i remmeberd Tufy say something about elves... that er.....? was it noldor elves who had dark hair? yeah any way these elves r probably some other kinda elves cuz they r alot of blond |

The Noldor are Tolkien's High Elves (and thus can be regarded as "original" High Elves). The only blonde Noldo family was the house of Finarfin (Galadriel is his daughter). Other Noldo were dark haired. Of course there are still the Vinjar, who were almost entirely blonde. I'm guessing it's the same with Sindar (Mirkwood Elves were blonde, as you can see in case of Legolas). Later, people often described Elves as blonde, since that is the modern western symbol for beauty. |

I knew u would sat something like that!! I don know anything u speak of and plz i dont wanna know, i got a lot in my mind allready!! Other stuff: did u get my idea of a spell for adanion? if u didnt, here it is again: Adanion teleports to a random enemy unit dealing a lot of damage to it. i tink its a original idea but i dunno.... |

I got the idea, it might get used, though I have omnislash preety much complete. Anyway, here's the "Spear Breaker" :) in game. Current animations are Stand, Stand Defend, Stand Ready, Attack and Attack Defend. Move and Death are the only ones remaining, then I'll start to work on that Hawk Rider's actual in-game look. |

Ups, forgot to attach :) Oh, btw.: I decided to give the Cavalry a "Light Unit" tag. The heaviest Elven unit will thus be the Spearman, while the cavalry will be fast support units. |

now i dont know **** about animatings and modelings, but the move animation should be like the other spellb's just he got a 3 meter long spear instead of a... u know... those things as spellb's got as wepons.... |

I'll be making two move animations, one for defend and one for classic. In classic he'll carry his spear around like SB's transporting his blade. In defend version he'll carry the spear under angle and hold his shield in defense (I'll be using these animations in a cinematic where Undead charge directly at Elven spears). |

i just noticed that that tree-house in the background, its to small to lokk good, now im not trying to be mean or anything but it just looks right. |

Don't be bothered by the tree house, the shot was taken in my test map and that tree house was just a possibility that I will most likely not use at all (or will use it, but it will be a specific cinematic unit). All that it was supposed to do was test how tree houses would look in-game (result: not good, the treetop covered most of it and if I made it bigger it looked, well, wierd. I'll pursuit my second solution for now...). |

U realy like special cinematic units, dont ya? |
| 12-03-2003, 07:23 PM | #418 |
Well, I didn't mean it like that. It's more of a special building, kinda like those Elven Farms in Undead campaign (ROC), or perhaps a building in a city (except this will be a very wooden city :)). The others (like that Spearman's defend ability) will be used in game, but will also be used in cinematics (wait till you see the largest battle sequence!) |
