Actually I'm using my own knowledge of medieval warfare to make the concept of spearman, adjusting it to look elven. They spearmen (and later pikemen, though to lesser extent) had shields to protect themselves from enemy assaults, while holding the spear parallel to their other hand's forearm (some even had the spear tied to their hand, but that proved to be a disadvantage when fighting on disoriented battlefields). The elven spearman would thus follow such practice, but would have two major differences: 1. Their armour should be made of (imaginary) mithril, further strengthening their defense and 2. they should (beside looking elven) carry some sord of mark of the Council (being the council guard), perhaps an eagle of something on their shield, or perhaps a special color band on their armour (I'll figure that one out). bustedgamer, you can obviously see that both Warhammer and Lotr Elves are not of much use to me, since they have an entirely different practice in warfare (the only powerful elven kingdom besides Mirkwood in Lotr (that I can think of) that had large spearman force was Gondolin and its Phalanx of Guard). But who knows, perhaps a little idea borrowing would do. |

Base spearmen off pikemen? Obsurd! Spears were 7-10 foot long (2-3 metres). Pikes are 16 foot (5 metres) long. They were used completely differently. You cant exactly strike someone with a Pike... you have to hope they run into it :) |

Ok, enough kidding, here's the "Spellbreaker" possibility with new skin (about 1/2 done, but you get the point). |

i got another idea for the spellbreaker: make his hair color brown (are there any brown haired elves...? oh yes, the sorc!) this would make him not so like the "normal spellbreaker, exept that he has a long spear in his hand. |

Well, as much as I remember, High Elves were supposed to be dark haired (all the Noldor except the Finarfin's family were darkhaired), so I might change the hair color. I've just started on the animations, so expect progress report soon. And the Web page will be updated in the following weekend. |

also, tufy, make his (spearman's) mask not so large. This would give some individual to him |

Well, here's the dark haired version - the last one today. Now for the animations... |
