He wanted to explain that trees don't have the same texture all the time. On different tilesets the textures are different. Additionally a blighted tree has also another texture. This program is a generic MDX viewer, that reads the texture reference from the model (MDX). If there is no such reference, it can't load it obviously. |

Hey, I'm just confused... I know how to view the regular skins, but I don't know how to look at my own skins. Sure...I can open up my .blp but it's just the blp not wrapped around the skin. Also, when I look at the "Local Drives", there is only A, D, E, F. It doesn't show a C drive, but thats where all my stuff is! How do I view my custom skin with this program? Thanks |

About the local drives thing uhh that's really weird. To preview your own skins, just convert it to blp, and put it into your Warcraft III dir, inside the correspondent folder (creating them if needed). E.g.: The skin Textures\footman.blp goes to a "Textures" folder that you can create inside your w3 dir. Same thing applies to other paths, so a skin located on Units\Joe\Joe.blp goes to a Joe folder inside a untis folder inside your W3 dir. Hum I hope it was clear on my post, anyway I can try explain better if you still doesn't understand it. |

please read the help file and previous threads. If you don't find (and that would astonish me), we'll see... |

Ok, I found out how to view my own skin, but I didn't see what you were saying when you talked about the Joe thing. What does that Local Drive tab do? What would I need it for? |

About the Joe thing, I was just using that as an example of if, and showing that not all the skins go to Textures\. But it's ok if you got it to work. The local files is used to see files in your pc, outside a MPQ file. It can be used to convert files, view custom models/skins... Actually you don't NEED it. These functions can be acessed via Open... command as well, and convert funtions too. |

It's still not totally fixed, it messed up my alpha channel one time on a conversion to BLP (I know it's Viewer because WC3IE2 did the same file flawlessly) Don't get me wrong, it's a great program, and I've only had this happen once. |

Could you specify what skin did you try to convert? And what bit depth? |

MasterSlowPoke : I need to know which skni you convert, and please send me the original file before conversion. |
