One reply up. :) I've been quite busy lately and didn't have much time to write here, so I just want to state that the project is progressing nicely. Right now I'm animating a whole bunch of units, so I don't have much to show you. The Eagle Rider has become a heavy air unit of Quel'Thalas, while the Trolls have been given Zul'jin's Guard, a high punch special forces of Zul'Aman (Troll home). The third unit under making is a model for both CaQT and HoS (sorry it's taking so long, Rommel, I had problems with the cape, but that thing will be done soon). The rest of the models in concept versions are Wood Elf buildings wich still need animating and skinning. Well, that's about it for now, have fun. |

hmm I know what model you're doing for Rommel as it's actually for one of my characters, Haralla Wispwalker. And sounds cool Tufy, and the screenies look great as well but what's that burning Infernal meteor I see before me :O |

That Sorceress/Mage model's for you? And the circle once again closes... :) The meteor is there for cinematic reasons. Something bad will happen. Something very bad ;) Anyway, I've been thinking of putting bad humans into the game as part of the bad forces, but Azeroth simply has no room for such an "infidel" race. Oh, if I could only have those Oliphonts! :ggani: |

1.good you havent been eaten by a big shark or stomped on the way into the cinema! 2.its very simple to put in oliphaunts! do you know whats south of strangelthorne vale? i dont. just add the smal kontinent of blahblahblah there you can put what ever you want! say the burning legion did the same thing as they did to the orcs to the humans but they didnt become so powerfull, so they used ner'zul instead. 3.What of teh when did you mention the map i mentioned that you had mentioned!?!? |

1. Nope, no water in between me and the cinema. And I was in a car so that huge Monster didn't stomp on me :) 2. Actually, I was thinking east of Quel'Thalas/Zul'Aman, but... Perhaps they should simply be bad, but powerful pirates :) 3. The map that you are mentioning I have mentioned that you have mentioned that I have mentioned was first mentioned exactly eight posts above this one. Phew. |

Haralla was a character from that Elven mod of mine I mentioned before which had cross-overs with Heart of Storms, my mod's no longer in production but Haralla appears in Heart of Storms so thereby it's one of my characters :D |

Yes, I do, but, respectfully, you should ask this via PM, as it really has nothing to do with CaQT. |

If anyone has read The Wheel of Time Series, there is a race of humans called the Aiel, they are very warlike and i have suggested them to the project, The War Of Zul'Aman. BTW please redo these guys a good amount if you do decide to use them, just so they arent too much like the Aiel from the wheel of time. They are basically tan warrios who refuse to use swords, and only use (short) spears, knives and bows/arrows. The viel them selves before killing(so a vield warrior would look great) and well here is what i wrote for war of sul aman Humans, These humans were loyalists to the death knight Arthas, and the leader Teleron Shablid. His Grand Father was once one of the semi-major warlords of Western of present (well warcraft present) Lordaron. Before the king of Lordaron took over the "savage" war like clans, Seaviln Shablid (Telerons Grand Father) made an agreement to help the king of Lordaron as long as once the king defeated the otehr clans Seavlin was granted the ranking of a noble and was given a good amount of western Lordaron to govern. They agreed upon it all and Seavlin became a noble, he later died from a poisoning by another noble. Luckily his wife had recently given birth to a son, who governed western lordaron. His greed later took over, he broke of from lordaron during the orc wars and moved his armies and himself, and much of his people to a futher western land. Soon after the first orc war, he passed away of old age, already with a seven year old soon, who ruled furing the events of warcraft 2, tho they rarely saw an orc. Then the events of warcraft 3 came , and after a while Teleron feared the scourge may take his country sohe decided to unite with Lordaron, even though he hated them. Upon his arrival he found that the undead controlled lordaron. Realizing that the humans of lordaron must all be dead, he hoped to join forces with the undead. He soon learns of Arthas's rule and decides to join Arthas's army. He brings a select few hundred men with him to train with Arthas to become master swordsmen. A bit before lordaron is taken by the dreadlords, he sends word to bring all of his armies to Lordaron so they can be of use for Arthas. But when Arthas flees Lordaron to escape the wrath of the dreadlords, Teleron sneaks off to meet his armies and replan. And patrick i think you can control the story from here. BTW for Teleron model/skin PLEASE do not use Arthas model. I think a very tan 25 year old that looks like he has seen many wars and fought to. Not to muscular though. And the soldiers would look much like the Aielmen from the book The Wheel of Time. If you dont know what im talking about, then think of what the arcehrs that ride on the giant elephants in LOTR look like. Feel free to edit this sas much as you like! Here is a pic, NOT DONE BY ME. Wish i could share my art, but got no scanner. The first one is kind of what i picture an aiel as, but the second one is better. But the second one with 2 men, the one on the left is a pic of an aiel, and that is the type of humans i think we should have. They would use short spears and short sword in this, and also, like the Aiel in The Wheel Of Time. Have a buckler on one of their arms. (a buckler is a small round wooden sheild attactched to the arm). adhesive has attached this image: |

Every custom model in this thread excites me. I know I'll probably never see such files available for use, but regardless, I'd be happy to help skin some of the units if you require such. PM if you need any help. |

Here's a shot of the latest Wood Elf Farm (and, in my opinion, the best-looking one to date). The skin needs a bit work (the house needs to be wooden with windows and stuff), but you get the point. |
| 01-22-2004, 04:14 PM | #552 |
I think it looks good, but, well, a little round...., and i can see any windows, dosent high elves like such things? |
| 01-22-2004, 08:31 PM | #553 |
... He said it still needs windows. Although I'd have to agree it's too round... kinda looks like a jelly jar emote_sweat The "horns" seem a bit too big, the roof doens't cover the sides of the building (in fact, the building bulges out) and the lion on the door needs replaced with something more Elf-ish. Lastly, the straw on top of the doors seems a bit out of place to me. Other than that, very good job... I like the unique shape and the designs on the wall. :D |

Well, that was the whole point. I wanted it to be a little "pot-like". With Treetop houses out of the action (at least in base-form), I wanted to give the Wood Elves some kind of unique farm. Well, it's only one of possible forms, so... Quote:
The door, just like the rest of the building is supposed to be wooden once done (Wood Elves only use wood for construction of buildings, no stones, steel or similar). The horns... well, they are there because the building seemed a little plain without any such add-on. Perhaps I'll go with the second form after all... |

I dont realy see the improtance of disscus the roundness of wood elf farms... And how about that website Tufy? have you got something to work? Now go and make me an über campaign! |
