Guest | I've tried the Map Protector myself and I can say that the results are very bad. Every third map that I protected did not load into the GAME as well, either crashing the game or just returning me to the main menu. I made DAMN sure that I was doing everything correctly, plus I tried this on both the patched and the unpatched versions of Warcraft III. Still the same effect. I experimented with original WC3 custom maps and some fan maps around here. Anyone can help with this? |

I tried to protect a map, just to test it out, but I can still load it in the editor, and save over it. I could open both the orignal and the "protected" version. They both played in the game too. I followed all the directions, and I was wondering, what exactly should it say/do when you click start? Mine just runs a command prompt, and the title says its in windows/system32/cmd.exe, and it has 1 files copied on the screen. I -think- there is stuff after this, but the window closes really fast. |

Okay I really don't know where to get mpq2k. But you need it none the less. IF you don't have mpq2k and do it then it just makes a copy. Also if your map has no triggers or is a melee map this protection may not work. For it not working every time...I'm not really sure as I've tested it on about 10 maps and it worked fine. Including very large maps like Kaggz RPG 2.0 and very small maps my killfest for retail (not released to public but the map is under 19kb). Anyway until wc3campaigns gets its server working correctly try war3pub for mpq2k. |

But I downloaded mpq2k, and installed it and everything, so I don't see what the problem is:( |

Remember in the first slot to actually select the program (you only have to do it what) also tell me what the error says if it says Can't find DLL look for it online... |

Worldedit should get to about 99% loading and crap out. Are you positive A) That your clicking on the protected map. B) You actually are pointing to where mpq2k is inthe mpq2k box. C) Your map has triggers other then melee intilization. |

Guest | I have done as you said, but whenever I try to load the mpq2k itself or use your program it comes up a message saying "blah" and then it only creates a copy. The message I am getting in the dos prompt is "Fatal Error: LMPQAPI.DLL did not initialize properly Starcraft or Brood War 1.07 must be properly installed before running MPQ2K" This means that I have to have starcraft installed to use your program or that there is alot of mpq2k out there with the same name only different versions ?? I only found the starcraft one wherever i looked, I also didnt find anything on war3pub!! Please help! Please post a link to the correct mpq2k! |

Would it be too much to ask for someone to link to a proper and working mpq2k? If someone wants to email me one I'll do it myself. [email protected] |
