Well horus, with skins like that how can we compete!?!? ur to good.. top job man...

As soon as it hits next month ill be right in here skinning with you so keep it up another 5 day for me ;)

my internet explorer wasnt working, sorry. but now hurricane jeanne is on its way to my town (i live in florida), meaning i wont have electricity for i dont know how long, i was out of power for a week and a half after frances. im at a shelter right now, so icant show you the wip of my skin and i probably wont be on my computer for like a week, so if you guys cant extend the deadline i set, im will be forced to withdraw or send my entry in late.

also the_end pmed me and already finished his skin, he will submit it i hope.

A damn may i enter a new one for the dranai one? if so heres mine ah crap i call it doom boy 95% freehand

There were only 2 participants:

The skin was the reverant. I have marked them both out of 100 with a small description.

Flames:
I most of all liked the exelent fade of purple on the robe, closeley followed by the mace's blue holes.
The metalic armour looked a bit rushed in some places. Althought the chestplate had good metalic shine on it, it probobally should have had some sort of design.
Overall, a good effor, and a bit more time could have made this a pretty good sking: I gave it 48 out of 100.

Horus:
Wow. An AMAZING effort from horus here.
The fire effect was amazingly well done and the robe fitted perfectly. the gold guilding on the armour finished it off for an amazing effect. another good thing was the streaks across the shield. my only criticism (Hey, i gotta say SOMETHING bad about it!) is that the headpeice *wings* had a bit too much gold on them.
Overall, breathtaking, exelent job.
I gave it 87 out of 100.

Needless to say, Horus won. Congratulations!

Ok. Well, this is 96% of my new skin for that angeringly big busted NE archer. I will repost a single ingame pic of the FINAL model (collage format) tommorow or later this week. As well as the unwrap and the .blp for any who wish to use it.
I hope this thread comes back to life. Esp by the weekend.

A) Gothic Golemania
B) An Actual theme: Mechanical/Industrial Gothic. If you;ve ever heard of war40k, thats the basic idea. If not, think lots of machinery and dark stuff.
C) Iron Golem (The thing that resembles walking armor, greyish gold original skin) I will post a reference if asked.
D) Ends: Next weekend. Saturday 12:00pm. latest.
E) All contestants rep, incl judge.
F) Slightly Higher Then average level. Be the judge, look thru thread.

hmm...this just occured to me. we could develop something a bit like MC, but lesser. all we'd do is instead of just a "skin" we'd come up with a concept, skin it, make small model edits if we have to (just like, removing particles, extra geosets, etc. nothing big) and skin it. complete with icon, skin, concepts, and spells. i think it'd be cool. how about you?

But yes, can you teach me minor .mdl editing using max 4.2? lol
