we are in dire need of a spellcaster and modeller to get this underway here, also, if someone could help me to register my nick on irc and register my channel it would help a lot. :D

Yep thats the chatroom. I am another ideaman helping with alot of stuff. I'll just give you people some basis to make ideas for. There are going to be two clans, a good clan, who like the old ways. The other troll clan is the evil clan, they dabble in necromantic magics and stuff, some other stuff might be further planned for them. The last group are the orcs, who don't like any trolls and who apperantly currently want to kill both.

The feeling for the good troll clan is they are, well good. The troll sections of it are going to be mainly made up of fighters, who have skills increasing their fighting and strategies. For spellcasters, goblins will help them out. Not neceserally spellcasters, but one will already be one who uses bombs and explosives etc. One that actually uses spells or potions or whatever is up for grabs. Also think about other stuff, heros, flying units, spellcasters, odity units (shade, frost wyrm, kodo beast, steam tank).

The feeling for the evil clan, is well, evil! For right now all we are planning on being trolls are spellcasters, but free rign on fighting units for them anyone has is also accepted. The types of spells they have, will be necromantic, with probably some witch doctor mixed in. I was thinking of the shadow hunter in alpha, he had a ward that resurected all units as skeletons who die in it. Think of stuff like that, and spells that would horribly augment units, enemies, friendlies, whatever. Also think of odity units, same as with the good tribe.

Orcs, will probably be orcs. I am guessing right now just regular ones without kodo beasts. Possibly also probably chaos orcs, because they are still bloodlusty and stuff.

If anyone has any ideas of natural life in the area, we could probably use some nutral units to put in merc camps or to develop the storyline or contents.

*The Baneful*
-The Baneful are a group of ghosts whove set out to spread their thousands of years of torment and pain across all creatures in their path. Their main dwelling is The Fortress Of Woe. **allied with evil trolls**

*The Giving Tree*
-This Tree acts like the well of life, it heals nearby units.

*The (dont know yet) Of Cellestia*
-This (dont know yet) acts like the well of mana, it replenishes mana of nearby units

*The Rogue Trolls*
-When the trolls split up and went their seperate ways, some trolls left their tribes and now live in the forests. They are sick of the old ways, however do not like the necromancy. They fight for food, and fight when they have to.

*The Wrath of Nature*
-All of natures creations are allied with the trolls with their old ways. They mainly dwell in The Forest Of Truth. **allied with good trolls**

I don't really think this idea about good n' bad trolls will work out since there are really not any "good" trolls. There are the normal just unfriendly trolls, and then there are the really mean evil twisted bad *** trolls. At least this counts for forest ones.

ok, going by the time on WC3 campaigns, if all people with ideas toward the campaign could join mIRC and go to #trollapalooza at around 14:00 (time on wc3 campaigns) today (march 11) it would help to sort this massive amount of complaints and things. If you dont have mIRC get it from downloads.com and get here pronto! the password is trollsrock, i don't really care about the password anymore. If you want YOUR idea implemented, i better see you on IRC today. Please, this is a joint effort, so make an effort to be there.


EDIT: CRAP! its too hard to schedule meetings without a forum... hmm, ok, instead how about we all meet in a week at 6:00 pm? if you live somewhere other than california just PM me so i can figure out what time it will be there.

Hum, one question. Are gobling going to be included wit hthe trolls? Maybe something like the tauren totem from the orcs, something like goblin burrow or something... And what about the ultimate unit?(Frost Wyrm, Chimaera, Gryphon Rider, Wyvern Rider/Tauren) It can be something like Half Troll/
giant, or some hybrid, or an Hermit Troll... Just some ideas

PRETTY MUCH FINAL STORYLINE

Ok in this campaign, at first it is going to be played from the evil troll's point of view, then it is going to backtrack a little (which'll be a little tricky...) and play it from the good troll's side of view, but here it all is.

Trolls fighting over resources, good trolls winning.

Evil trolls pushed back almost all the way, good trolls command most all of the trollish territory.

With some necromantic and warlockish experiements, evil trolls poisoned a pool.

Orc cultists, evil orcs, who still have taste for bloodlust and evil masters, happen to drink from pool, feel it's power, and bring some back for their chief.

Evil trolls feel new connection, and realise these orcs through some magical connection.

Orcs give bad water to chieftain.

Evil trolls gain control of chieftain, and through his blood, gain control of his whole clan.

Evil trolls exploit this, attack good trolls from behind, and capture alot of their towns who are far away from the war with evil trolls.

Good trolls learn of this, start working their way south to free their bretheren.

Evil trolls work their way south, to learn how to better exploit their new power over the orc clan, and the captured good trolls.

-where good troll campaign starts, but evil trolls hasnt stoped yet-

Good trolls meet resistance from orcs on way south, and after a little while, combined with evil trolls, which confused them and adds mystery.

Evil trolls make it all the way south, to the main camp of the orcs, where the good trolls are held captive, begin tests on the good trolls.

Power hungry necromancer left by arthas to watch over the land, feels the evil troll's presence in using necromantic and warlock magics. Power hungry necromancer goes to investigate with his scourge army to gain more power.

After some fights with orcs, and evil trolls mixed with orcs. Good trolls enlist aid of goblins, and a goblin nutrual hero.

Good trolls and goblins finally break through the orc camps and get to the main camp.

(show down lookish thing) Good trolls see their bretheran having stuff done to them, get mad, and attack.

Mid-battle, scourge army lead by power hungry necromancer invades, takes out whole main base, good trolls retreat into hills.

-end of evil troll campaign, goes to start of good troll campaign now-

Good trolls hide in nearby hills, see human force fleeing undead.

Good trolls tell goblins to hide, good trolls make temporary truce with humans to defend against undead using the hills for extra defence.

Beginning of battle, good trolls wonder why goblins havent come back yet. Mid-battle a goblin comes back, informing the good trolls that they stole (either gryphons or gyrocopters) and the goblins strike the back of the undead.

Sneak attack leaves enough room for trolls and humans to counter attack, they whipe out the undead who were the immedate threat.

Humans find out about the treachery, attack good trolls.

Good trolls first impresion is to destroy all of the humans, but a scout comes back telling of some evil trolls traveling 'with' some undead.

Good trolls descide to only take some supplies from the humans (destroy 1 or 2 towns) then persue the undead further.

Good trolls now have air units (gryphons or gyrocopters), then 2 or 3 missions against undead, till they see the evil trolls with some undead setting sail. End of campaign, leaving opening for sequel (expansion pack).

Notes:

Orcs are just regular orcs, no kodo beasts, wyverns (which they would have to get from kalimdor). Evil trolls are mostly just spell casters, evil trolls and the orcs together create real army.

No need for good trolls to have air units untill vs-undead missions, since the evil trolls and orcs have no air units (probably). Also because the evil troll part of the campaign will be shorter most likely.

Good trolls also will obviously be alone in the beginning also, but team up with the goblins.

We have most of the units down already. We need ideas for what the troll preist's spells will have (who will be 2nd spellcaster). I personally think that troll gryphon rider will be cooler than goblin gryocopter pilot. We could fix it in the storyline with a minor tweak or two.

Also we need ideas for evil troll spellcasters, and hero. They won't really have all that much warlock magics, mostly necromancy, but orcs will probably have a warlock unit. We also need hero ideas for evil trolls, an orc hero probably won't play much of a part, but we'll see.

Good trolls tell goblins to hide because humans wouldn't be much likely to temporary ally with trolls, let alone goblins. And don't question this please, trolls didn't want to ally with orcs either, but they did to crush a common foe, and the good trolls even turn on the humans afterwards, even though the humans did it first.
