If you like fyredawgs Unit Editor order then you will probably really like this: http://www.rodofnod.com/rodobj.jpg I also found the new TFT as well as Fyres very confusing and so I put all of the important fields at the top and the REALLY important ones at the absolute top. If anyone has any suggestions or would like a copy of the 2 files necessary to do this I will be happy to post them here. Also I am waiting for 4.0 as what I do may change how that works with UMSWE as we are all changing the same files. I have also shown SCIO my screens. Good Luck and have fun! |

ok, then if im not supposed to get those folders great. however, i do get the aforementioned error "unable to find target to patch". any ideas as for what causes this? running win2k if it makes a difference, and i checked the registry entries and they're fine. |

These options are already there (in 3.8 Scio didn't include them, but in 4.0 they will be back). The For loop until will not be possible as GUI triggers as these Multiple actions triggers are hardcoded (I posted a more detailed info about this in the wishlist thread). Quote:
Really? I didn't know. Please PM me about that. |

Hmm.. Great editor... Found one problem though.. ot sure what it is either. When I was working on my map (which has tons of custom units and imported images) the images suddenly all disappeared and were not visible. I say this, because it *may* be part of the problem. The problem is I pressed Test map and I got attacked with error messages. I tried it again later, but it did not repeat. I will copy the error messages below: MPQDraft fatal exception report: 07/23/2003 19:34:35.830 Exception code: 80000004 EXCEPTION_SINGLE_STEP Fault address: 00489c1f 04:00027c1f C:\PROGRAM FILES\WARCRAFT III\WAR3.EXE Handler address: 10001122 01:00000122 C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\EMB3243.TMP Registers: EAX:004620b0 EBX:00000000 ECX:de9dfc30 EDX:bffc9490 ESI:00000000 EDI:00000000 CS:EIP:0177:00489c1f SS:ESP:017f:007af540 EBP:007afdac DS:o17f ES:017f FS:1b7f GS:0000 Flags:00000202 Call stack: Address Frame Logical addr Module 00489c1f 007afdac 0004:00027c1f C:\PROGRAM FILES\WARCRAFT III\WAR3.EXE 004de148 007afe38 0004:0007c148 C:\PROGRAM FILES\WARCRAFT III\WAR3.EXE bff8b537 007aff78 0002:0012537 C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KERNAL32.DLL bff8b3e9 007afff4 0002:000123e9 C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KERNAL32.DLL So I pressed ok and I got a fatal error: WAR3 caused an exception 01H in module WAR3.EXE at 0177:00489c1f. Just thought I would let you know it happened. Also, I was wondering why the MPQDraft patcher logs are so frequent. You should make them delete themselves or just not log. I have 120MB in .txt logs in my UMSWE folder and they server no purpose that I can see. Thanks, Fiery_Maelstrom |

i cant stop the logs, those are built into the version of mpqdraft i have, if someone has a newer version id gladly use it. As for that error, im not quite exactly sure what caused it, but if you could send me the map ill try to figure it out. PM more for my email or find me on mIRC, the addy listed here is not my main account |

any ideas why id see an error "unable to find target to patch"? as before, registry is fine, no other proggies installed, none of those odd directories, and im running umswe3.8 from the warcraft 3 directory. thanks |
| 07-24-2003, 10:17 AM | #54 |
that error is casued by registy problems, so 1) made SURE the registry is right 2) reinstall |

[note: this is an edited post] after posting my reg entries here for other's perusal, i noticed i had misspelled "installpath" on the reg entry. "all for the lack of an 'l'". now i feel silly, but umswe works great. thanks for the aid. and btw, if anyone knows where that quote came from other than me i'll give you a cookie. ps. how about putting in the ability to choose custom units as the projectile art? i dont see a way to do that as of yet. |

I spoke about UMSWE in general. In the current version for RoC 1.10/TFT, there are no advanced terrain editing capabilities (Scio, correct me if you added some), but in UMSWE 4.0 there will be definately ones. |
| 07-24-2003, 08:09 PM | #58 |
yes it will, currently the only terrain editing enchancement I have added in is allowing 90 degree slopes on bumps, and a larger range of cliff differences, ie taller peaks, lower lows. |
| 07-25-2003, 08:07 AM | #59 |
When will you release it? I can't wait. |

I'm having a problem getting this to work. Does it have to be in any certain directory. The Problem: whenever I open it I get a bunch of pop up alert errors. Mostly fall around trigger problems. this is the first... Trigger Database error [TriggerEvents] - TriggerRegisterDestDeathInRegionEvent Data section and text section have different number of parameters (1, 0) Using: The Frozen Throne v1.1 Never used the previous UMSWEs... |
