #307 |
Well if you can move it about anywhere, you could just put a doodad, like a bridge anywhere on the map, and move it to somewhere you want a bridge to go and units can go under it0_o 0_o |

Units can't go under bridges. The pathing doesn't allow for movement under it, only on it (which in my opinion really SUCKS). |
| 08-18-2003, 03:13 AM | #309 |
What even the image? because when i moved it about, the shadow and everything was where i placed the doodad while moving it elsewhere://// |

What image? I don't really get your question. The entire doodad should move, meaning that the shadow and stuff will move with it. Basically what the ctrl+numpad keys does is that it disables the pathing of doodads, allowing you to move doodads onto each other. For some reason you can't put one doodad directly on top of another though. |

Still have another 13 days until the competition ends. I'll make a new thread with everyone's pictures and a poll to vote on when the time comes. It seems that I'm not the only one posting images with edited terrain etc...does that mean they're allowed? Or a seperate subsection of the competition? If so, I'll enter with a few more pics :P. ~kharma |

This terrain is the same I posted before, but it has a little update. I've replaced the small wc3 trees with one from Night Elves' glue screen (I exported and edited it by myself, I DIDN'T steal from DK). It was done to show that in TotG I'm gonna make more real propotions between units/trees/buildings. The skin needs more work, I didn't spend much time on making it. I'll be improving it later. |

sorry for posting almost the same picture, but i improved some things |

Actually you can make units go under a bridge, but not over it at the same time. For cinematics all you have to do is change a collisionless doodad to look like a bridge. i7esperado, looks alot better, but you still need to add foliage and underbrush to the trees and stuff. Place bushes and shrubs, put some flowers in a few places, put some river rushes on the top edge of the river cliffs. VooDooO, looks very nice. Hey did you once release a demo of TotG a long time ago? I think I remember playing a small rpg where you play as a druid, and start in a little spot kinda like that. |

Yeah, that's when the idea itself was born! That was my firs map with first attempts to skin and first spell editing! :gsmile: I didn't come back to it for a very long time. Damn, I'm such an idiot that I didn't continue it then. I had so much ideas which now I can see many people are getting to. Some things that DK uses, Project Sauroid has, many RPG projects use, I had that ideas a year ago! :bgrun: But then I just didn't have enough skills to put them all to reality. :( |
