Well, there's a Blood Elf Mage, a Spell Breaker, etc. (partially) on that screen. What do you think? :D |

I like tomatos better... That one looks like an transvestite because of the model... But the SKIN itself looks nice, not just on that model! ^^ |

EDIT: Btw.: I've only made this fella specifically for my Campaign. It was never ment to be an entirely new skin, it's only ment to be at least as good as Blizzard's skins (my quality demands are preety high and even if I find a great skin as such, I'll go and modify it to look good). And the easiest way to achieve this was to simply use Blizzard's skins. The face was taken from Elven Priest, of course, while the armour was added later (it's a modified version of Spellbreaker's armour) as I decied, that this fella will be the Silvermoon Council's personal guard. Anyway, if you are interested in the campaign, go here: http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...threadid=17637 Well, the fella doesn't have any breasts, if that's what you mean. Here's the older version: And a closer shot: |

R u sure u make it all right? Extract image with WC3 image extractor 2, edit it, save as tga, load with image extractor, save as a blp into the correct path (ie. uther skin goes to units\human\uther\uther.blp), then load a otherwise complete map with WinMPQ and add your custom skins, with the correct file path, then you DONT save your map in world editor but just check it in-game? If you do like this then at which point comes the error message? Or WHERE do you even try to look at your skin? |

nice... but the face doesnt really look like it would go with the body. they r different styles. the face looks more cartoon-ish or anime type. and the body just looks normal. |

i know this aint the place to ask this, but it seems like a good active forum for it. After you extract the image, and open it with photoshop do you just edit the broken up picture with his head and body in different places, and then the viewer automatically pieces them toghther, just a question, im a skin newb so explain in a newb way please |
| 06-05-2003, 03:09 AM | #43 |
Yes, model knows where the head for example must be, so you only must to edit the skin, like it is. |

ok thx gulldarek, but i got one more question, after i made the skin with my photo editor, and it is in TGA form with all the pieces mixed up, how do you show them put toghther in the warcraft viewer program, i finshed the skin and want to put it toghther to view it, could u explain that plz |

You have to open Image Extractor II , load the .tga file and save it as .blp. Then just copy the skin (that has to have the same name as the original one, or you'll have to modify the model!) into the directory with the same path as the one in mpq file. I hope this makes sense. For example: - you changed High Elf Archer skin. - Open Image Extractor, open Highelfarcher.tga, then save the file as highelfarcher.blp. - Put highelfarcher.blp into this exact directory: (warcraft3 path)\units\creeps\highelfarcher\ Load Worldedit and High Elven Archer will have a new skin. To put the skin into the game itself, you'll have to open your map and/or war3patch.mpq and add the skin in much the same manner. EDIT: By the way, Bobby, would you be willing to share this model (say, for my campaign)? :) |
