Vul'Methor has just won the "Scared Pheonix-IV so much he shat his pants" award, i wasnt expecting that and i open it up and WHAM, i'm confronted with a giant red blood spattered bezerking demon BEAST, damn that gave me a shock. Brilliant skins, all very nice, keep up the good work and you can put blizzard to shame! |

There is a reason Blizzard didn't make skins like DK you know, and it is not that they can't. :) |

yeah i know theres a reason bliz didnt make skins like that, and i know what the reason is, but DK isnt hampered by those, so he can make massivly detailed extriemly scary skins all he wants :D |

oh I am aware of the major reasons: - Possible Lack of time - The need to be small enough to make the game with a single CD it's just the wrapping that sucks :) |

Actually the main reason is that it requires more cpu to run more detailed things like those higher poly trees, and more depth in skins, they always strive to let games be playable by virtually any computer. Doesnt mean CotN can't do it like this :) It is not like you are lagging down due to your cpu not taking it in multi, but that is what they had to think about. And another reason was the way the WC universe is build, a bit comical, to large units for houses, and the cartoony skins come with it. |

99.99% for scene1 (Cool! 0.01% more to complete!) 55.00% for scene2 |

In my opinion its a much more simple reason: If you use a resolution of about 1024x768 and they units are about 0.5 inch big on your screen, then guess what it would look like, when they use 512x512 textures, with pixel-tiny details. It would look scratchy! U can only use these high-res/ or better said high-detailed textures, if u are doing closeups! DK's textures will look a bitt weird too, if they are too far away. Thats what i think.... |

not really. DK does close ups at times too |

I just finished watching all the CoTN out so far and all I can say is 0_o It was so beautiful, it made me cry :WD: Erhmm, on to more serious things. So, know Luther's body will be reanimated and used by Algor right? If so, can we expect a sweet undead pally skin as good as the other new ones? :gsmile: |

Actually those trees significantly help your framerates. When scaled up to around 2.0 or above you only need about 1-2/3 as many trees as you would with regular trees. So instead of having around 3000 tree doodads, you only have 1000-1400 or so. |
