@BlacKDicK Your optimizer is great... it has just 1 major bug which renders it useless for me. "w3m" files inside an MPQ have to be uncompressed... never every compress them!! If you can change your optimizer that it lets the w3m files uncompressed and optimizes the rest its perfect Greets Darky26 |

Where on EARTH did this program get its name? Shouldn't it be called Slimfast: MPQ Edition, or something? |

Think of it like this, the mpq is heavier at a point because it is more packed and the mpq is locked because it is a one of a kind program or maybe even because the map locking feature. That's my interpretation. |

Lol, it comes from HeavyCompression + MapLocker. |

Version 0.1.4 (06/02/2003) - Now if ZLIB is "ON" WAVEs also go compressed using ZLIB, otherwise they go using STANDARD WAVE compression. - W3M and W3X inside MPQs now always go uncompressed. - Allowed the user to select wich MAP OPTMIZATIONS will be used. - Allowed the use the select if the new MPQ will keep the original table-size. - Cleaned up the code a lot and fixed some small things. |

I get this error with your latest release: when I use a CameraMask. The CameraMask is in my mpq, I have tried with a buffer level of 11 and 7. |

This doesn't happen whith my map but with my modded mpq. I didn't have the map optimization or map locking checked. With your previous version it worked well. |

Version 0.1.5 (06/06/2003) - Fixed a problem that was causing W3 maps to get corrupt. - Fixed another problem that was causing some WE defined "cameras" to get ignored. - Removed COMMON DIALOG. Now this program only requires the Visual Basic 6 runtime (MSVBVM60.dll) and the ShadowFlare MPQ API (SFMpq.dll). Quote:
This fixed now, it was a bug that was causing MAPs to get corrupt. Sorry, but as I said I´m cleaning up some things and I erased just a small line of the code and this bug came up. Quote:
This was due the same issue above. Quote:
I´m not sure what is this "Camera Bug". I indeed fixed a small issue with cameras with this new version, but I´m not sure if that was the real problem or it was also caused due to the Corruption bug. Try the new version and say if this camera problem is still there. If it is there, please answer some questions bellow, as I am 100% noob with this "CameraMask" stuff. :ggani: 1) What is a "CameraMask"?? This may sound noobish but my tool work with "files", not with "Cameras". 2) This is only added to MAPS or can also be added to MPQs? 3) Is it just "another camera" that you create with the WE or is it a special BLP or something else that you add to the MAP and then set as a "Camera Background" or something like this? |
| 06-06-2003, 08:48 AM | #45 |
CameraMask is a BLP used as background. I don't know if it works in a map but for sure in a mpq. I will try your new release when I get home. Edit: Issue fixed, good job BlackDick! :foot: |
