Guest | I have to say like evrybody else! Your terrain looks perfect! 1) I really want to see picture's of the ladders?, I dont belive that the uruk-hai are climbing up on the ladder?, that is impossible! 2) Are the orcs going to blow up the wall? like in the movie? that would be a impossible part to... "but very nice" 3) And you need the horn sound... just beforce gandalf return's that would be very nice :o 4) Those are all very hard part's, it just some tips... the map will rox anyway :) 5) GET FINISHED :D I really want to play it :) |

@X The Uruk-Hai wont ACTUALLY climb the ladders (with animations) but you will see a unit carry a ladder next to the wall, and through a series of complex triggers this allows the Uruk-Hai to "warp" onto the wall. Once its released you should be pleased with the outcome. ;) @KaMi 1) Just told x, I'll put a pic up after school. 2) Yes, they'll blow up the wall, I'll show you the section after school also. 3) Open you editor and go to the sound tab, then browse for Horn of Cenarius, thats the sound. Now is that perfect or what? :ggani: 4)Thanks! 5) I'm trying! :D |

wow this looks VERY great!!! how did you do the walls? They're sooo great!!! I wouldnt add sub-quests. The good guys have to defend HD till the last Uruk falls, and the Uruks have to take HD at all cost! Thats everything. I wouldnt add subquests like 'blow up the wall to gain an attack advantage'. The player himself has to decide wether or not he blows things up! Maybe you could make some Huorns attack the Uruks from behind after a set amount of time! That would make it very suprising for the ones who havent read the book! (you said your version was based on the book and on the movie, so I guess you read the book and know what Huorns are) Overall, it looks VERY NICE, and I'm looking forward of playing it! Also if you need any testers for ur map, then let me now I would be honored to help you! -- Nuladion -- |

I might do that, I had totally forgotten about that part, thanks. It is only singleplayer tho, and I dont know if I will make a version with the option to be the Uruk-Hai at the moment, but I'll keep it in mind. :D |

Question: Will you controll all of the helms deeps armies or only the heroes? cuz i think it would be better to only be able to controll the heroes... |

I planned on having the player controlling the whole army at Helm's Deep, but I could release multiple versions. If you only controlled the heroes, it would be a cinematic heavy map. |

Here is the requested Culvert shot. When the fuse ignites so do most of the units surrounding it, so stay clear! ![]() |

I am doing terrain and triggers on my own, but Dakan has supplied me with a plethora of feedback and information on my progress. To put it simply, he has a copy of the map. :ggani: Thanks for all the comments. If you would like ANY shots taken, let me know ASAP! |

Guest | All looks perfect except one thing!! I cant open the image with the ladders?!, is it only my computer or what?... When i open the image i'll just see the gold and etc but nothing belove :( How much is it left? i cant see anything in your signature?... |
| 03-11-2003, 11:24 AM | #43 |
Right click on the downloaded .tga and select Open With, then gind Internet Explorer, then you can view it. I'll upload it to my host later so you wont have to. I removed my signature because it was too large, I still have a lot of scripting to do, but I finished the first cinematic and most of the first battle. |
