You hit it right. I got a camp with boyscouts followed by a concert organised by the boyscouts, barely a few outings with some friends before restarting school. I got busy with homework and revision since then 'cause I have final exams approaching fast. So... I think I really didn't have time to update although I did keep track of the story. Not that I got much inspiration to spare for the story anyway. A black and white background feels just fine... seeing the quality of your work... How do you want me to communicate the information for it? Little update then: Firessa was tired. Her mana had gone in a flash. Oh! If only I could reach those moonwater vials!' The ice had encased most of her body solidly. Only her head was free, and with it, she looked around. Fires were spreading and ice seemed to follow. Earth trembled under the shockwaves of the steamtanks. The spirit towers didn't last long but the undead were nevertheless keeping them at bay. Everywhere, knights fought and riflemen fired; grunts slashed and taurens crushed; arrows flew and glaives arched through the air. But one thing caught her eye, and kept her attention most. Karazai, high elf, seemingly of royal blood, was alone, fighting a lich. She was having difficulty with the lich, no, with the cold. With an effort, Firessa burnt the remnants of her mana... into an immolation. It was not strong but at least, the ice was melting... slowly, but far too slowly. |

Okay, I'll look into that background topic when I can. Thenaius dodged under the menacing blade, rolling backward to stand two yards away. Growling, Drakra feinted a stirke to the left, which turned into a spinning charge straight at the mage. Thenaius spat out a quick spell, bringing his arms in front of him. Just as the orc struck, a shield of energy burst into life before the wizard. Magic struck magic, with a force that knocked Drakra back. Thenaius brought him arm back to incinerate the orc in another spell - and brought it back with a curse as his side cried out in pain. I guess it wasn't such a miracle cure after all. Leaping back onto his feet, Drakra pounced at Thenaius, who just barely avoided the hungering energies of the orc's sword. Thinking fast, Thenaius dropped to the ground, chanting an incantation even through the shock of hitting the earth. Drakra raised his blade, the sword rising . . . and rising . . . and rising, with Drakra along with it, as the orc was sucked into a minor tornado. Thenaius his this chance to get back on his feet and cast another spell, soaring into the air after his foe. Cursing the elf, Drakra muttered the counterspell to the whirlwind, landing on his feet with practised ease. He grinned at the wizard, then cast another spell. Thenaius only had a second to brace himself before he was suddenly driven to the ground with the force of a boulder. The impact was wicked, and Thenaius groaned quietly, trying to get back on his feet. "And so falls another Tirisfal mage." The orc strode up casually to the wizard, then kicked him sharply in the gut. "I hope you elves have a heaven, because my masters will do everything they can to put you in HELL!!!" He raised his sword to deal the finishing blow - -And a net of magical energy wrapped itself over him, trapping the orc. "WHAT!?! NOOOO!!!" Thenaius thought fast - this was his chance to finish things. Ignoring the pain, he cast one last incantation. The ground beneath Drakra softened rapidly, firm earth becoming a sucking pool of quicksand. Drakra roared in defiance and struggled to escape, but the magical net prevented him from getting through to firm ground. His growls of anger became cries for mercy, and then nothing more than quiet gurgling. Only then did Thenaius look up. "Thanks, Firessa. I owe you my life." "And I yours," Firessa carefully helped the wizard to his feet. "Well, I think this battle is almost over," Thenaius said, scanning their surroundings, "And so would be my purpose as 'leader'. Perhaps we can go back and *urngh* talk about your history for a while." "Only if you share a little of yours." "I'll telll you what I can, but some of it I swore never to speak of, for the good of Azeroth." Firessa smiled. "We'll see how tough a shell you are to crack." |

OOC: Yeah, look into it. I could as well communicate it to you by PM if you want. So here's an update. Firessa smiled. “Yes, we'll have to see if you're tough in keeping your secrets. A scream was heard to her right. It was piercing scream. Firessa spinned upon herself to see what it was. Kar was the one who screamed. She had received a blow from a ghoul behind her. The lich laughed, “Now we can start the ritual! He began to chant. Firessa raised her katana. Then she herself screamed. Another ghoul had planted its claw into her arm. “Your turn will comesss! Be patientsss! said the ghoul. “No, I won't! Firessa activated her immolation. As the ghoul burned, others came. The undead numbers had considerably decreased compared to the Alliance's numbers. Firessa swung her katana with her right hand only. She cut down two ghouls before screaming again. A ghoul had planted its claws into her right arm. Almost immediately after, it burned away but its sacrifice was well paid. Firessa had her arms ‘disabled'. She kicked away the other ghouls. A fiend shot a slimy string with balls on its ends at her. The balls hit her fully in her stomach. She was knocked down but swiftly did a kick-up. She jumped to the fiend and kicked it, making use of her fire energy to kill it. Using the last remnants of the energy, she slumped to the ground unconscious. More ghouls closed in on her. _________________________ Kar was restless in her deathbed. Slowly, she left her life go away. She looked at the lich. He was beginning to glow with a light of false white, a light of undeath. Suddenly, a fireball struck the lich and the spell was broken. She was no longer paralyzed by the cold spell. The ghoul which had injured her became a solid ice statue. She jumped upright, took her spear and threw it down to the lich. It became an ice statue but pinned the lich on the ground anyway. She turned into a side kick and broke the ghoul into pieces. She looked at her saviour then. “Thanks, Thenaius. Can you kill that lich once and for all? Kar asked. Then, she saw Firessa, lying down on the battlefield. ‘Oh no! She can't be!' And the undead were closing in on her. |

Four ghouls attacked kraz, he fended off all of the attack with more skill then he normaly had. His heart was still burning in his chest, the pain spreaded throughout his hole body. somehow the pain... was talking to him. numerus voices filled his head, dead things spoke to him he realised Gal'uls, lich, you failed to turn the warrior but you can still change the mage said one of the voices. Kraz killed an abomination chopping all his limbs of the body, then he rolled the large limbless body towards a group off skeletons. Duck heard kras The skeletons ducked. Attack the worrior, obey The skeletons attacked kraz. Kraz started praying. Im lozing my mind. gods, titans help me he prayed. Readying his axe he stood there waiting for the skeletons. they all chopped there swords at the same time. kraz blocked one and smashed one with his hand, breaking the sword arm of the dead one. 3 swords entered his chest and created cut wounds. blood poured out of them. Black light was comming out of the wounds, the black light covered the skeletons as it consumed them hole. The wounds healed exstreamingly fast and hurted like hell. When the wounds where closed and his blood refilled only one skeleton was still facing him. WHAT!! thats not possible, how did he do that..... he did turn hahahaha said a painfull voice. then his head filled with laughter. He cracked the last skeleton with his axe and started praying again Whats happing to me "i must warn the mage" said kraz, hoping that the voices wouldnt hear outspoken thoughts. |

Sorry, things are extremely hectic at college right now: That's it, Gazz! The free ride is over!! "Well, Siroff, if you didn't want me to drop a few of my "trick bombs" down there, why didn't you say something?" I DID!!! Gazz sighed, "Just no appreciation for goblin ingenuity anymore." Siroff swooped down for a landing, when a dark light flashed, causing the shocked wyvern to misstep and tumble across the battlefield, goblin in tow. "What in the light!?" Siroff shouted, returning to his human form. Gazz shrugged. "It came from that human over there." "Alright, go check it out. I'll see about Karazai." "Okay, mount . . . Gidyap! To the human!" "Gazz . . . get off me." "Oh, right. Sorry." |

"Yes.... i will kill myself" thought Kraz. or did he... he didnt know anymore Dont! echoed a voice in his mind. Okay, time to make up a little for those smaller posts earlier: . . . wait. OOC: Okay, time to make up a little for those smaller posts earlier: There we go! . . . I mean, OOC: There we go! Karazai screamed something, then turned around and ran off. Thenaius heard the sound of combat behind him, but he couldn't allow himself to get distracted. There was too much on the line. The lich before him stopped, giving the mage an odd look. Thenaius tried not to tense up under those eyes, but it was difficult not to feel uncomfortable in their unfeeling gaze. Instead, he began muttering a spell. The lich laughed, and a ray of yellow energy shot from its hand. Thenaius screamed in pain as he felt his life being sucked away. With extreme will, he hurled his staff at the undead sorcerer. When the staff connected, an explosion of holy light broke out. Now it was the lich's turn to scream, and it shrank back in pain. Grunting with effort, Thenaius called back his staff, and spat out the last words of the spell. An arc of lightning bolted from the mage towards his opponent, cackling with energy. The lich called forth a magical shield to reflect the attack, but even as he began a spell of his own, the lightning turned around to strike again. The lich cursed and summoned the shield again, but left his flank exposed to the mage, who blasted him with arcane fire. "Damn you!!" the lich shrieked, and with that primal scream he called forth more skeletons from the ground. The undead warriors formed a phalanx around their master, and the lich began casting another spell. Everything went blurry for a moment. Thenaius panicked momentarily, then fought to regain his consiousness. No. He could not let this undead destroy her. _____________________________________________________ Siroff was shocked at the number of ghouls - it was almost like the rest of the battle was irrevelant. Then he saw their master battling Thenaius. But where was Karazai? There she was, in the midst of the ghouls, jumping around and slashing madly. Underneath the vile undead, Firessa's form could just barely be made out. Siroff cursed, then lept into the fray, bringing his sword in a low arc to slay the first few around him. Karazai darted through the undead to reach Siroff, and they stood back to back, tearing into any ghoul foolish enough to get near. They made their way back to Firessa with all possible haste, cutting up the undead that tried to reach her. Karazai knelt down beside the night elf, giving her a vial of the precious Fountain water that had made Raignaton a major trade city. Firessa groaned with pain, but at least she was still alive. Satisfied, Siroff dove into the nearest pair of ghouls, sweeping low, then high, in a circle that left each monstrosity one limb short. Growling, the two turned to attack - just in time for the finishing slash, as Siroff neatly severed their heads. Another pair charged at him. Siroff feinted a retreat, turning his blade upside-down, then turned suddenly back at his pursuers, impaling both ghouls on his sword. He lifted, and the weapon cleanly bisected their chests, necks, and faces. The rest of the ghouls scattered. Siroff breathed a sigh of relief. He turned to Karazai, who was cleaning her blade. "How is Firessa?" "I think she'll be fine." Karazai paused, looking ahead. "It's Thenaius I'm worried about." Siroff curses - he'd forgotten. He rushed over to help Thenaius. You know, I never realized before exactly how much I hate undead. |

Firessa drifted in space... Everywhere was white without any depth suggesting a wall or corner. There was only a floor... and an unattainable ceiling. She felt her arms aching even more than her tired legs. Dressed in her combat armaments, she looked battered. 'Am I in Heaven or what? If it is, I don't like it at all!' She thought. "Welcome, Firessa... Flamedancer!" "Who are you?" Firessa shouted, "How do you know my name?" "Your... father was a good friend of mine, little Firessa." "My father? What does he have to do in this?" Firessa was startled. "Your father has everything to do in this, Queldorei." "Queldorei? I am no Highborne! I am a night-elf, a daughter of the moon! Kaldorei!" "You know quite well that that's not true. You have said it yourself to your friend... the high elf." "Thenaius..." Firessa whispered, "Queldorei... Highborne..." Thoughts raced through her mind as reason came with a sudden crash, "My father..." Firessa grasped at the memory, "You can't be!" "Yes, I am. You know who I am. You know what I came for." "No! I will never give up Elune for you, Azshara!" "Just listen to your heart. I'm sure the Highborne blood teaches you well. You are ready to bloom, Firessa." "My heart tells me to reject! I shall never! Even though Highborne blood is within me, I shall not give myself to evil!" "As you like it, Firessa! I shall give you some encouragements to come to us! Another will die!" "No! I won't let you!" Firessa felt herself falling. The white slowly faded to black... until everything was a black abyss. Her eyes flew open... _________________________________ Kar was relieved that Firessa was still alive. Priests came to heal her. Karazai watched the battle against the lich. The latter was still not giving up. Picking up her blade, she turned her concerns to the undead. Some more fiends were coming. Leveling her spear with her arm, she charged into the group, catching one of them straight in the head. The fiends were quick to retaliate. One lashed out a leg at the high elf, knocking her away. Kar regained her senses quickly enough to avoid a stray bolt from the lich. She jumped forward and swung her spear, cutting front legs of a fiend. As swiftly as ever, she kicked the fiend and stabbed it in the neck. She slammed the butt hard against the third and last fiend before finishing it with a slash and a stab. As she straightened herself, a bolt made her fly, back in the direction of Firessa. Kar felt her energies dissipating. Her stamina was getting low. Soon, she would fall like Firessa. She wouldn't let that happen. ____________________________________ Firessa saw a blue form passing over her. 'Please, tell me it won't be her! Please!' She couldn't get up. Her arms were aching too much. While the priests worked on her wounds, Firessa prayed... just prayed... OOC: Here! Is that exciting enough? Huh, Marco, have you had time to look at the background details? |

OCC: heya all.... lol. marco loved your pic in marco versus muoteck "who is this siroff gazz." asked Kraz "well some say that he's the real leader of our partly dead army" siad gazz "Well you do know that everybody has more respect for him then for the mage." A stream of jalousy entered kraz his body, a feeling he had not felt a long time. It felt good, refreshing, after the dozens of dreadfull feelings. They ran away from the undead camp, seeing many warriors die. Gods, look out for my wife and daughter said a grief voice. Kraz stoped running and looked around. he felt a man dieing. A sudden rush in his body pointed him to a man that was impailed by a skeletons sword. He looked dead but kraz knew that the man wasnt. "he man we dont have the time to look at pretty dead people" "He's not dead" Gazz looked at the warrior. "looks dead to me" "HE'S NOT DEAD" said kraz crying. He picked the half dead man up and carried him with him. "He needs a healer" trears where comming down from kraz his eyes. "he has a daugther" "Ok oke... i see an elven healer over there with that girl. HE! thats firessa" Kraz ran. Then he stoped, a stream of dispear and fear made his body freeze... OCC: im gonna draw some.... bye |

OOC: Thank you, Tosso . . . now if only the judges would say something . . . I've started the rough draft on you request, Arching Blades, just so you know. Feel free to add anything you feel a need to mention. I'll add to the story sometime tonight, I suppose (if it matters, I'm running on Central Time). Almost thought Carigon would join in again, but no matter - let's kill him and loot his corpse (just kidding)! EDIT: Okay, here we go: Thenaius ducked behind a skeleton as the torrent of ice fell from the sky. The undead shattered under the force, leaving the lich one bodyguard short. Backing away from the advancing retinue, Thenaius loosed a chain of lightning. The skeletons shuddered, but didn't fall. This guy's good, Thenaius thought. He heard shouts behind him, and risked a look - Siroff was on top of a pack of ghouls, hacking his way through to the trapped Karazai - - A barrage of negative energy caught Thenaius in the jaw, toppling the mage over and leaving him gasping for breath. There was an odd taste in his mouth - Blood. Cursing, he stood up quickly - and was knocked back down by the strike of a skeleton. No! Thenaius heard someone scream. The skeletons were on top of him. They grabbed the mage, pulled him up to stand before the lich. "Fool elf - I always get what I desire." Reaching into its mantle, the lich laughed softly. "Don't struggle - it could be detrimental to your health!" The lich laughed, and drew out a wand, brought it back menacingly. It began to mutter a spell - - And its head exploded with a deafening crack, shards of bone flying everywhere. The skeletons disintegrated, and Thenaius fell hard to the ground, exhausted and beaten. Standing across from the no-longer-undead was Glakthul, a big grin splitting his beard. "Now why'd you go get into that sort of trouble, lad? You could'a been killed!" "Oh, yes, Glakthul - especially when a dwarf risks taking my head off with that large gun of yours." "Oh, nonsense, boy - I learned that trick shot in my days sniping for Lady Jaina in Ashenvale! You'd've been fine no matter the case!" "Fine, whatever-" Thenaius paused to try to stop from throwing up. He failed. "*hack* . . . Where's Varall, anyway?" "He's finishing off that abomination. You should'a seen the boy go at it! I've never seen a lad fight with such ferocity! Why . . . I'd . . ." The dwarf trailed off suddenly, his eyes staring off into space, his skin going white. "Glakthul?" Thenaius nearly stumbled in his hurry to stand up, only to be knocked down by a sudden force. "Glakthul!" Thenaius stared in horror at his friend as a large, incorporeal snake seemed to manifest out of nowhere, casually wrapping itself around the dwarf. "NO!!" Thenaius lept to his feet, nearly falling down again in the process. He ran at the serpent and swung his staff, only to hit air. It wasn't real? But it's effect on Glakthul was obvious, as the dwarf gasped for breath, the coils crushing his ribs. Thenaius could only watch in horror as his longtime friend was slowly crushed to death. Even as he saw it, he couldn't believe it. Thenaius' knees stopped working, and he fell hard to the ground. Somewhere behind him, somebody said, "By . . . By the Light, Thenaius! What h-happened to him?" Thenaius groaned, trying to get his mind to work. His face was blank from shock. "It . . . It must have been some kind of spell activated by the lich's death. . . . . . . But why . . . why a serpent?" Firessa started crying. Thenaius mechanically got up to kneel down beside her, his hand protectively over her shoulder. He didn't know the whole reason she cried, didn't hear the voice talking to her. He's just the first. Join me, or there will only be more deaths, and they will be closer . . . and closer . . . |
| 09-24-2004, 09:10 PM | #327 |
Firessa was splashed in a deadly solution of sadness and anger. The death of Glakthul devastated her and knowing that more supernatural deaths will occur made it even harder to endure. She shook Thenaius's arm from her to stand up. She wanted to know who was to be next. Who was even closer to her than Glakthul? Big question… I just hope I'll be able to stop her! “Hello Firessa! Do you want to join me? The voice of Azshara resonated in her mind. Disgust welled up in her as she fought to keep sane. “No, never! You know that I hate the Naga! Firessa almost voiced those telepathic words. “Ah! Well then! Look to your right! Firessa slowly turned to look at Naya. The night-elf Captain stabbed a ghoul with her personalized dagger. “Now you see her? Watch! Firessa was afraid. She had no power of stopping her demon even if she wanted to. Naya spun on herself as a safety precaution. It was a good reflex. At least, she was ready for anything… Except that thing waiting for her… That thought made her want to cry but she restrained herself as Naya smiled. A wondrous smile… seen for the last time… Naya ran up to her shouting, “Let's… but she was suddenly interrupted by a brusque terror which overwhelmed her. Firessa knew what it was. From behind her, a giant cobra made its way for Naya. “Look out, Firessa! It's coming! Naya cried. She doesn't know it's all happening because of me… A fire flared inside her and warmth spread through her body. The cobra prepared to attack Naya, lifting its head perpendicularly. With swift movement, like the trap catching the prey, the serpent propelled itself towards the Captain, mouth wide open. With a start, Firessa dashed in front of Naya to take the blow. The cobra came closer with each of Firessa's accelerating heartbeat. When the serpent finally touched Firessa, it became invisible. “Ah, I think it's alright now… Firessa sighed. She looked at Naya and jumped back, horrified. Naya's body was twisted in an unnatural way and her eyes were glassy grey. Oh no! That was not enough! “You're crying, Kaldorei? Turn to the Queldorei and become one of us! It'll be easier then! “NO!!! Firessa screamed and trailed off. The atmosphere was suddenly silenced. Temperature rose promptly and dramatically. Nearby leaves took fire and even the dark blight seemed to darken. The flame Firessa always radiated became stronger, hotter, wilder and bigger. It seemed to rise to the skies. “AH!!! Firessa continued to scream as the anger attained its limit. It seemed to be able to go through the rooftop of the meter. The ground around her, boiled. She hovered over the ground as supernatural changes occurred in her features. Her hair turned from black to a reddish shade; her eyes lost all color for a moment but they changed to a reddish brown color; her skin changed to a lighter color, almost exactly as a high-elf's but preserving the purple color nevertheless and finally her lips became blood red. Her power had definitely been upped by the transformation. Everyone centered their attention on her. The heat began to fade as Firessa fell down. When the air had cooled again, everybody watched around them. The undead still seemed surprised by Firessa's transformation. Some of them had vanished because of the heat. The battle restarted with even more zeal. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kar hit against a tree hard. For a moment, she blacked out. She was awakened by a piercing scream and immediately stricken by an unbearable heat. Oh no, Firessa! What is it that's making you… She saw Firessa hovering in the air, her colors changing. What's happening for God's sake?! OOC: So? Was it interesting? I have some more plans for the story… If you want to draw Firessa, Marco, I think I gave enough details on her, so go ahead if you want. It's not a request... I'll change her vestments soon! |

HEYA!!!... sorry i didnt post... had to spend some time with my GIRL here i go. "Whats wrong?" said gazz "you dont look that great" Kraz was sitting with 1 leg on the ground, head faced down and tears running down his face and then over his jaw and hit the ground. a feeling like something was dieing. pain that kraz had never felt bevore. he looked up and saw Glakthul beeing crushed. "help him" kraz cryed out and looked at thenaius who was to far away to hear it Its sad for him but he is beyond saving for the likes of you "Then you help him... the pain its not normal" "To whom are you talking" asked Gazz I cannot. sadly i only observe. Im not even on this continent nor your world "If you cant help him, help me" "huh?? what are you talking about, are you fighting personal demons?" gazz continued. i would but that mage is comming... Kraz hated the voice that was talking to him. He always hated secrets and hidden plots. One last thing, an other will die. And the pain will be worse, in time new pains will be less... exstreem The voice in his head said that last peice with a little sadness, like it was an empty promis. a promis that had absolutly no valeu at al Kraz stood up and whiped his eyes. gazz looked at him, His face told kraz that gazz was scared and didnt know what was happening. "The mage is comming" said kraz. Gazz faced the ground and was thinking about something. A feeling of smallness entered kraz his body. he looked at the goblin and understood. Thenaius came closer and asked kraz and gazz to come and see firessa "Something bad is happening to her" |
