Items can spawn in shallow water, the only deep water thats on the map currently is around roshis isle.

I definentaly am looking forward to this map, probably it's my most anticipated. And that's saying a lot, considering my lack of fanship towards Dragon Ball Z. Ragnarok, let me just say first, I truley mean you no offense, you're a pretty good terrainer, I just think you could do better. I read how you said some parts of the map are open, yet I think they're WAY too open. Also, try and make the grass more natural looking, use less splotches of one style of grass, mix darker grasses more with lighter grasses and some rock. Try making the terrain slightly less flat aswell, it seems to dull it out a bit. Focus on little things, as to keep the map still open, but keep them detailed, say there's a tiny hill on the ground, focus on making it look nice, give it a few blades of tall grass, put some bare, non grassy parts to it.

Usually these things don't matter too much, but this map seems to be very anticipated, and has a lot of hard work into it, I wouldn't want it to lose any of it's luster do to lack of terrain style eye candy.

Acting drunk at night, well I guess when I'm really not drinking at night, I can get a little slap happy. But it's nothing that can't be controlled with a little concentration, not like when I'm sloshed.

I want to see what he has to say too.

Btw, I LOVE the water area, because I know of a few battles that can take place there, but one more thing, items can't spawn in water areas, therefore dragonballs cannot spawn in the water areas, so don't make a great deal of the map.. well, water. A mistake my last terrainer made, that caused me to reterrain a large part of the map.
well duh this is the best dbz map ive seen and ive been to alot of Sites
1#. You include custom Skins
2#.You include Custom Animations
3#.Hopefully ther map will be below 3 mgbs
But only thing that stinks is the no single player cause only noobs will join it Btw what wrong with makin it where (example) A player Enters Chat Message Equal to Whosyourdaddy Show Scores and Display Message No Cheating Just a thought but it would be better and it would improve the map 100X better cause some people have slow 56kps connection and would rather rely on there modem than there Internet Connection.Oh and do you need the Big Bang Icon still?

Theres no way to fix the anti cheat using chat strings. People can edit their blizzard files and just make it so that code "whosyourdaddy" can be accessed by typing "whosyourmama"

Aye LucaTurilli I'll get to that now. I also noticed some bland parts of the terrain. It is quite hard to make a Open Part of a map. Thanks for the advice.

People that have that slow of a connecetion shouldn't be playing such large maps anyways. And he disables single player to prevent cheating. All you'd have to do is type "whosyourdaddy" then you'll be able to kill the entire map, and level your hero easily. Allowing single player will absolulty not make the map 100x better, rather it will make the map 100x worse.

EDIT: Ragnorak, indeed it is hard, I'm not much of a terrainer myself, I can get around, but barley. I hang around the terrain forums a lot though, so, I take in what knowledge I can.

didnt really think of that but people can still find away around that no single player by opening the map unless he protects if he knows how (Simply damage a trigger or DL War Map Utilities. How much will it cost for the models if hes gonna sell them its my B-day i gots plenty ^_^

1. Not only custom skins.. custom models too. There isn't even one new skin that isnt attached to a completely new model.

2. Animations, those are thanks to lacrossetitans.

3. I'm sure it'll be near 3MB, I'll try my best to keep it under.

No singleplayer because of this: player Enters Chat Message Equal to Whosyourdaddy.
You cannot use the cheat strings for chat or string values, it won't do anything, and we discussed this earlier in the topic. You can put it so a player types die, and they get kicked from the game, try the same exact trigger, replace die with WhosYourDaddy, and nothing will happen. Blizzard seems to have put a block on this.

So no singleplayer due to the fact that cheats will be allowed, and because I love seeing other people playing dbz games on b.net. If this map goes nearly as well as I expect it to.. this'll be the only DBZ you see on b.net :).

Another little known fact. Game lag on battle.net has NOTHING to do with your connection. The only thing involving your connection is downloading the map. When you see people lagging, its most likely their computer speed. Map loading time also has nothing to do with connection speed, but the speed of your computer. So I really don't care about the filesize much, once they download the map, the rest is up to their computers.

Oh and LucaTurilli, you told him to add rocks. Well, I got very bored, and created custom rock models from the TV show as well.. I'll prolly end up using those.

Edit: Just saw the thing about map protection. Yes, the map will be protected.. and I mean HEAVILY. I know exactly how to make a custom protection system, and I'll probably be protecting it to the max. If anyone else knows a really good protection prog, I'll be glad to use it. I heard Heavy Locker was good. I'll most likely use that because it also reduces file-size.

By rocks, I meant rocky tiles.

Anyways, I highly doubt that your map will be the only DBZ map on battle.net. Have you ever heard of rampage? That's a crappy map that many young players have fallen in love with. But most of the players that play that do not understand what it is to actually work and create good triggers. Sadley those players out number us that do understand what a good map truly is.

Very Bored to make custom rocks? You must have been Very Super Very Bored.

Also took some more time to detail a specific part of the map that i thought was at it's worse. I'll post screen shots within a half hour. I also want to hear what LucaTurilli thinks of them...

Argh, I didn't really want to sound like an expert on terraining, I guess I went a little over the edge. I can give you my oppinion on terraining, but there are a slew of various other people on this forum that can give you a much better oppinion than me.

Maybe show some of your stuff off in the terraining forum?

I understand this completely. Actually, it is what compelled me to make a dbz map. I noticed that all other DBZ maps out there, well, suck. I hate playing other maps that follow other shows or game, and completely blow every other dbz map outta the water. It sickens me to know that there are NO decent dbz maps on b.net. I created this map for the sole purpose of changing that. The sole purpose to make everyone stop wasting there time on a DBZ map that has no meaning and to play one that you can actually enjoy. I believe this'll be the FIRST dbz map with a working save/load also.

Well, I expected the terrain to take much longer. But once the terrain is done and handed over, I'll make a few quick changes. After that I'll start posting daily updates of what has been added to the terrain map from my test map. At one point beta testers will be chosen. Not any beta testers however.

When beta testers are chosen, if the map so much as hits ANYONE else's computer, I will terminate progress on the map immediately.
