Arcanister
Mystic Hero, adept at damaging enemies with elemental spells. Can learn Discharge, Elemental Rage, Frost Wave and Flame Spike.
Looks: Archmage/Bloodmage

Discharge
Button Image: Chain Lightning
Tooltip: "creates a static field at a target point, forcing a discharge at the unlucky target."
Effect: Deals damage to a single target.
Does more damage for each skill point added.

Frost Wave (passive)
Button Image: Frost Nova
Tooltip: "periodically launches waves of frost, slowing and crippling nearby enemies."
Effect: Aura that slows and reduces armor on nearby enemies.
Effects increases with each skill point added.

Elemental Rage
Button Image: Soul Gem
Tooltip: "By extracting elemental power from his/her surroundings, the Arcanister is able to add elemental force to his attacks."
Effect: Each time the caster attacks, a random orb element (33 % chance to purge target, splash damage, slowing attack) is added to that attack. Lasts X seconds.
Lasts longer for each skill point added.

Flame Spike (ultimate)
Button Image: Flame Strike
Tooltip: "Dragging forth magma from deep underground, the Arcanister releases a spike of molten rock to burn whoever happens to be around."
Effect: Creates a fiery spike at the target location, dealing damage to nearby units and setting them on fire. Units that are set on fire will panic and run around aimlessly. They will also take damage over time.

Note: I havn't given any numbers because I don't know what sort of balance your aiming for.

Item: Fire stone.

Heats up when you go near a cold hero creep and gives you a bonus (extra damage maybe?). but prevents you from going into any cold areas in the map.

You could switch around the elements(Fire, cold, undead, nature etc.) depending on what the rest of your map is like.

Item: Orb of beestings.

Slows the hero being attacked right down but give beserk atttack speed.

Hero: Prophet.

This hero can pray to various gods. It's up to you as to which gods you choose but here are some sample abilities

Prayer to Lathander: Creates an aura of life that slows any undead in the area

Prayer to Mystra: Gives a mana boost (perhapes a tempory maximum mana boost if possible?)

Prayer to Talos: Causes a storm to happen allflicting one or multiple units

(Ultimate) Prayer to Ao: Ao banishes the other team. I don't have specifics on your map but perhapes you could banish them to creep or quest areas. This should have either a short duration (a couple of minutes) and a long cooldown(long enough so it's only used once or twice in a long game) or it should be single use.

The spells are kind of boring. The banish spell would reeeaaally suck for all other 3 teams. It wouldn't add anything to gameplay.
But I like the idea of "praying" to gods, and I just thought of the idea to have him pray for 5-10 sec and then unleashing a much more powerfull spell then all other heros have.

This would make him vaunrable while praying, reduced armor, not attacking anyone, and basicly an easy target for the enemy, but when the spell is done "praying", you better watch out.
Could be, because of this, a very skillfull hero to play with.

I still need a whole loot of hero ideas! Just bring out your creativity and think up whatever, it doesn't matter what it is!
Just make heros, randomness spells, whatever! Come on people!

Maybe you could have the banish spell move the teams apart or draw all the enemy heros to the priest.

You could have a devourer hero that has variations on canibalise, eat tree and devour (Maybe he could 'eat' and transport friendly units as his ultimate)

You could have a guardian hero that has spells that raise armor class and summon cannon fodder. Possibly something like a mass speed boost for an ultimate.

You could have a spell that gives the target the ability wander. The spell could either be confusion or itchy

You could have a Ghost/God hero that is permenently etheral with team mate helping spells except for his ultimate which is a powerful non-etheral form.

You could have some sort of holy man hero who has high AC and can fight back without an attack (Thorns Aura and direct damage spells)

You could have an assasin hero that can switch between long range sniping (high damage, high cooldown) and short range backstap (invis, poison etc.)

You could have a bard hero that has various songs he can sing (If temporary auras and possible you can do that otherwise you'll have to add/take away an aura ability). The songs could boost attack, boost armor, make nearby heros Etheral, slow down enemies, call down spirits or regenerate health/mana

Thats all I can think of for now, Say if you've got any complaints about them or want more.

Sorry, D-I, I'm not really working on your project for you. :Heh: From your post, it looks like you have a solid idea what you need to do with it to make it a reasonable hero concept. Run with it.

ULTIMATE: Prismatic Bomb (Ideal for any elementalist)

Using the powers of the elements, the hero sets up a bomb. When any unit steps near the bomb will activate a timer of 5 seconds. Once it is up, it explodes. The middle of the bomb will be a frost nova, and around that will be a fire. The lightning surrounds the whole explosion, and a 5 random tornados will run wild. The whole bomb explosion stays for 5 seconds.

[30]Frost Nova: 300 instant damage
Fire: 75 damage per second
Lightning ring: 120 damage per second
Tornado (lasts 10 seconds): 150 damage per second

The old forums for STFU Arena is now officialy forever lost.
The new forums will be up in the future at www.warcraft3gathering.com/forums but there is not really much to look at for now.

Panto, yes I do have a solid, rock hard, idea for the map.
What I need is innovative thoughts to implent, on top of the already existing basic concept.
Mostly spells and items ideas. I don't really have time to sit and think up ideas myself.

However, I will have about 7 days to do ALL triggers. Yes, ALL.
And I will need all ideas in about 2 weeks, so I can begin work.

Please BRING ME MORE IDEAS! WHATEVER THE * YOU MIGHT HAVE IN MIND, BRING IT!! !

Tornado Wall

The hero that uses this skill will become a tornado. When that happens, no ranged unit can fire pass the tornado, and any units that come in contact with the tornado takes damage per second. The hero cannot attack and cannot be attacked while in this form. It also can't move. It lasts until the hero deactivates. However, the hero is NOT invulnerable!

Cooldown: 0
Mana: 100 to activate


[1]LEVEL 1: Very small area of effect, 10 damage per second, 20 mana per second

[3]LEVEL 2: Very small area, 15 damage per second, 18 mana per second

[5]LEVEL 3: Small area, 20 damage per second, 16 mana per second

[7]LEVEL 4: Small area, 25 damage per second, 14 mana per second

[9]LEVEL 5: Medium area, 30 damage per second, 12 mana per second

[11]LEVEL 6: Medium area, 40 damage per second, 10 mana per second

[13]LEVEL 7: Large area, 50 damage per second, 8 mana per second

[15]LEVEL 8: Large area, 60 damage per second, 6 mana per second

[17]LEVEL 9: Very large area, 70 damage per second, 4 mana per second

[19]LEVEL 10: Very large area, 120 damage per second, 2 mana per second

[21]LEVEL 11: A huge area of effect, 200 damage per second, 0 mana

Infinity Blast ULTIMATE

The hero suicides itself and go for channeling (invulnerable in this form) for 10 seconds. Within a 3000 radius of effect and the end of 10 seconds, all units take massive damage. The hero gets experience from these kills, and ally units get hurt too. After the experience gain, the hero dies.

Cooldown: 270 seconds

[15]LEVEL 1: 1000 damage

[30]LEVEL 2: 2000 damage

[50]LEVEL 3: All units die

OH MY GOD. Those are ****ing beautiful!
Could you explain more on the tornado though?
I do not know of any way you can make the Hero block any ranged attacks that goes "trough" him.
I also do not understand the behaviour with "Not invanurable". Do you need him to be effected by spells but not attacks nor attacking himself?

Side Note: You guys are lazy with ideas. Come on :P

Here's my hero idea! It would be undead.

Ghost Of The Nether

Model: One of those new shade-like creeps

ABILITIES

Spirit Orbs- An ability where orbs circle around the hero, occasionally flying off , hitting a nearby enemy, and coming back. Drains mana while casting. Could have more damage every level, more range every level, or more orbs every level. (As any paranormal enthusiast would know, orbs that show up on photographs are believed to be spirits)

Haunt- Makes the target so scared that it has a chance to miss or do less damage in a hit. Every level would last longer.

Possess- Takes control of a target unit for a short amount of time. Every level would have longer time.

Ouija Ward- creates a ward that summons ghosts (Again, more new shade-like creeps) until time's up or it's destroyed.

With a lot of polisching, and working out how to do the "orbs" (Since there is no perfect ability for it) that hero could be superb. It's so nice I think I'll go with it...

I have also decided to put EVERYONE who gives an idea which I USE IN SOME WAY in the map credits. On one or more areas.

I am also back from my first one week vacation. Please give me more ideas.
