Yeah the The Tale of Archos is very good. Close rival of COTN but not quite as good. |

doldrum that is exactly what i was thinking about the benches. i suppose i should have posted that too. woulda been more helpful. but yes i feel that if the benches were the wooden benches it would blend better. the stone seems a bit...out of place. maybe try to add some wooden ones. and maybe add some flowers by the benches too. don't overdo it tho. oh and a good doodad to use for flowers is the seaweed. i know you are thinking i am crazy but place a seaweed doodad and set it to variation zero than put it into a little clump of river rushes(the grass looking one) and it looks just like a flower. and it blows in the wind too. |

When I finish the terrain, I plan to work on triggers and get the movies and stuff together. After doing all of this and of course making spells and stuff, I plan to release one short beta demo then the next thing will be the final map. I'm going to post some screenshots of actual gameplay in a week or so. Plus I'm getting a site together with HTML and JavaScript to make this project a little more interesting. It may take time, but I am in no way planning to ever drop this project like lots of people. :D |

How am I supposed to export the trees from his map if I can't open it? |
| 10-27-2003, 08:23 PM | #37 |
I never had any problems opening it, nor COTN for that matter. Well, how about I post the model here? Here it is. |

I played your old Nahaz RPG with you. :) It was fun. I think it was you anyways. At the end we followed this wizard to get these 4 stones or somthing that turned into a golem? If it was you you're a very talented map maker. You're bosses kicked *** and were very interesting to fight. :) I can't wait for this new edition, your old one ROCKED. It was Beta v6.9. Yes i'm sure it was you now. :) I played the grunt in the game, remember? :O |

i can't wait to see your storyline nahaz. and i was only wondering since he mentioned another map you made is it a remake of that old map or is it the same map but that was a beta. or what. just out of curiostiy. |

Complete remake.of the old one. The old one was my first map and I was never as proud of it as I would like to be, mostly because of some issues that made people leave. Like the beginning... it sucked, and people quit before they got to any of the good parts. The terrain really sucked and was very slapdash. Jiiwan, I probably did play it with you but I forgot. Anyway, I've gotten rid of the old Nahaz now. I consider it a practice run. If you really want the old one you can get it at warcraftiii.net here. As I said, this was my first map and wasn't as good as it could have been, so I'm remaking it. G2g to school in 5 mins, so I'll post the story when I get home today. :gsmile: |
