Okay now i have managed to create half of the bridge building system. Ingame you press esc and a builder will be selected and the button B will be pressed, then you press for example B to build a bridge, and when the construction starts the button B will be pressed again! :ggani: Though it still got some bugs to be solved... |

Okay, round 2 of the battle with the elements is here. It's an improvement over the first one, but it still needs touching-up. Looking at the water texture this closely for so long has made me notice that even Blizzards textures have the evil 'tiling' issue that comes with using the same pattern repeatedly. Actually, if you put a big enough patch of water and look at it for a few seconds you can see it pretty easily :ggani: . I'm still fiddling with the texture, I've been looking around for some 3rd-party programs (since I don't have 3ds Max anymore, right now) to automate the process, but so far no luck. Anywho... |

Guest | Did you actually reskin all 45 water textures for the sky? |

Guest | Unit pics can be seen @: http://www.geocities.com/thomas_debray/units.html Wee! Sundisk Thrower! I know its not as flat as it should be, but it really looks better I think a bit fatter and taller. Not too bad, eh? BTW, I am aiming for roughly 400-500 polys max for each model. Statistics Name: Sundisc Thrower Polygon count: 300 HP: 400 Range: 8 (600 WC3) Damage: 10 Alliance: Sun Class/Role: Shooter/Basic Defense The Sun Disc Thrower fires in any direction at short range. It is crucial for defense against air attack. A massive rotor arm flings exploding saucers with perfect precision. Also, for stat conversion to WC3 format, lets try for range, its range multiplied by 40. It should be somewhat accurate that way. |

Guest | Unit pics can be seen @: http://www.geocities.com/thomas_debray/units.html Yay, another! This one mgith be a bit tall, I think it will have to be more stubby to be a true Whirligig... hmm, not too sure. BTW, the render makes it seem MUCH more high poly than it really is. Ignore that. Anyways: Statistics Name: Whirligig Polygon count: 376 HP: 25 Range: 0 (Melee WC3) Damage: 10 Alliance: Sun Class/Role: Aerial Attack The Whirligigs fly into enemy territory, wreaking havoc on enemy units from above. Generated by Whirlibases, they go from target to target until something knocks them out of the sky, but they need to refuel once every minute. A Whirligig cannot be used for cargo. |

Guest | Unit pics can be seen @: http://www.geocities.com/thomas_debray/units.html Im on a roll! This one is in two seperate pieces. But, no problem! Anyways, this is is really accurate to the Netstorm one. Statistics Name: Whirlibase Polygon count: 336 HP: 200 Range: 30 (1200 WC3) Damage: Makes Whirligigs Alliance: Sun Class/Role: Air Attack Base The Whirlibase builds and refuels Whirligigs--airborne attackers. If you destroy it, its Whirligig will have no place to refuel. Each time a Whirligig is destroyed, its home base will make a new one. Note: Nothing can ever be targeted by more than three Aerial Attackers at once. |

Wow Random those look fantastic. Great work. And as for your question: I actually reskin about 10 of them, then test them out in world edit to see how they look. When I finally get it the way I want I'll just skin the rest. |

Guest | cool! Thanks for the comments BTW! We will have to find someelse to unwrap them, then we can skin em! I hope this all works! |

Guest | Unit pics can be seen @: http://www.geocities.com/thomas_debray/units.html OK, before the remarks, first of all, most of the detail will be done with the skin. Also, there should be trees around it, but we will use doodads for that to help the poly count. Statistics Name: Sun Workshop Polygon count: 417 HP: 2000 Range: 0 (0 WC3) Damage: 0 Alliance: Sun Class/Role: Production Workshops build your units for battle. You'll build Workshops in battle to construct combat units based on the Knowledge that you've gained from Sacrificing High Priests. This Knowledge carries over from battle to battle so that your diversity and power of units can increase over time. Each Workshop can build only a few units so choose carefully! When a Workshop creates a unit, a Storm Power Stream streaks from the Workshop to the build site. When it combines with the proper Energy the unit will be created on the spot. |

Guest | Unit pics can be seen @: http://www.geocities.com/thomas_debray/units.html Alright, this one is kinda neat. Check it out. Statistics Name: Balloon Polygon count: 228 HP: 50 Range: 0 (0 WC3) Damage: 0 Alliance: Sun Class/Role: Aerial Transport The Balloon is an Aereal Transport ideal for gathering Storm Power, for capturing High Priests, and for collecting and casting Spells. Because the Balloon is airborne, it doensn't need bridges to move around, but be careful: a few enemy hits will pop it like a soap bubble. |

Guest | Unit pics can be seen @: http://www.geocities.com/thomas_debray/units.html The shape on the top tok a while to get done... Statistics Name: Man o' War Pool Polygon count: 248 HP: 200 Range: 28 (1120 WC3) Damage: 0 Alliance: Rain Class/Role: Air Attack Base The Man o' War Pool cranks out Man o'War -- aerial attackers. Each time a Man o' War is destroyed, its home Pool will make a new one. Basically like a whirligig base. |
