Hmmm, I don't think the magic defense or defend abilities can be modified to deflect magic. For magic defense, the unit becomes immune to magic, so units with magic attacks won't be able to attack it in the first place, so no deflections. Then with defend, it only works for piercing attacks, and I don't think it allows you to change which type of attacks are deflected. So... :( |

Defend has some options about reflecing magic damage and magic damage taken n stuff. I havnt really looked into it tho. |

Actually, Rabbits Chickens and Racoons weren't even in the .mpq file. The frog was, but now all of them are in the Neutral Passive section, so you can place them instead of having to type in the path on a custom unit everytime. |

does anyone have an updated listfile yet? I would like to have one. |
| 08-16-2004, 02:10 AM | #39 |
Did anyone checked if there is any hidden models, skins or icons again, maybe Blizzard is doing what they done with the Goblin Alchemist. |
| 08-16-2004, 02:21 AM | #40 |
Thus the whole reason i asked to see if anyone had an updated listfile. Seems people r catching on |
| 08-16-2004, 01:33 PM | #41 |
Anyone else think that the voice of the alchemists sounds really amature, like it was done by some kid somewhere? He has the best model ever thouh! It's great, I love the idea of an imprisoned ogre with futuristic blinkers ^^ |

If someone doesn't have the patch, but the units are there, it wouldn't work. THe same effect as if someone with RoC tried to play a TFT map. To get around this, extract the files from the MPQ and import them into the map. Then people can play it without the patch. The Firelord is the single greatest gift Blizzard has ever given me! Finally, a fire elemental! As for new Heroes in the tavern, three of the remaining slots are for instant resurrect of your Heroes. THe remaining slot, well, to quote Linkmaster, "Blizzard's a perfectionist; they wouldn't put one extra Hero in that spot." Argh! Someone else has the same image that was stolen from Blizzard as their avatar! Well, without the word Moderator on the bottom. Oh well; the Firelord rules! [edit] - Anyone ever notice that the frog and the rabbit use the same model? The frog just has a few parts alphad-out... |
| 08-16-2004, 11:41 PM | #43 |
Wrong, I edited the frog to look like a rabbit a long time ago, they simply geoset merged the ears on to the frog Forgive the sloppyness of this post, I've been drinking |

Actually, I think the Alchemist's sounds are fine. They're Blizzardish, but it's different, like every other unit in the game. I noticed that the Firelord's voice sounds like the Firebats from SC kinda. |

So, how long before this patch goes live on b.net? btw, the quick reply button is broken. |
