Create or complete the aquatic Naga race. The naga can play on land same way as undead. They require wet lands to create buildings so u can base this on blight method.

Also, heroes would be like characters from Ariel Mermaid. It can be Ursa the sea witch (lady with bottom half of an octopus)

King Triton (Mermaid guy) - for land, he would be operating a chariot run by murlocs and the chariot is actually a beatiful tub full of water so mermaid hero can stay alive.

And maybe another Turtle hero.

Wood use can be done by pouring into an acid that helps for food, building and units.
