War2 - Couple of jobs needed!!

i have a question...

If we want the ORIGINAL warcraft II we need fire... :////
my question:
the orcish dragons could attack more than 1 unit at the same time... line attack or so its called.
His fire burns over 4 units or so...
I thought to use the Storm Hammers Ability of the Gryphon Riders... but with this Spell the attack graphic is dust or somethin.
Which texture is used for the explosion at the second,thirth... unit ?
Or is it a own MDX ?

Suggestion:

Try no to balance the units exactly like war2, i mean there is better way to do it, just simply think about WAR3 but with 2 races and balance out...

Example:

HP Armor Atk. Pw. Atk. Sp.
Elven Archer 300 2 17-22 Fast
Troll Axe Thrower 340 0 19-26 Slow
Footman 550 4 16-20 Fast
Grunt 610 1 18-24 Slow

Orcish Horde Slow but Powerful
Human Alliance Fast but weak

OK everyone please read this

I've lots of things to say:
1. This project is going to be EXTREMELY hard:
... a) the 'build advanced structure' button
... b) the combat system
... c) all the un-modelled/skinned units (refinary, etc)
... d) oil system
... e) lots of the spells
2. I'm already very busy with other things:
... a) The Battle for Azeroth
... b) Brutal Spirits
... c) My personal life
3. There are so many people right now that are working on different Warcraft II conversions
4. I've lost so much interest in this that I'm at the point of OFFICIALLY QUITTING THIS PROJECT!!!! :(

If you guys are still working on this I will always be checking in to see how you are doing. I am very sorry for this, but I have a feeling that it isn't worth it.

Then again these are just my opinions. If you still have hopes for this, then keep at it. Try to make me regret quitting

a) I think if we do this project we dont convert things that are impossible...
b) What do you mean ?
c) oh yes... thats a big problem !
d) as i said: i figuerd out a working system (i think so... ) It's pretty good i think...
e) never thought about spells...

I keep on doing this mod... i dont know if i will ever finish it, but it would be great if we can help each other...

the combat system is all whacko, look above a few posts, knight of ni quoted it from blizzard or something

For Brutal Spirits, thats a new campaign that I've just started. all im done with it is the storyline, im gonna wait till BfA is done

Guys I want to help because this proyect can be done...
But not exactly like war 2, you still know that the editor is complicated and it take time to master it. So let´s start with basics of thing that diferentiate from war3.

1-Oil System
2-Little work on the spells
3-Building like Ogre Mound
4-Units like the oil tanker
5- BAttle System

That the important issues...
Remember this, Lets focus in one thing at a time.
1- no info
2- All the mayority of spell of war2 is on war3 it only need a little work
3- Find special building that can resemble the building in War2
Ex. High Elves Barracks can be a CHurch for the human.
4- I can be Orgre Battleship or a Destroyer enhanced like color and size.
5- Like I said, balance it with the war3 battle system

If you need any help just ask!

Haste: it has different effects on different units.
Then tell me again that most of the spells are in WC3, I think I might have to twist some of the spells so that they won't be the same, which is nearly impossible in their case, but will have the same effeciency and use as in WC2.

is this a to do list or is this a compleded list ?
i can say it again and again,
i have a Oil System
Building like the Ogre Mound
Unit like the orc tanker
They only need better skins..
Just look a few post earlier...

Ni, i hope you will get the spells work !

Well, I might have found a way to do D&D and Blizzard, but it will not be totally the same, also, one thing that annoys me is that many of the spells don't have essensial things like damage or duration described at B.net.

Guys I think this is a great idea and I would love to help. I know there have been already failed war2 conversions but they all gave up because of such little things. All that matters is that it is fun for the players. Yes a little bit of profesionalism is required but you dont need to go overboard and have everything exactly like it was in warcraft II. I can do lots of stuff for the mod, not including modelling and skinning . So you should post an update of what needs to be done and il see what i can do.

I know im not Lucky but il give my opinion anyways. The terrain is beautiful and very natural. I have no problem at all with it. Try to keep the unimportant conversations such as that with the captain and the emmisary to just a message and a reply. That way you won't need to go into Cinematic Mode some of the time and save alot of waiting.

Just my humble opinion. I'm gonna play aroud with the map just for the fun of it. Great start. :D

Wow I have to say this project is coming along well, I was actually working on an Ogre mound made from the Goldmine but I guess I don't need to now :P

BTW I've got a theory of how to do the advanced build button, I'll test it out then get back to you :D

1. i think we shud work on just warcraft 2 rite now (not the expansion yet)
2. About the cinematics, we shud leave those until a later version. Right now we shud stick as closely to war2 as possible, then slowly add more and more things (like heros, cinematics, your terrain, optional quests, and more)

for unit stats visit this page. It says everything about all the units.
