Tauren Race

Don't even have to have the goblins involved like that, really.
They could be enemies with the tauren, and during an interlude, just show one of the goblins mentioning the artifact to one of the satyrs casually, perhaps making a remark on how expensive it is.

The satyrs, now informed of the Earthborne's Totem, move against the tauren and steal it. Perhaps the last goblin mission could be helping the Satyrs steal the artifact (For a hefty fee, of course).

thats ofcourse also an idea...

I don't think the goblins should be tauren enemies, either. (Nor allies) The goblins are a mini-part of the horde, you know. Really, I think goblins are sort of ambivolent.

I think that the goblin campaign really shouldn't tie in very much with the whole story. I think really their campaign should just be there for fun, for their own little reasons. (For we certainly aren't cutting out the goblins)

Kindof like the orc campaign in ROC. It has very little to do with the overall storyline. Really, the only thing they do in there is meet the oracle and join up with the other races. The entire remainder of the campaign is their own story, about their troubles. This is how I think it should be with the goblins. They should be involved in two main ways, but otherwise, be alone.

1. I think they should meet Hal's party and perhaps make some trade with them.

2. I think they should mention to the satyrs of the power and expense of the Earthborn's Totem. (Not meaning harm in any way, just admiring it vocally for its sheer niceness)

Other than that, I think their campaign should be just them.

And yes, this ought to be a pretty cool model.

skip my whole idea and make a new 1!!
make it a campaign were u have to trade in all parts of the world, and in the last parts of the campaign, u happen to come across the satyrs.
U can travel with supplies to the lorderon survivors, and from there u trave to kaz modan for buy gems from thye dwarves, after that a group of dragons asaulted u and destroyed all the lumber u had bought from a lumbermill along the road. when it turns out that the dwarves had moved, u nearly starts crying! from there u travel to kul tiras gets a ship and travels to durotar, here they establish a trade colony on the borders of a tauren tribe, here u meets hal on his way back home. he tells about the artefact, on the next mission, u travel to ashenvale to make buissnies with the satyrs.
and well, u know the rest...

Two main things I like about your idea, frost... (After deciphering the amazing grammar abomination that your post was)

1. Khaz Modan!

2. The whole idea that you're trying to get stuff to people, but have to deal with all sorts of enemies along the way. Not rain nor snow nor sleet nor hail can stop the goblin delivery service! Maybe the tauren...

It would be awesome if the Earthborne's Totem is somewhere in stonetalon peak, where the Druids of the Claw live. Mostly I'd like that, because it would be oh-so-very-much-fun to slaughter night elves. I hate night elves with a passion.

Of course, the trials of the Earth Mother have to be very cool, involving puzzles, quizzes, and so forth.

(Rewards for optional quests in previous missions can be the answers to the quiz questions; otherwise you must use the internet to find the answer!)

Now.... I have finished all four tauren heroes. I can begin one of two things...

A. Tauren unit spells (IE, casters)
B. Improving hero spell functionality

Any preference?

The druids do not live in Stonetalon peak, do they? I thought that was the oracle's place of rest?

Anyway, I feel we ought not slaughter night elves as the tauren. I read an unfortunate bit of lore in that RPG book that the tauren hold the night elves in very high regard. I'd really rather not go against Blizzard material.

Quizzes should fit the context, though, Bhav. No like 'What is the common name for the order Stomatopoda'. Why would the Earth Mother ask that?

I think that's more like the campaign I have in mind, Frostigt. I think a few missions on Lordaeron about picking up the pieces of their guilds and moving to Kalimdor, then a few delivery/etc missions in Kalimdor. (remember, Khaz Modan is slain. The remainder of the dwarvish race are in the mountains of western Kalimdor, searching for any truth in the rumor of their origin. (Read that in the RPG book too))

By 'improve hero spell functionality' what do you mean, Bhav? Really, I think you should keep making up spells and replacing the boring hero spells with them, as well as finding out how to improve the ones you have. The hero spells are important. The unit spells will be much easier. Do what you want, though.

Just because it is empty doesn't mean you can't go to Khaz Modan... You're right about the druids... I forgot. I want to kill elves... *sniff*...

There are only a few spells I think should be changed, really... I'll get on those tonight.

I'm sorry. I couldn't hack my way through the grammatical abomination. I didn't understand what you were saying.

Ok... replaced the Earth mother's Bastion on the Thaumaturge with Ghosts of the Past.

Ghosts of the Past- Causes a target's ancestors to haunt him. They fly around him in circles, healing his enemies. When the time expires, they return to his body and deal massive damage, based on the amount of healing they did.

(Targettable, reverse locust swarm, sort of.)

Cool and somewhat funny thing: When we transfer all of my spell triggers from map to map, I can do it all at once.

This will mean 100-200 triggers in a row under a single category. Will look quite unorganized.

Updated map!

This time, most of the icons are included. Also, the Thaumaturge has new spells.

Divine intervention is changed; doesn't work the same way... Ghosts of the Past is just cool.

Very nice, Bhav. I like ghosts and the new divine intervention a lot.

Oh, and great job on the icons, guys. We need disabled versions and icons for the others! Let's move move move!

Workin' on the thaumaturge model. Got hero glow on and am now animating. (Kept having troubles with animation, but I think I've overcome them now)
