I was playing with my race's look ^.^. At first I had this idea of a half human half cat look, but it looked so gay. It looked like that cartoon Thunder Cats. So I decide to go with more of human / demon look. Still WIP I might change the idea later on. My race is suppose to be people of nature. These guys don't look nature people =/. I post my written thingy later. I wrote the damn thing down somewhere, but can't find it. ![]() |

Many mining zones can be found underground. Army Tharaii army is universal and all-rounded, thanks to their military training, during which warriors afamiliarize themselves with all weapns Tharaii army use, such as short swords, crossbows, spears and bows, they also learn how to use shield and light and heavy armor. Army is disciplinated and once they go into formation, there is almost no way to break it. Tharaii army can fight in almost any terrain, but they feel best in close, narrow spaces, where their crossbows and short swords are the most deadly. Tharaii use primitive machines, like ballistas, catapults, 'harvesters' - machine with rotating blades and mobile fortifications, which guarantee warriors inside additional defense. Mages and their offensive and defensive spells makes great addition to Tharaii army. Medics and healers reduce death ratio greatly. Though strong, Tharaii are not expansive and prefer peaceful life. They will defend any attack though and launch deadly counterattack. Heroes Past Mik'hael'Rder - Founder of Liga, Thara's capital. He estabilished City of Stone and first Council. Tha'merh'Deu - One of the most powerful mages. He lwas the first to show that magic comes from gods and estabilished mage and priest training program. One of the first Council's members. She invented crossbow that doesn't need to be reloaded after every shot. Member of the Council. Nai'cel'Thar - Council member, one of the best military leaders ever. It is said he would even defeat 1000 people army with group of 10 people. He invented many strange and inovative tactics. Note about names: Name goes like [first part of name]'[house name]'[second part of name], so for example Zee'hen'Ana is Zeeana of Hen house. Race Look and Charateristics Tharaii look almost like humans. They are usually 160-170 cm tall, have a little bigger and also pointy ears than humans', and opalescent spots near ears. Usually pale skinned and dark haired, with blak or brown eyes. They are well build and unusually strong, also have some basic telepathic skills, which most of Tharaii didnt develop enough to use them conscious. They don't like bright sun, but see very well at night and in no-light conditions. Normal Tharaii lives up to 150 years, mages can live up to 480 and look like 40-year old. Pros - Strong and with high endurance, they tire slower than most races - Highly developed night sight - Weak telepathic skills - Good in combat pretty much everywhere except underwater and air combat - Machines have psychological effect on races which don't know them Cons - Can't fly except gliding - Weak telepathic abilities makes them vulnerable to mind attacks and mind magic's effects - Machines tend to break down - Not as effective in bright sun Culture Society Every town is ruled by Governor, Guards and army keeps peace an ordinary people live their eeryday life. They have entertainment like arena fights, beast fights and countless tournaments. In every town there is school and goernor's house, as well as small fort. Main directives are always peace and safety. When people are unhappy, Governor always take action to please them, often with Council's advice. All classes are respected by each other, and equal rights are more than just talk, as people trait othere by their actions, not class. Women can do every thing that men can do. Every Tharaii receives military training, men and women, and they don't hesitate to fight enemy ewhen needed. Also you can often meet philosophers of every kind somwehere near school. Manners/Attitudes Althought Tharaii don't trust strangers they don't know, when they get to know them they can be valuable trading partners and military allies. Loyal and honorable by nature, they will not abandon anyone who need help. They won't interfere in conflicts of forces they don't know and stay neutral. Strangers are not very liked in Tharaii towns, but people wont show any aggressiveness towards them. People from allied kingdoms are traited just like other Tharaii. Tharaii tend to analyse situations rather than let emotions get over, and this may irritate some other races. Tharaii almost never start conflicts. ]Laws Everone have equal rights - that's the main rule of Tharaii codex. Punishment for slavery is death, and Tharaii will never consider any kingdom practicing it allied. Punishment for stealing is cutting hand off. Punishment for murdering is death. Punishments are hash, and jugdes are almost always tained telepaths, co courts don't make mistakes. Strict law system and militia made crime factor so small that crimes are rarity. Religion(s) Gods Erd - goddess of Earth, worshipped everywhere, her color is brown Igni - goddess of Fire, worshipped near volcanos mainly, her color is red Vent - god of Wind, worsghipped in hight mountains mainly, his color is white Maji - god of Water, worshippped near seas and lakes mainly, his color is blue Vau - god of Void, worshipped in Liga, capital of Thara only, his color is black Overal religion(s) Description(s) Religion is important part of every day life. Temples are present in all towns, but different gods are worshipped in diferrent locations. There is always one priest in the Council. While four elements' gods are worshipped by every people, god of Void is worshipped by few mages and priests who can control great powers he provide and dont get corrupted by them. Priests of god have clothes in his/her color, sme with mages. Every mage specialises in element of his god, although most of mages can cast spells of element different than his god. There were only four mages so far who could control Vau's power, one of them is Ome'garth'Ga. Location Environnement Tharaii lives mostly in mountainous areas, with lots of stone to buld their fortresses. They are used to harsh environment and developed many ways to farm on ground considered useless for farming. They drill caves in mountain, surround them with thick walls and builds city inside, often sunlight have access to the town. Vegetation/Animals Although natural vegetables are rare in mountains, Tharaii can plant some own plants. They also can fing some underground mushroom which are not poisonous. Animals are mostly rams and other mountain creatures, as well as some underground predators which tend to habit tunnels mede by Tharaii. Architecture Buildings Look Defensive buildings and some houses lare drilled partially into rock, and look like melted with mountain or cave wall. They architecture resembles Roman, with sharper edges and less round. Houses are usually built deeper in cave, while all public use buildings are build in center. Outer ring is always of defensive military buildings. Well, i ptrobably shouldn't put mages there but i like this magic system. Might get rid of it or change it, but i find it more interesting than standard mage guild/priests conflicts. Drawings will come soon, i'll update this post. |
