I always liked the facing off against one hero. I liked the idea that the battle was so huge there were personal vendettas going on on other parts of the map that had nothing to do with me. I also liked being able to get away from certain heroes if I so chose. |

I have a REALLY great idea for a system where two players are merchants and have to compete to sell players items. The two players don't belong to either team, and are allied with everyone. Whichever of the merchants makes the most money by the time the game ends wins. They can buy market locations to build their shops, the cheaper ones in more out-of-the-way areas, and the expensive ones in busy areas. They buy shops that sell dull items at first, but can upgrade and buy more shops. The most expensive ones would have super items that would sell well. Every marketplace would have a certain amount of space for shops, and the larger ones could cost lot. The shop owners have to pay a 25% charge to restock their sold-out items and could buy a large stock of the most popular ones. Super expensive shops could sell things like orbs or tomes. I think that this system could be a LOT of fun, and I know I'd like to play as a merchant! Tell me what you think! |

If all goes well, the map will be ready for beta testing in about 2 weeks. I still have skills to make, and a lot of minor stuff needs done. I know what you're saying about seeing the same hero every game. It seemed like I always got stuck fighting against a Stealth Assassin when I went down the right path with my Tormented Soul. Either that or I'd be against a Sniper, which is NOT FUN for a Tormented Soul. Sniper >>> TS. DarkMonkey: that's a very interesting idea, but I don't see it fitting the theme of this map. |

Maldazzar's first none: Uses 100 of his life to deal 100 damage to target enemy. Uses 300 of his life to deal 350 damage to target enemy. Uses 500 life to deal 600 damage to target enemy. It goes up +200 life used (from previous) to deal +250 life from previous And 2nd none should be something that would attract people. Since you said something that would make his role as a tank. Make it attract 5 nearby enemies to him per level. |

I love playing roleplay type characters. I mean like they have abilities that doesn't exactly hurt the enemies/heroes directly but in a way that it makes them mad. I love the rogue for my map that i created. -He has the backstab ability (which he becomes invisible and walks slower than usual but he does backstab damage to his next target); -pickpocket (which means what it means: he attempts to steal gold from enemy heroes which is so fun because its different than a regular direct damage attack); and -bandit aggression (basically like metamorph but to a form that is better used to actually fight in the war). -ultimate ( was something like he splits into assassin and thief ) which assassin has a minor version of back stab and thief has minor version of pick pocket. I love seeing them run around wrecking havoc. Sorry for messy typing. I don't use formats... Do i? >.< <Yes, Yes - Rogue is my favorite hero on C Wars.> ^_^ |

Hey again Ak47_Type_R! The hero arena was a bit much... so I gave up on it, now I am going to try a minor project (simple battle.net map, maybe some mini-game one, or a very well done Tree Tag maybe? I'm confused, I want to stay away from AoS / Hero arena maps though) to hone my skills for my would-be campaign I might do.. still not sure, I have thought about it alot though. :) Anyway, this time when we played, Zoi was the Hibol.. err.. I'll just call her the Ice Mage, anyway, he was the Ice Mage, and I chose the Maiden of Sorrow / Succubus type character, both of which were ment to be offensive casters. Zoi dazzled me with his awesome looking (and deadly!) Frozen Orb spell, which resembles it's Diablo 2 counterpart very closely, though perhaps a bit more elaborate. I was also impressed by the unique animations for Frost Assault, the Ice Mage's nuking type of spell. Her aura was kind of unnoticable (I might recommend the mana siphon target or caster gfx attached to origin for a more noticable look, maybe, Zoi?), but it is a good thing she only had two attacking spells, because the ones she had really hurt, and she fuffilled her role very well as an offensive caster. I will also say this: Do NOT be the only person around when she is past level 6 and uses Shiva's Passion, you will probably die >.< My character had a pretty generic splash nuking spell, Explosion, which Zoi commented that he might consider changing. She also had a shorter duration / higher draining version of life drain, which wasn't too exciting, but it was fun and kept me alive most of the time. My other two skills were a higher damaging version of Shadow Strike called Poison Sting, which was also close range to compensate, but it kept Zoi on edge most of the time. :) My ultimate, Defile, had some very nice constant rippling effects which made the terrain seem like water beneath me as I cast it, which was very impressive on Zoi's part. This character might undergo a few minor changes, as I suggested a few to Zoi, so we will see :) All in all, some of the Maiden of Sorrow's skills make her get a little closer to the actual combat than one might like, but her skills do yield high results over time (except for her explosion spell, which was instant, but a little too minor for much to be done) though she can last forever with Life Drain and the regular waves of units, in Player to Player combat she will be relying heavily upon either Life Drain or Poison Sting (close range) to leave an impression. I'll try to attack some screenies tomorrow, it's late now, but I will show you some of the Ice Mage's Frozen Orbs, Ice Assaults, the Maiden of Sorrow's Defile, Explosion, and my units tearing into Zoi's base and winning at the end. :) (Dumb luck, Zoi was beating me in all actuality) - Lazurus |

Oh, I fixed the Human towers(they were still set to heavy armor, omg lol). Thanks for pointing that out, Laz. Frozen Orb has a slightly newer look, now that I found out that spell projectiles scale with the caster's size(thought this was just for normal attacks). I changed them to frost bolts instead of crushing wave. The Phantasm no longer has Phase Shift. I created a new spell called Ethereal Assault(couldn't think of a better name). It sends out 2/4/6 direct damage nukes that do 50 damage each, really fast in a row. Total damage is 100/200/300. This should make him a little more offensive. The bad coding in Passion of Shiva(Jaina's Ultimate) has been fixed. It now gets its targets on-the-fly, not at the start of the spell. This makes it so it will not try to frost nova a dead unit. The Bloodlord(Possessed Grom) now has OmniSlash, a skill resembling Cloud's ultimate limit break from FF7. Tried giving the Maldazzar(Naga Royal Guard) a slam skill in which he would throw a unit up in the air(based off Impale). This did not work out so well, especially since I had already edited Impale in UndeadAbilityFunc.txt to use for the Pyromancer's Inferno. Anyways, it looked like crap, so I scrapped it. I may do it with triggers later, but for now, it's a no-go. Bane of the Living will have a stun-nuke based off Storm Bolt. I haven't messed with it yet, but he's getting a stunner. Mannoroth's Blade, an item I made, also got scrapped, after I couldn't get Cleaving Attack to work on an item. If anybody knows if this can be done, please tell me. I also set up a message board over at gamers.com for The Eleventh Hour. The link is in my sig, under Alicia's fine ***. Played a game of ToB in-house. First time in a while. Still same version H. It took like 2 hours to finish the game, but we won. I was Jean, and did alright. Illidan vault cheesing on both sides, but we kept ours up, and then our Illidan countered and killed theirs, after which, the other team left. At least there was no MK cheese. |

I'm just curious Zoi, how long have you been working on this map? and if it is at all possible, i would love to beta test (confidentialy, of course) and i can't host so i wont leak the map cuz im on a router, hehe, o well like you'll believe that... lol my handle is in my sig.. I'm sorry for the lack of ideas but im more of a visionary type thinker than out-of-no-where thinker. i will probably ill be typing ideas in-game more than actually playing it |

I just PM'd you. I'll be on tomorrow from something like 5pm - 5am. I don't have to work, so I'm sure we can play a game or 2, though I really need to work more on this. |

If anybody would like to play a couple of preview games tonight, I'll be hosting some. I'll be in channel Zoi around 7pm Central Time on USEast. There will be a strict agreement not to host this map on battle.net beforehand. I don't care if you play it in single player, but this cannot be distributed unfinished. |

Man I used to digust Aos type because they started to become boring and all the same. But 11H is sounding so (drooling) interesting. I want to play bloodlord because the omnislash is the most awesome move in ff. >.< Maybe I'll make it down there if I'm not bz for your preview. I'd like to help on this map in anyway. Beta test - Anything =) -Lazurus - You need help on any of your projects - Just ask me, I'll help like always. ^_^ |

Yeah, sure, you can beta test if you'd like, AK47. Lol, our post counts are the same. |

It went pretty well, Ak47 and I played a game, then Shvegait showed up with 2 of his friends, Galahaut and Kessler, and we played another one. Ak47 left a little bit after that. Lazarus came on a little later and we played one last game. Ggz guys. It really helps to have multiple people playing to find out stuff you miss yourself. Most of the stuff worked pretty good. I forgot to change a lot of tooltips, so they were always asking me what does what. Found some bugs and other issues I need to fix. My protector spell apparently lags down too much, as Kessler's comp slowed down so much he just gave us control, although I barely felt it, and the others did a lil more than me. This is going to be addressed, and if I can't find a good solution, Alexis will have to get another ultimate. One great thing we discovered was NO DESYNCH!!!!!!!! =) None of the spells lagged, other than Alexis's ultimate, and Ruination(cuz the graphics) to my knowledge. The other players noted that it ran smooth the whole time, up until I cast the protector spell. This is very good news indeed. Overall I think everyone had a good time, and I will try my best to get to a beta version very soon. On a final note, Shvegait and Gala tested the crash trigger out. The trigger is set to crash War3 if it is played with more than 1 person, and I am not in the game. It worked a little too well, as Shvegait said he had to restart his comp afterward. >:) |

Hmm sounds like fun, too bad I am usually at work when you are beta testing :(. |
