lol, ill go fix up the ancestral thingy, and make some for the others and I think that fissure should have a slightly shorter cool down, I know its powerful, but its still a LONG time to wait for it And the icons for fissure and volcano look too real, gotta make them more cartoonish, lemme see what I can do about that |

What do you mean by you'll go fix the ancestral thing? I like the icons for Fissure and Volcano. (Volcano especially.) I shall now speak of one of my ideas for a tauren caster... Soul Messenger The Soul Messengers are essentially another version of the spirit walker. They are tauren based on druidic magic and souls. Spells: 1. Regrowth *Autocast* - Restores the life to a fallen tree, allowing it to slowly regrow. 20 mana , 20 second cooldown 2. Rectify - (Requires Adept training) - Saves the souls of nearby fallen units, granting health and mana to nearby living allies. The more corpses that are in the area, the greater the health and mana restored. 100 mana , 30 second colldown 3. Sinew - (Requires Master training) *Autocast* - Delivers a magical buff to a target allied unit, granting them increased damage and a splash attack for 45 seconds. 80 mana , 15 second cooldown Anyway... There's an idea. By the way, I don't know if you've seen Electromancer's new announcement, but I've already taken care of our application. (Had more to send this time. i got oneproblem with it, u know fissure or .... u know.... that whirlwind thingie... anyway, if u targets a lot of units and there is a fire in the middle, all of the units get "un-targeted". If u could make them neutral or something, it would be much easier. |

theres a problem with the abilities that spawn units that you cant select, you can select them for a second which ****s up ure selecting groups. I suggest you remove the shadows from the dust devils and fireballs, change the model for the rocks into the destructable rock so it has a death anim and give all units that arnt suppost to be selectable the Unknown (Aloc) ability as this makes them unselectable. Oh yeah, instead of giving the dust devils a modified immolation, give them an edited building damage aura and change the targets so it hits units as well as buildings, this makes sure that enemies that walk thru the dust devils dont catch fire... |

i thought of a seond sige unit for the tauren: the tauren torch bearer he is a tauren that holds a torch in his hand, and he sets buildings on fire, he is weak against everything else though. oh and tijil, when exactly do you use the regrowth abillity with a caster? |

helpful so that you dont have to get another spot to mine lumber also can be used to regrow enemy trees, blocking in workers getting wood, and maybe buildings that have been built on chopped trees. Could be helpful to destroy buildings as it doesit, very powerful |

k, oh and on one map in the campaign, you should have to use it to defend the villege, i mean like, the trees are in the way for attacking forces. |

I'll get to work on those spells this evening. Thanks for the ability code. I didn't know that made the units unselectable. I'll get rid of shadows. Also, for some reason, the destructable rock does not work when I enter the path. TiJiL will make us a custom rock, I'm sure, with several different forms, so I can use a 'randomizer' trigger. As for immolation, that shouldn't be a problem, soon enough. It is rumored that blizzard is releasing a Buff editor with the next patch. Even if they don't, we can just .slk edit and remove all buffs, then use triggers to make buff-like effects. |

Well, it's important to remember, as Bhav said, that most of the effects he's using so far will be replaced by custom ones courtesy of myself. (And any other modelers we can get) I can't really get anything done tonight. Got to go to a ***** orchestra practice. (I also disapprove of cussing, but trust me, that warrants it) Yes, Regrowth is designed for an economic bonus. Perhaps it can have another use, too. Not sure. Anyway, the tauren will have slow workers and high costs, so their economy is generally one of their weak points. Thus, it's a good idea to help their economy in places with things like that spell. I do not have MSN or AIM, but I would be happy to help you learn to model. (Got 3dsmax 4?) Thanks for the praise. I'm actually taking a long time with this thaumaturge model, as I'm learning how to do it with the art tools. Finally, a slightly updated picture of the thaumaturge! (Next post) |
